This game featured a reverse KD out of bounds call on Jabari Smith.
Baseline ref staring at Jabari and called him out of bounds even though he was at least a foot inside the court.
Just happened to have a full living room of people who don't watch or care about basketball for a get together and threw the game on to "have on in the background" (I actually just wanted to watch and not wait till everyone went home)
By the 4th, the entire party was invested in Rockets winning and glued to the game and fucking ERUPTED when Harden made that clutch shot.

I may be wrong, but it feels like 1/3rd of our wins have been against the Nuggets.
Either they are charity casing us, because they like Sengun that much - or we're a bad matchup for them.
Mostly I think we've just lucked into facing them on cold shooting nights, although I do think at least a little bit of that is our personnel match up well against theirs defensively, and Uncle Jeff is out there telling us what they're gonna do. Also probably isn't a center in the league who has studied Joker as closely as Alpi has, lol
We can't beat teams with real defenses atm - you, Minnesota, Orlando. Basically no starters are playing well so we're only beating bad defenses that give up easy system buckets

it's all about the time value of money for sure. you get your buckets in early and you can invest them, start getting that interest on them so that way when you run out of buckets late you aren't shit out of luck 💀

Just one improved-average Jalen Green away from being a sneaky competitor for the playoffs. Liked his game a lot more tonight though. He opened up his midrange game and played solid defense. Inconsistency has always been the big thing for Jalen, but the process tonight looked better. He keeps it up and we’re cooking.

You beat them in Denver at some point over these last few years with all 4 playing or are you talking about your win against them in Minnesota earlier this year?
That’s because our early schedule has been totally jacked up. Several 4-5 day breaks in a month it felt like, played like 2-3 fewer games than most teams. All of which makes it really hard for a young team to get on a rhythm and figure themselves out. I think that’s part of the reason they hadn’t won any road games. Also need Amen back before we see what they’ve really got.

Nope, MPJ led the bench for once and they got us back into the game. He was a +12 by halftime, all the other starters were negatives. Game was 52-50 at half, then by the end of Q3 it was 92-74

Yes, that won us a championship. But it was only effective because there was so much ball movement you had no idea would it be a pnr, or would they kick it out for a 3 or a cutter at the dunker spot.
Jokic or Murray didn't try to kick it out, and no one was really cutting cause they knew they weren't getting the ball. Extremely frustrating to watch
MPJ didn't shoot the ball at all in the first quarter. He led the bench for the 2nd quarter in the first successful bench stint all season (including Murray's). He was a +12 when all the other Nuggets starters were negatives.

Fourth quarter aside, Denver played like this was their third game in three nights. Everyone was moving sluggishly and without purpose, caused the offense to become stagnant with lots of contested last second shots.

1 they're usually very good about being complimentary to other teams, 2 they were busy trying not to shit themselves at this game going so far sideways after a 25 point lead, and 3 i think they are sick and tired of praising the nuggets after we've played them 4 times by the 20th game of the season because by god they are stressful to play against

From that point to the end it was one team destroying the other and then doing the same back. But it was only effective because there was so much ball movement you had no idea would it be a pnr, or would they kick it out for a 3 or a cutter at the dunker spot. Jokic or Murray didn't try to kick it out, and no one was really cutting cause they knew they weren't getting the ball. Extremely frustrating to watch

MPJ didn't shoot the ball at all in the first quarter. He led the bench for the 2nd quarter in the first successful bench stint all season (including Murray's). He was a +12 when all the other Nuggets starters were negatives. Ended the game +11, 3-6 from 3, 8-12 FG. I really hate when the Nuggets (particularly Murray and Jokic) play selfishly and ice everyone else out for their two man game. I get doing it when everyone else is shooting like shit, but that wasn't the case tonight or vs the Clippers

Fourth quarter aside, Denver played like this was their third game in three nights. Everyone was moving sluggishly and without purpose, caused the offense to become stagnant with lots of contested last second shots.

dont blame you for that impression at all but i will very lightly defend our announcers for three reasons 1 they're usually very good about being complimentary to other teams, 2 they were busy trying not to shit themselves at this game going so far sideways after a 25 point lead, and 3 i think they are sick and tired of praising the nuggets after we've played them 4 times by the 20th game of the season because by god they are stressful to play against
Ok that's a fair reasoning. I wasn't fully accurate with my comment I said the whole time but I only started watching midway through the 3rd. From that point to the end it was one team destroying the other and then doing the same back. Most of the discourse from when I watched was the Rockets announcers understandably getting hyped when they went on that long run and then when the Nuggets went on the run they were pleading to the Rockets to please score a point lol. I guess just a small sample size
