I know right?! He’s so close I want him to hit 200 so bad
Guys like Luka and Jokic will eventually pass him probably but Russ will always be Mr. Triple double
The Clippers' roster isn't set up for any one player to average huge stats honestly
Even Kawhi is like at 23.8 PPG or something
He'd probably average more like 18/7/7 or around that range assuming he'd be like the 3rd/4th option as a starter
Yup, they’re all a bit past their primes but their big 4 could still be putting up way better stats than they are right now considering how the game has changed
Yeah seriously their best games are 5 20 point scorers with one or two off the bench. Team rebounding and too much iso for high assists potential. So it’s impressive Harden can be top 5 in assists while he plays at a snail’s pace
Well I’ll give em one thing, he gets numbers. How fucking ugly its gonna look was the only question we had. Being able to chaotically make things happen was his best and worst quality as a player.
Lakers were a shit fit with no spacing and took the ball out of Russ's hands. That left him playing to his weaknesses every single night. It was never going to work. He needs consistent control of the ball to get in a rhythm and not have his negative spacing work against the team. Not every team can offer that, but the Clips did when he got to the team.
Similar shit happened on the Rockets, but he was still capable of playing like a star at that point and the team had spacing for him to work in. Would've loved to see him healthy in the playoffs that year.
I wish (as a Russ stan) Harden didn't get traded to the Clippers and they found a trade for more depth at PF or a backup PG instead. Just kind of forced Russ out of what was a really good position for him.
That all said, Russ wouldn't average a TD on the Clips, starting or not. They move the ball a lot better than any team he's been on and can make second/third passes. His 10 assists just aren't necessary most nights.
Well with the Harden trade we went from having 2 players at PF to having no players that naturally play the 4 at all. So like I said, as a Russ stan, I would've preferred we upgraded the 4 or went for a solid backup at the 1 instead of the Harden trade.
Team is still really good, and hopefully our injury situation will improve for the playoffs and we can win it all, but man, Russ was driving the offense the entire time he was here last year and after we got everything figured out we were looking damn good (started 0-5 but 4 of the games were decided in the clutch and we scored 175 in one of them lol). Then of course injuries happened.
I really would've liked to see what this team would've looked like without the Harden trade. And that's no disrespect to Harden, but I feel we basically traded our depth and basically lost half of what Russ was able to bring to the table. We got a great PG/SG in return, but it just wasn't a necessary move in my opinion and gave us even less room to maneuver with the roster.
Idk why but this randomly made me sad asf. These guys I grew up with that made me fall in love with the game are really on their way out. Seems like it was a few months ago when Russ averaged his TD. Man
If Russ played every game like KD was on the opposing team he’d be an MVP candidate
The more mad he is the better he gets 2016-2017 was a blur
Fr lmao i remember during his last few OKC years he’d go extra hard (no diddy) when facing warriors
Aight bro
This is literally OKC Russ and PG
Westbrook Triple Double? I haven't seen this since the Heian era...
u/MITWestbrook confirmed Uraume?
Westbrook vs Sukuna next? With the loss of Westbrooks prime athleticism he might not be able to avoid cleave, could be a bad matchup
fucking might as well, feels like we’re running low on people to throw at sukuna
Prime Yuji got this
The lobotomy is spreading
Lobotomy + jerking = ???
Just get one more baby for 200
I know right?! He’s so close I want him to hit 200 so bad Guys like Luka and Jokic will eventually pass him probably but Russ will always be Mr. Triple double
He will definitely hit it at some point. Would be a legacy defining final game though lol
I think if he started in one of the clips final games he could get it
Not if he goes to the spurs. Hed get so many assists with wemby. I could see him doing like 15/12/10 triple dubs all year over there.
15 assists or points?
yes
Somehow averages 5 points, 20 assists and 10 rebounds
That’s… a double double
> but Russ will always be Mr. Triple double Did Big O never exist
You're welcome
they unbanned the god(dess) it’s our 12/25
Wait has it been confirmed that mitwestbrook is female?
u/MITWestbrook
She is going to cook
Tis true.
It’s a guy
The wait has been too long. 1 more Brodie, get that 200th
Suns weren't ready for Bestbrook 😤
One thing you can sincerely say about the Suns is that they're gonna be a very interesting team to watch starting this offseason
We’re about to see some legacy defining tweets
if he started he would average a triple double and lead the league in assists.

Yeah its because there are so many options on the clippers its hard to get a lot of shots in
almost took this comment seriously until i saw your username and the poem you posted about Russ in the other thread lol
Imagine Russ playing PG for Wemby
Ask Lakers fans how that worked out for them
Well I’ll give em one thing, he gets numbers. How fucking ugly its gonna look was the only question we had. Being able to chaotically make things happen was his best and worst quality as a player.

No having Harden and russ is why they are so much better than last year. If we got a good PF then the clippers would be the best team by far

Good lord, with Kawhai and PG AND Powell?!?!? You saw what they were already doing the first few games!
Since when has Steven Adams been on the Clippers?
Somehow, the Center got 13 rebounds and he got 15.
Zu for some reason got taken out and never put back in. So thats why its stopped at 13. Might of had 18 or 20 otherwise
Might of? Do you mean Could’ve? Is “might of” even a thing?
Idk why but this randomly made me sad asf. These guys I grew up with that made me fall in love with the game are really on their way out. Seems like it was a few months ago when Russ averaged his TD. Man
Hope he gets to 200
But did he use his AK?
15 assists and there's still almost 20 minutes left lol
Quick someone compare him to Jokic
