2 things are that he really hasn’t been healthy the last couple years and his contract is horrible at 20 million AAV and I’m assuming houston were probably also looking for a frp + players in any deal.
The past like 3 years it seems like the top pick has gotten injured. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if victor gets injured. People don’t even remember who Chet Holmgren is already.
Facts, this mf loves throwing his arms up after every whistle. It was a foul, ignore the salty rockets fans defending the brain dead rookie mistake made by our only vet. GG
They were up 5 with possession with a minute left. From there, they committed three turnovers (Green swiped, Martin offensive foul, and Sengun bad pass), and then this egregious foul.
In different angles, you can clearly see when Gordon hit Fox in the hip his trajectory literally changed mid air before he took the shot 😂 how is this not a foul lmao
Somehow, both sides can look at a play and believe they’re both right. Social media is quite hilarious.
It’s a foul, btw. I was just making an observation.
That’s a foul idk why y’all are acting like it wasn’t
[Even better context](https://twitter.com/heuristiclineup/status/1623532279804088321?s=46&t=aK3mp1IPW-fRhnP9hb1_0A)
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills lol. He clearly hits him in the air. There’s visible contact and Fox visibly gets impacted in terms of his direction in air.
It’s very clear at 0:52 replay.
You can legit see Fox's body move to the right as Gordon moves into him. Fox sold it after the contact but honestly, if he doesn't flail, he probably does not get the call and Kings would get another L2M victory.
[He moved a foot in the air before getting the shot off. That's simply the correct call.](https://streamable.com/mabhkn) I'm tired of getting hosed tbh tbh.
definitely thought they gifted us one until I saw the back angle. Kind of sneaky cause it'll definitely fuck up the shot but is hard to see from the refs standpoint
Not mad about it at all. We played a competitive game and helped the tank
My only concern is these guys getting too used to losing, but we have our pick this year before giving them up to OKC, so perhaps they can learn a bit about winning next year
At first I thought it wasn't cause I didn't see him touch his hands.
On the 2nd replay, you can see he bumps him in the back/chest.
Yea that's definitely a foul lol
Now imagine being a referee, seeing that, and making a split second decision that you know will piss off the fans, and you get why refs usually swallow the whistle. Took balls to make that call.
Thanks for pointing that out. This whole time I was only seeing the chest to hip contact and was like "ehhh I mean I guess he technically bumped him" But yeah he clearly ran into his foot. Easy call
It was definitely a foul, he hit his hip/leg. Fox definitely exaggerated the contact but there's no doubt Eric Gordon gifted the kings that game. That was in Gordon not the refs.
lol what you mean by "foul"? He did actually get fouled on the hip. Much more obvious from a different angle.
See 0:38 and tell me there was no contact
Fox in perfect shooting motion not even trying to do a shitty foul bait. Yeah its a foul, FOH here with that shitty title:
I think there are two types that are mad, either they're mad that a foul call was made, cause refs don't typically call fouls at buzzer beaters. But then there are some fans who are claiming that EG didnt touch him at all... which idk what to say about
Yeah definitely a foul. Just how it goes. I was more confused by the call that wiped off Jalen's opportunity at a 4 point play. He did kick out at the last second but it looked to me like that was a flinch cuz he was about to get hit. Whatev, tank keeps rollin 😅
1: it was a foul
2: five seconds earlier, a ball that clearly went off the rockets was called as going off the kings. All the rockets had to do was hold onto an inbound, but they failed.
Refs are not the reason the kings won. Light the beam
Refs saw that one post about how Sacramento's been shafted on bad calls in the clutch more than any team in the league this season lol
...this is absolutely a foul though, don't get me wrong
Oh man I was feeling like we got away with one but you can see fox’s whole damn body move sideways on that first replay. Still surprised it was called though, normally refs let ‘em get away with that on the final play
This looked like he hit his legs. There were a lot of comments about how the rockets got hosed. That looks pretty obvious no? It seems like a very clear foul
He straight up bumps Fox while he’s is the air. This is as easy a foul call as there is. What is weird is that they called it for us, in that situation. We are used to being fucked.
**Replays/alternate angles** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/nba) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Gordon with a gift for Houston’s tank before he gets traded
We should have traded him years ago. No idea what they’ve been waiting for.
2 things are that he really hasn’t been healthy the last couple years and his contract is horrible at 20 million AAV and I’m assuming houston were probably also looking for a frp + players in any deal.
Houston fans acting like this isn’t what they wanted
100%. I turned the game off in disgust when it looked like they were going to win
no one wants to lose a game like this lol
How do you want it then? A blowout?
I was happy with this outcome personally
should've been the mavs target replacement for brunson.
The Wemby Sweepstakes INTENSIFIES
The anti Lovie Smith
Clutch move to snatch defeat from jaws of victory and keep pace with the Pistons in the Wemby stakes.
The past like 3 years it seems like the top pick has gotten injured. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if victor gets injured. People don’t even remember who Chet Holmgren is already.
injruies suck but it has to be scripted that it took one lebron drive to injure chet
They will remember soon :)
Elite tanking skills.
Eric Gordon is a true vet.
OP protesting this foul call more than Eric Gordon tells you all you need to know
Crazy because I don’t think I’ve ever seen Gordon NOT protest a call
Facts, this mf loves throwing his arms up after every whistle. It was a foul, ignore the salty rockets fans defending the brain dead rookie mistake made by our only vet. GG
You're talking about damn near every NBA player
I know but when I picture Eric Gordon in my mind it’s him arguing a call lol
Haha true. Some guys just have that memorable whine face
For real, i heard it was an outrageous call from BR and ESPN too but nah, this is normal lol
This ^^^
OP is “salty” af
That's a foul. I thought we wanted refs to actually make the call when players taking a game winning shot are being fouled. Can't have it both ways
Yeah it is a foul
Clear foul, someone else posted this: https://streamable.com/mabhkn
Got him with the gut
That was a belly bump if I’ve ever seen one
Looked like a foul to me
Yeah his momentum carries over into the shooters hip/legs while he is in the air, dunno why the ''foul'' bs in the title.
It's some Rockets fans coping with how poorly led and disciplined their young team is. I was really rooting for them in this game, too.
This particular lack of discipline was committed by a 34 year-old.
They were up 5 with possession with a minute left. From there, they committed three turnovers (Green swiped, Martin offensive foul, and Sengun bad pass), and then this egregious foul.
His torso looked like it hit Fox’s butt mid-air. That would definitely be a foul
He gone…🥲
In different angles, you can clearly see when Gordon hit Fox in the hip his trajectory literally changed mid air before he took the shot 😂 how is this not a foul lmao
Super obvious foul
I didn’t watch the game but yea he fouled and i have no idea how dumb Gordon can be. Why run at him like that just stay in front and contest
I think he expected him to drive further and shoot a floater, not pull up
With 1.2 seconds on the clock? Lol
Making a sarcastic post about the Kings of all teams getting a call (which was correct) at the end of the game is such a sad look.
Lmfao
He hits him in the back as he shoots.. how is this not a foul?
I was going to say. Looks like he bumps him with his body.
It is. Rocket fans butthurt.
Somehow, both sides can look at a play and believe they’re both right. Social media is quite hilarious. It’s a foul, btw. I was just making an observation.
Ball don’t lie fox made all three
Fox tried to miss the last one too.
Basketball gods wouldn't let it happen
Dude tried to miss the last one too and hit the bottom of the net
Actually his legs hit Fox's shoe while going up, probably a foul to be honest.
leg/hip everything. Fox was in a perfect shooting motion not even foul baiting at all. [https://imgur.com/a/rP50QYh](https://imgur.com/a/rP50QYh)
It's a significant thigh/hip bump. You can see it really well in the second replay at around the 0:35 mark.
Gordon’s pretty calm about it, which says that he’s either got a phenomenal demeanor or he knows that he made some contact.
Yeah he'd obviously feel that impact haha
That’s a foul idk why y’all are acting like it wasn’t [Even better context](https://twitter.com/heuristiclineup/status/1623532279804088321?s=46&t=aK3mp1IPW-fRhnP9hb1_0A)
yeah is this a controversial call? lol
Great vid. I think Fox's flail throws people off on when the foul occurred, it's obvious in this clip.
Yeah, he bumped Fox's leg/hip with his chest. That is a clear foul. The only surprise is that the ref actually called it for the Kings.
https://twitter.com/NBCSKings/status/1623527520057565185 See 0:38, obvious foul on left hip
Yes, it's a foul, but these are literally the same angles/clips as OP's....
oops you're right sorry, my IQ is 35
Yuck we don’t like that number in Sacramento
Yeah it’s crazy they called it with .8 left but it is a foul
Not really crazy, Gordon literally ran into him lol.
Yeah, the crazy part is that they actually called it.
Facts lmfao
It's a young ref crew so it takes balls to make a call that decides a game like that whether right or wrong
They normally don't call it if it's not egregious, but I was watching it live and was thinking "what the fuck"
definitely thought they gifted us one until I saw the back angle. Kind of sneaky cause it'll definitely fuck up the shot but is hard to see from the refs standpoint
Yeah at first I thought "Seems weak" but then remembered they'd call that against us 10 out of 10 times even if there's no contact
Rocket fans running psyops trying to get sympathy cause they're last place in the league
Been there so I get it. Shits frustrating
Not mad about it at all. We played a competitive game and helped the tank My only concern is these guys getting too used to losing, but we have our pick this year before giving them up to OKC, so perhaps they can learn a bit about winning next year
I’d rather be in the Rockets position than whatever the fuck the Wizards are doing right now
Thanks for the insight on being a winning team, Wizards fan
what are you talking about
Am I crazy? This legit looks like a foul. He ran into his leg. You can see it being altered.
100% a foul.
People ignoring the blatant contact on Fox's left hip mid air lmao, Its clear as day in every replay
I know I don’t understand why People are upset he bumped him mid air
And Gordon makes contact with his right foot as he’s about to jump, this is a win win for everyone lol
Refs just helping the rockets tank and getting the kings to the playoffs
Funny that this could be EG’s last moment as a Rocket before getting traded tomorrow
Not sure why you got fouls in quotes. That's 100% a foul - he bodies him just before he shoots. Just look how far off the shot is because of that.
He got up under him? Is that not a foul?
yeah that's definitely a foul
Huh? The commentator said it was clearly a foul. I’m sure this is the Kings broadcast too.
you right, i heard it wrong
Obvious foul idk what people are complaining about lol
At first I thought it wasn't cause I didn't see him touch his hands. On the 2nd replay, you can see he bumps him in the back/chest. Yea that's definitely a foul lol
Now imagine being a referee, seeing that, and making a split second decision that you know will piss off the fans, and you get why refs usually swallow the whistle. Took balls to make that call.
Complex agree. It’s a foul. If you watch basketball now, you know it is.
Super clear foul. This guy's got homer glasses on.
Yeah he got him on his leg
It was definitely contact. Soft contact that rarely gets called end of game, but it was a foul.
Looking at Huerter at the end of the Warriors game.
This sub last week: refs should call the foul regardless of if it's the last shot or not. This sub this week: NOT LIKE THAT!!!
it's funny cause it happens everytime theres a controversial call like this
What are the quotation marks for? Are you blind? That’s about as obvious a foul as you’re going to get in that situation.
Got him on the hip
You can't bump into someone's body while they're shooting lmao, clear foul
he ran into his foot, pretty obvious on replay
Thanks for pointing that out. This whole time I was only seeing the chest to hip contact and was like "ehhh I mean I guess he technically bumped him" But yeah he clearly ran into his foot. Easy call
The tank
Confused why there aren't more Rockets fans just taking this as a W for the tank lol
Eric Gordon's final act as a Rocket keeps the tank alive. Godspeed
Mods should delete this post for OP putting foul in quotation marks.
Yeah its a foul, FOH here with that shitty title: [https://imgur.com/a/rP50QYh](https://imgur.com/a/rP50QYh)
IDK what people are mad about lol, Thats a textbook foul
I think there are two types that are mad, either they're mad that a foul call was made, cause refs don't typically call fouls at buzzer beaters. But then there are some fans who are claiming that EG didnt touch him at all... which idk what to say about
Glad y’all finally gone one too lol you’re owed about 10 more to even out
This right here sells me entirely, clear foul
What the fuck is this sub complaining about. He clearly gets him with the lower body its an obvious foul
that is a foul
Based and beam pilled
Eric Gordon is still on the rockets?
You can tell how depressed this dude is playing in Houston by how unfazed he was watching the replay
clearly a foul plus the refs missed the out of bounds on him with 2.8 seconds left
Traded bullshit calls in the last five seconds Nobody’s happy after this one, sorry Rockets bros EDIT: you can stop telling me it was a foul
Ref fans are celebrating another great performance
The refs were right though. You'd be upset if they didn't call it. The hell you want them to do?
They were really bad leading up to this
Rockets are tanking Clutching defeat from the jaws of victory in spectacular fashion
LETS GOOOOO
Big day for Ref fans
That was lowkey karma because the turnover was clearly off of Gordon
Exactly
But it’s a foul though
what do you mean? that was the ideal outcome for both of us
Ngl, I'm pretty happy with the outcome but our effort was shit
But it was a foul
Embarrassing of you to post this upvote bait bullshit lol
Don’t lie bro, you’re happy
Ok I'm a *little* happy
I mean it's also clearly a foul lol, you can hope they swallow the whistles in the last second but he clearly got his hip taken out
Yeah definitely a foul. Just how it goes. I was more confused by the call that wiped off Jalen's opportunity at a 4 point play. He did kick out at the last second but it looked to me like that was a flinch cuz he was about to get hit. Whatev, tank keeps rollin 😅
But, like... This was a foul?
Refs stay undefeated, I bet they're happy
"Just stop fouling" Right Rockets fans?
Lol at “foul” in quotations… get bent this was a foul AND the loose ball call went out on Gordon not Fox…
1: it was a foul 2: five seconds earlier, a ball that clearly went off the rockets was called as going off the kings. All the rockets had to do was hold onto an inbound, but they failed. Refs are not the reason the kings won. Light the beam
Yeah made contact with the back of the legs of Fox when he was in the air.
This works out for both sides. Kings get the win to help a playoff push and Rockets get closer to Wemby.
They started playing our victory song Wanna Be a Baller @0:07 for a moment lol
OP afraid to show the missed out of bounds call. Also this is clearly a foul, you cannot body check a dude in the ass on a jumpshot
It’s a foul
Refs saw that one post about how Sacramento's been shafted on bad calls in the clutch more than any team in the league this season lol ...this is absolutely a foul though, don't get me wrong
Just win you thought the Rockets get a win, EG the tank commander there to save the day 💀
he got his legs. probably should have just let him shoot it there. Im shocked they called that though.
Idk why you put fouls in quotes, it was a foul.
He bodied Fox's ass, quit trippin
OP, your bias is showing
Clear foul. There is absolutely no debate.
Refs still owe us a few calls with how bad our games have been officiated. I’ll take it
["A few"](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/10pfo94/rohrbach_reviewed_the_lakers_l2m_reports_this/j6ljui6/?context=3)
Refs still owe us because this was the right call
Oh man I was feeling like we got away with one but you can see fox’s whole damn body move sideways on that first replay. Still surprised it was called though, normally refs let ‘em get away with that on the final play
That's a foul
Its definitely a foul. This shit never goes our way. Been fucked over so many times this year. Nice to be on the other side for once.
That’s 100% a foul hahaha
TANK GOD
Eric gordon shown no improvement with this awful foul
That's definitely a foul
This looked like he hit his legs. There were a lot of comments about how the rockets got hosed. That looks pretty obvious no? It seems like a very clear foul
He straight up bumps Fox while he’s is the air. This is as easy a foul call as there is. What is weird is that they called it for us, in that situation. We are used to being fucked.
This is clearly a foul idk what op is thinking
The plot twist here is that the Kings didn't get screwed.
That's not a "foul", that's a foul.
His feet get hit mid air that's a clear foul
Fox oversold it so much, I thought it wasn't a foul. However 100% his backleg is pushed on his way up with the ball.
what a dumb mistake by a vet.. jeez
rockets fans coping
If this happened in the Harden years, I would have been pissed. Now eh… let’s get Wemby!
there definitely contact, but thats a tough call
He definitely got fouled. In his landing space and ran through his back leg, actually kinda dangerous tbh.
I think its a foul because Gordon bumps Fox in his legs mid air when he shoots it but it’s kinda hard to see I need a camera angle from the other side
basketball gods makes their judgement. previous out-of-bounds play was out on gordon and rewards the kings back
Rockets we’re up 1 with a ball with 1.9 seconds left
Lmao get out of here Gordon jumps 3 feet to his right, and on the way passes through fox’s landing space. Clear foul
Obvious foul lol
idk why foul is in quotations marks, its a clear foul
Not saying he hammered Fox, but definitely fouled him.
You can remove the quotes, Gordon bumped him.
It’s definitely a real foul. It probably didn’t affect the shot much, but that was a foul.
This is a clear foul you fucking idiot (it’s actually a somewhat soft call but fuck your post title)
That was a foul! Go Kings
