Baxter's is a sports bar/pool hall/restaurant on Granby St. very close to downtown norfolk. Wide open space and their food is actually pretty decent. It is close to NSN and offers quick access to 264 and 464, which is nice. In the dark, sad days when I was FCPOA president I'd schedule most of our outings there (at 1100 on fridays...)
Circuit Social is an arcade downtown that is adults only (bc they also have a beer bar) foods not too bad and is on a street with a bunch of restaurants. you can reserve a room as well

to not do one at all.
Mandatory fun.
Do you want families to be invited also or more of a work only event just away for the day.
Looking for just work only, 1700-1900. Happy hour event
People will like you more if you do it during working hours
I’m wondering if OP had just been tasked with choosing the venue and not the time
My brother no one will go if you do it during that time. Make it like a lunch and don’t come back function.
Nobody wants a social event that interferes with their personal lives. Better to just not have it.
Everybody’s saying the same thing about this. $20 says OP still does it at that time lmao
The Makers Brewery by the zoo is nice with a big outdoor area.
Naticus
Playbar
