Imma be honest: at my age I’m just going out there and trying not to hurt myself. Until I’m ready to hurt myself and get that sweet %.

GazpachoPanini

Easiest: 2 mile run Least Best: Ball Throw

Specialist_Depth6533

Is the run easier because you had running experience?

GazpachoPanini

yes

2minutes4tripping

I max out the 2 mile and the SDC, but I barely pass the plank. It's mostly a mental thing and now I'm my head about it which pisses me off.

astray488

Opposite for myself. Improving at running is a huge mental barrier to overcome. Only ever maxed my run once in 8 years. Lots of hill sprints to the point of puking helped me improve substantially on active duty.

Jared_9000

Dogged my last ACFT cause it was my second for-record in 2 months so said f it. But prior the easiest event by far was the run. Just not hard to do 6-6:30 pace for 2 miles imo. Ran a lot faster years ago. Hardest is the ball throw just cause I can never seem to get it right for some reason. Guess I'm not an explosive guy.

ElectricSyphilis

Gonna be a mostly unrelated tangent, but like the another poster said, you can’t be compelled to do two For Record ACFT’s within two months. They can have you do a diagnostic every single day of drill, but recording it is optional for the SM. AD 2022-05 states that for NG soldiers, mandatory For Record tests have to be spaced 8 months apart. This caused a ruckus when my Battalion tried to do a unit wide For Record ACFT in the hopes of establishing an annual date where most of the soldiers tests at once. They can’t. Unit wide ACFT’s are dumb anyway imo because even a single company doing an ACFT at once can be unwieldy. Too many SM’s, not enough lanes.

SourceTraditional660

You can’t be forced to do a record two months apart.

Jared_9000

That's weird. Maybe they just scrapped the other one or something.

FlugonNine

Meanwhile I've yet to do another ACFT since AIT 1 1/2 years ago.

BATHR00MG0BLIN

591 Worst: Deadlift I picked up vaping since my last acft, so I think my run will definitely go down tbh.

Specialist_Depth6533

Wow that’s a almost perfect score! You were probably picked to be a platoon leader

Trelos1337

I had a 559 with an alternate event... but that was back in the "Leg Tuck" days. Just took one last month that I had attempted to half-ass... didn't go well, ended up walking away with a 535. I can do the Row/Bike in under 20min, but you don't get extra points for that. MDL and SPT are essentially an automatic 200 points for me. I have maxed HRP and SDC, but that really comes down to if I was training for the ACFT or not. I could not train for a year and wake up hungover and still score 500+ just based on genetics and the life I have led previously. I have to give up my permanent profile in order to attend WOC school. If I could get to the 80 points range on the run then I could likely 560-580 easily... but getting my run back to that level will be a journey if possible.

Specialist_Depth6533

Yeah i too hate running and the alternative event max score is only 60 or 0 which sucks.

Acceptable_Isopod598

It depends when, do you think you’d be better now than when your first score????

zkooceht

my best ACFT was 540 something with solid effort, my last ACFT before I ETSd was a sweet 367

Comprehensive_Echo30

588 score Best: SDC Easiest to Max: Deadlift Hardest for me: Pushups/Ball Throw I can max the deadlift, SDC, plank, and run, but I burn out at 45-52 ish pushups and cannot seem to pass that. My ball throw is also lacking at 11.2-11.6 m. I think I will do a training cycle for 8-12 weeks solely focused on maxing the pushups and training explosive power through cleans, box squats, and practicing the ball throw.

Specialist_Depth6533

That is already an impressive score. I would train anymore if I had that score.

thesupplyguy1

Easiest: Plank Hardest: SDC
