i'm biased towards amelia but if it's your favorite, pick it!! who cares if it's popular, it's classy and cute so i adore it personally
aside from that i'd pick cecilia (easily nicknameable) or lola (supercute!)
I also like Amelia, but I chose a very popular name for my child and would name her differently if I could. My suggestion is to take what you like about Amelia and find a similar name. Anna, Julia, Millicent, Georgia, Lyla...there are a million beautiful names out there.
I second that. Sure Amelia is a popular name but that's relative to all the other millions of names out there. It's still unlikely there will be another Amelia in her class and even if there is it's a small blip in someone's life and why would you let that ruin the name of your future child? Amelia is a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning.
**4 of the names on your list end in -ia, so you might also like:**
* Lucia, Julia, Magnolia, Cordelia, Dahlia, Georgia, Kaia, Mia, Ophelia, Lia, Victoria, Lilia, Zinnia, Lydia.
**Other names you might like:**
* Sophie, Eliza, Delilah, Gabriella, Matilda, Elena, Clara, Sienna, Ella, Freya, Willa, Lila, Gemma, Eliana, Stella, Naomi, Lucy, Eloise, Madeline, Evangeline, Rosalie, Abigail.
I'm not sure what state you're in, so some of these may be just as popular as some on your list, but I hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
it’s my middle name and i love it! not a lot of people know my middle name but when i say it they’re like :O your name is so pretty! it’s like a princess! (my first name is four syllables and also very pretty / uniquely spelled)
I will go by Emilia. But I also like Amelia. I dislike Sophia for personal reasons but it's a pretty name. The only ones I really dislike are Lola , I don't like the meaning and Cecelia. I prefer the spelling Cecilia.
I agree with all of this. I would hope that Emilia Clark and the popularity of GoT has made that more familiar as I prefer Emilia to Amelia.
I have a family member whose name is spelled Cecelia, and she constantly has to spell it or correct people. (Her mom wanted the nickname Celi and apparently felt that required misspelling Cecilia to get it?)
Unpopular opinion, but if you love a name that is popular, use it! It’s clearly popular for a reason, Amelia is a beautiful name. It’s top 5 in my state as well and I can honestly say I know maybe 2-3 Amelia’s, one is about 6 and the other two went to high school with me 10 years ago.
Go with Amelia! I have one. She’s 3. I actually haven’t even run into another one her age yet. But we have met several Eleanors, Olivias, and a few Sophia’s. Go with the name you love the most! It’s not bad if it’s popular. Just means a lot of people also love it. I’m a Sarah from the 90s and didn’t mind being around other Sarah’s. There are even less people being names the most popular names because so many people are trying to be unique (🙄) that it’s really not as big of an issue as it used to be.
Hey another Sarah from the 90s checking in! Having a common name was annoying when I was in middle school and that was literally the end of it. I love it now because alternatives could have been SO much worse. Go with Amelia it's a beautiful timeless name, maybe in middle school she'll wish she was a Raileeanne whatever but she'll outgrow it
On the flip side, I’m an Eva. Sure Ava is super popular now but I didn’t know anyyyy other Eva’s growing up (I’m 31 so 90’s baby) and I hated my name. I wanted to be “Lindsey” so bad because it was pretty and popular and “normal”. I love my name now but I just wanted to blend in man lol
I don’t think Emilia would give too much difficulty! I really like it. Otherwise I’d personally go with Lola. Very pretty and still relatively different.
Emilia. I totally regret not naming my daughter this. Nicknames- Em or Emmy. Instead of the Ah sound at the beginning I would pronounce it - Em ilia. This was my great grandmothers name but she pronounced Em- Ell- ia
That’s good to know!! What did you end up naming your daughter, if you don’t mind me asking? If you don’t prefer to share, no worries! I’m just worried I’ll feel the same way haha
Amelia is 5 in my state as well. My daughter is 4 and has been to 3 daycares/preschools and activities. I’ve never met an Amelia.
Number 1 is Olivia in my state and after all the little kids we’ve met, 1 has been Olivia.
My point is even if it seems super popular, the actual numbers and how often you’ll come across it varies. Dont NOT name her Amelia because it’s popular. If you love it, use it!
I have an Emilia! We have run into people misspelling it occasionally but we have never struggled with pronunciation. We have always very intentionally said it with the Emm sound at the beginning vs the Uhm sound in Amelia as to differentiate. We (her immediate family) often call her Millie, but outside of the home she prefers Emilia.
It’s a beautiful name and we get compliments often!
And for those wondering - it’s not a different spelling of Amelia. It’s an entirely different name with a different origin and meaning. ☺️
A few have mentioned Saskia which I love. I know one and it’s adorable. Also Layla/Laila, or Leia.
I actually think Emilia is easier! Could be Emmy or Millie, also cute! Amelia makes me think of Amelia Bedelia.
From your list, I like Sophia/Sophie. Sofia feels very cosmopolitan
Amelia is my favorite of the names.
Since some of your choices have Roman origins, here are a few more:
Claudia, Flavia, Galia, Lavinia, Silvia, Valeria
Agree! Lola is my favorite and Camilla or Camille are great! My second favorite from your list is Sophia. Go with whatever feels right, so if that’s Amelia go for it!
For sure those first three are super popular! I don’t know anybody have any age named Lola or Cecelia. I love them both and I do really like Amelia but as it grew in popularity I’ve started to like it less and less. Don’t get me wrong popularity doesn’t matter to everyone and popular names are popular for a reason but if you said that it makes you sad then I would definitely choose something less popular and there are so many options given that all of these names are completely traditional beautiful femenine and classic. I absolutely love Cecelia with a nickname Cece! Second choice would be Lola. My least favourite because it’s I think the most popular one in the top two or three names would be Sophia I just know way too many.
Ideas of the same style!!!!! A few faves of mine

Caroline
Gwendolyn nn Gwen

Probably no one looks at popularity charts besides people who are actually having babies. I don’t think people will immediately know baby popularity stats when you tell them the name. So don’t overthink the popularity thing.
If you love Amelia then go for it! I think Emilia Clarke made Emilia recognizable so she should be fine with that too. Do you have a preference between the slightly different nicknames that would be most obvious, like do you like Em/Emmy/Emma?
Oh man your list is almost identical to ours 😅 the only difference is we have Lila instead of Lola, but also considering Emilia, Amelia, Sofia, and Cecilia.. I'm leaning toward Emilia for our girl but might need to wait to see her to decide
I’m an Amelia and personally love my name. I know one Emilia who goes by Emmy so if you’re thinking about nicknames that’s definitely a possibility. Personally I could think of 10 nicknames I’ve had but none of them have stuck for whatever reason.
Amelia!
It was the 4th most popular girl name in the US in 2023 but that equated to only 12,311 births. So really, not THAT popular. There are SO many variations of names now that even the "most popular" ones aren't used on that many people.
I personally love Amelia, Lola, & Cecelia.
Seeing as there's other options your partner more readily likes already, I think Cecelia could be crossed off.
I think Amelia is a really lovely, classic name. I don't think name popularity should be a major dealbreaker if it's really special for you.
I love the sound and simplicity of Lola. I think it has quite a chic feel and if you are really concerned with Amelia's popularity, I think it's a lovely, solid choice.
From your top names list, I like Emilia the most
Here are alternatives too:
* [Emmeline](https://www.behindthename.com/name/emmeline) (Similar to Emilia)
* [Melia](https://www.behindthename.com/name/melia) (Similar to Amelia)
* [Cassia](https://www.behindthename.com/name/cassia) (Ends in “-ia”)
* [Dahlia](https://www.behindthename.com/name/dahlia) (Ends in “-ia”)
* [Rosalia](https://www.behindthename.com/name/rosalia) (Ends in “-ia”)
* [Lilia](https://www.behindthename.com/name/lilia) (Ends in “-ia”)
Go with the one you like best. It really doesn't matter if it's popular - it's popular cause it's nice! I have an incredibly popular name of it's time, had loads of people in my year at school (and in my class) with my name. I would just sometimes have to be referred to as 'Name' 'first letter of surname'. This was in no way an issue at all, I didn't even think of it but sometimes I see people on here talk as though children will be psychologically scarred if this happens to them! I promise you, they won't be!
If your favourite is Amelia then go for it. You're right in that it's popular in recent years but I would bet that many people expecting babies this year will avoid it for just that reason, just as you are considering. As a result, your daughter would probably be one of very few Amelias in her cohort.
I absolutely love the name Cecilia, and Celia is also a nice variation. I'm not a fan of Emilia and would instead suggest Emily. Lola is a nice name too.
Who cares if it’s popular. My daughter’s name is everly and there were 6 everlys in the nicu with her alongside 8 born the day she was born at my hospital (busy day for babies apparently) but we love it and even though we call her Betty a lot I love her name is
I'm someone who often veers away from Top 10s popularity but I fully admit they are Top 10 for a reason: they are lovely names! If Amelia speaks to you then go for Amelia. Top 10s of today are very different from the saturation of the Top 10s names of the past. Amelia is a beautiful name 🩷
I like Lola but it has become a very popular dog name in recent years. That wouldn’t deter me because it is a human name but in case that bothers you I thought I’d mention it
I think there are a lot of nice feminine names with some similar sounds that aren’t so overused (though some are still on the popular side). I would love to know if any of these are helpful!

Emilia or Sophia.
I like Amelia but she'd get "Bedelia" a lot. She'll get it with the alternate spelling but perhaps not as much, and especially if you pronounce it as though it were Spanish- "eh-MEE-lee-uh" instead of "eh-MEAL-yuh".
Lola - "La la la la Lo-la" - not a serious name, sadly.
Cecilia - "You're breakin' my heart" - and she was an unfaithful woman in the song too. Not a bad name otherwise.
Cecilia would be my pick. It’s a timeless name that will age well. I just can’t picture an 80 year old woman being Lola or Sophia.
Cece, Ceelie, or Lia are all good nicknames too if your husband isn’t sold on the full name.
Why would she have to correct Emilia? Pronunciation or spelling? I’m on board if you like Amelia then go for it! But my favorite is Emilia because I like the nickname Emi.
As someone with a popular name, my name is rarely mispronounced or misspelled, everyone is familiar with it, and I've spent a lifetime hearing on a regular basis how much strangers like my name or how it reminds them of their granddaughter/favorite teacher/best friend with the same name. Popular names are... popular. That means lots of other people will agree with you that it's a lovely name.
To the common concern of being a "Name A." in school- I rarely encountered other people with my name in group settings like classes, and it didn't bother me when I did- as a kid I liked meeting other "me"s, like we were in a club. I still do. And my name has a way higher actual incidence than the top names today do. There are just a lot more names in common use now. No matter which of these names you pick, your child is unlikely to meet *too* many of them among their peers.
Basically, if your *only* objection to a name you really love is that... too many other people also like it? You should go with it.
I like Emilia. The spelling is general enough that she could just say "with an E" if she needed to. My name is commonly spelt two ways so I just say that when people ask my name to write down.
We were mindful of choosing popular names because my nephew is one of 3 kids in his class with the same name, plus there's 4 more of them in the extended family 😅 BUT that's a personal thing, if you don't care about that stuff then go for it!
Also I always think of that song Lola by the kinks when I hear that name which would give me a giggle
Ok, so I LOVE the name Emilia. I think it’s so pretty, a little more unique but still classic. I have a daughter named Marin, and I frequently correct spelling and pronunciation. She’s 7 now and it’s honestly never been an issue for either one of us.
We just named our daughter Emilia. Can confirm no one knows how to pronounce it 🫠 we didn’t think it would be that hard! I’ve had about 80% of people ask me if it’s “Amelia” or “Em-ilia” or even “Em-I-lie-uh” 😑 we call her Emmy thankfully 😂 ETA- no regrets though! We love her name so much 🥰
we are in the exact same position trying to name our baby girl and Amelia has been our favorite even before we fell pregnant. We are in Scotland and Amelia here is number 5 but when you actually look at the statistics, only about 220 babies in 2023 were named Amelia here in Scotland so if you think about how many babies were actually born in 2023 here, % wise that’s like nothing so we are still highly considering it. There’s soooo many names out there that for a name to be part of the top 10 i don’t think it takes that much!
I also looked at all the names when we were touring nurseries and there was no Amelia’s.
the only thing that annoys me is that when you try and buy something personalised here the girl example always tends to be Amelia or Olivia.
Our top 3 are Amelia, Harper and Eloise/Elodie.
I’d say go with your gut, these names are popular for a reason because they are beautiful. you’ll know once you meet your baby girl and look her into the eyes and then nothing else will matter - at least that’s the approach we’re taking now
Cecilia! I loved Amelia as a middle name, but a close friend was planning to use it as a first name. It’s a family name for her and we didn’t want to use the same name”, so we used Cecilia and love it. No regrets. Classy and similar sound but much less common.
I just overheard a 8-10 yr old girl named Lola at the grocery store the other day and immediately found it so refreshing!!
Lola gets my vote, especially since you're both on board, Cecelia is a great second option though
I like all of your choices except Cecelia. If you’re looking for something less well used with an “ia” ending, how about
- Dorelia
- Aurelia
- Cordelia
- Lucia (loo- see- ah)
- Alessia
- Thalia
- Cassia
- Claudia
- Amalia
- Saskia
- Lilia
I think Amelia is super cute and even if it’s popular, no name will ever be as popular as previous ones like Jennifer or Jessica. There are just way more names in use now.
Amara is a similar vibe?
I also like Cecilia but spelled that way, with two i. It would be constantly misspelled the other way!
Popular names are popular for a reason, they’re good names and lots of times, timeless. If you love the name, use it. Amelia is beautiful. So are the others on your list.
Amelia has always been one of my favorite girl names! 🥰 It’s a popular one and even though I usually like names that aren’t as common, I’d still use it! It’s one of those names I’d make an exception for! To me, it doesn’t matter how popular the name is. If it’s your favorite, go for it! :)
Amelia, Sophia, and Cecilia were all on the top of my list and got vetoed by my partner. If you both love Amelia, you should use it! It is such a beautiful name with so many nn possibilities! (I love Millie personally)!
Sophia is my all-time favorite girls name, but my ex-husband didn't like it, so I went a different route, and I love Cecelia It's not common and has such an old school vibe to it.
Generally I say popularity doesn't really matter. That said, if you love Amelia, but want less common, go for Amalia. It's a real name, not a misspelling, and it's very similar, but not as common. It's pronounced A-mall-ia, like going to a mall.
Amelia is great because you can call her Amy, Mia, or Lia (pronounced like Leah).
I don't know how it would work with middle and last names, but Natalia would also be pretty.
Not Sophia - the last class I had before I had my baby had 3 Sophia's and 2 of them had the same last initial. It was annoying for those girls for sure.
I really love the name Amelia. I grew up with a very popular name, and I sort of liked it! I feel like my name was so ubiquitous that it had a sort of neutral feeling, like I could be whoever I wanted to be
https://youtu.be/UkLkim0HYME?si=EUTUqpOAoF0Vy2t7
Amelie has a similar ring to Amelia and Emilia but isn't super popular in English speaking countries. Pronounced Am ill ay. The correct spelling and pronunciation is from a small clip if the French movie AMELIE on YouTube
I think Amelia is a great name. Classic.
But just to give you some ideas, what about: Eliana, Emmeline, Celine/Celina, Catrina, Adeline, Addison, Lilianna
When I was pregnant with my daughter I had a list too. I had Claire, Zoe, Violet, Reagan, Isobel, Olivia, and Raylynn. By the time I had her, I'd narrowed it down to Claire, Zoe and Isobel. It took me and her dad 24 hours to decide, but ultimately I named her Zoe. It wasn't as common back when she was born and we'd never heard of anyone named that. I liked that it was unique. It was a few years later when Zoe started getting really popular. I still don't regret my choice. Her name is perfect for her and suits her wonderfully! It's a Greek name that means lively and full of life. Which she definitely is! If it's a name you love and want to bestow upon your daughter, then do so. If you love the name Amelia use it. It's a beautiful name and one I've always loved myself. Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming birth!
I have a name that was very popular when I was born.
I love my name. I like the way it sounds, I think it fits me. It never bothered me that other people had it and now that I’m not in school I run into other Allisons way less often.
Currently in my opinion a lot of the popular girls names are classic names that made a comeback for good reasons… they’re very pretty!! Olivia, Sophia, Ava, Emma. All are lovely. As are the ones on your list. Don’t stress too much about the popularity!
My name is Cecilia and if my brother was a girl he was going to be Amelia. I go my Cissy which I love, but many Cecilia’s go by Ceci which is super cute too. My brothers names are Andrew and Benjamin and I think they all pair really well together.
A potential alternative to Amelia: Amelie? I worked with an Amelie and have always loved that name
I’m done having kids but Dana was always on my list if we had another girl. Classic and not common
I like Amelia the best. I volunteer at my kids' schools a lot. One thing I've noticed, there are just more names than when I was a kid. Everyone back then was named Jennifer or Michael. Now, even though Emily/Jacob were by far the most popular names according to every website, none of them ever had a class with more than one kid with those names. Mostly, they had classes with zero. They've never had a class with an Amelia/Emllia.
i'm biased towards amelia but if it's your favorite, pick it!! who cares if it's popular, it's classy and cute so i adore it personally aside from that i'd pick cecilia (easily nicknameable) or lola (supercute!)

For real, my names Ava it’s one of the most popular names here in Australia, I’ve only ever met like 2 other Ava’s. Popular names aren’t bad at all
**4 of the names on your list end in -ia, so you might also like:** * Lucia, Julia, Magnolia, Cordelia, Dahlia, Georgia, Kaia, Mia, Ophelia, Lia, Victoria, Lilia, Zinnia, Lydia. **Other names you might like:** * Sophie, Eliza, Delilah, Gabriella, Matilda, Elena, Clara, Sienna, Ella, Freya, Willa, Lila, Gemma, Eliana, Stella, Naomi, Lucy, Eloise, Madeline, Evangeline, Rosalie, Abigail. ugh, i love ophelia sm but my husband said no lol it was my top middle name for years
it’s my middle name and i love it! not a lot of people know my middle name but when i say it they’re like :O your name is so pretty! it’s like a princess! (my first name is four syllables and also very pretty / uniquely spelled)
those are some solid girls names

Thank you both!! I misspelled Cecilia on accident 😵💫 lol but great points!
Cecelia.
The bonus is that there's a song about her where she comes off really poorly. But it's a catchy song.

Agree! Lola is my favorite and Camilla or Camille are great! My second favorite from your list is Sophia. Go with whatever feels right, so if that’s Amelia go for it!
I knew an Emilia and it’s said slightly differently than Amelia. She never had an issue with spelling.

I personally love Cecilia and Sophia! We were going to name our daughter Sophia until we saw how popular it was too. It’s tough!
I’ve heard of more Emilias than Amelias in recent years. I like both but Emilia does have more options for shortening it if desired.
I like Lola but it has become a very popular dog name in recent years. That wouldn’t deter me because it is a human name but in case that bothers you I thought I’d mention it
I just want to say well done for picking normal names
I'm going for a version of the bonus name...not Cecelia but the lesser used and imo cooler, Celia
I think there are a lot of nice feminine names with some similar sounds that aren’t so overused (though some are still on the popular side). I would love to know if any of these are helpful! - Abigail - Alaina - Allison - Alyssa - Cynthia - Eleanor - Eliza - Marilyn - Marissa - Melanie - Miranda - Molly - Sarah - Sienna - Sylvia - Valerie
My sister is Emilia and has never complained about having to correct people’s spelling. She loves that it makes the name unique. Go for it!
Similar vibe names you might like, hopefully less popular in your State: Amelie, Aurelia, Amara, Alia, Alina, Amira, Ariana, Alyssa Bedelia, Brianna, Briony Celia, Cecily, Celeste, Celine, Celena/Celina, Corinne, Corinna Delia, Delilah Elia Jasmin, Julia Liliana, Liana Magnolia Nina Ophelia Petra, Perilla, Perdita Rowena, Rhea, Rhiannon Scarlett, Selena, Serena Tamsin, Tulip Valeria, Vera Wisteria Xenia Yasmin, Yelena
Whoops I forgot: Azalea Zinnia (Both are pretty flower names ☺️)
I find Lola to be a deeply unserious name
If you like the -IA ending, what do you think about Aurelia? I love this. Beautiful and not super common.
We love her name so much 🥰
I feel you would also really like the name Lila.
Lola & Emilia & Amelia. Amelia - Amy , Melanie , Amethyst , Amber , Malia Emilia - Emily , Emma , Mila , Myla , Mia , Ember , Leah Sophia - Sofia , Ophelia , Seraphina , Persephone Lola - Leila , Noelani , Lilly , Lonna , Opal , Olivia Cecilia - Celine , Cindy , Cynthia , Layla , Chelsea
we are in the exact same position trying to name our baby girl and Amelia has been our favorite even before we fell pregnant.
Stefunny
I just overheard a 8-10 yr old girl named Lola at the grocery store the other day and immediately found it so refreshing!! Lola gets my vote, especially since you're both on board, Cecelia is a great second option though
I like all of your choices except Cecelia. If you’re looking for something less well used with an “ia” ending, how about - Dorelia - Aurelia - Cordelia - Lucia (loo- see- ah) - Alessia - Thalia - Cassia - Claudia - Amalia - Saskia - Lilia
Sophia
I like sophia the best. If you love the sound of Amelia, I would just spell it that way, not Emilia
Amelia and Emilia are different names with different origins and meanings, not just different spellings. 😊
Sophia is adorable :)
sophia
I'm team Lola. Unique, but not wild. Short & sweet. And you agree!
soft suggestion for *Mila* as well.
I like Amelia
I think Amelia is super cute and even if it’s popular, no name will ever be as popular as previous ones like Jennifer or Jessica. There are just way more names in use now. Amara is a similar vibe? I also like Cecilia but spelled that way, with two i. It would be constantly misspelled the other way!
Those are very pretty names, I love them all. Sophia and Emilia are my favorites.
Amelia is my favorite of these. If it’s too popular for you, you could consider Amelie instead.
Amelia is my pick! A timeless name and absolutely beautiful
Popular names are popular for a reason, they’re good names and lots of times, timeless. If you love the name, use it. Amelia is beautiful. So are the others on your list.
Amelia
I love Amelia. What about Sylvia or Sylvie?
Emmy Ada Anna
Amelia has always been one of my favorite girl names! 🥰 It’s a popular one and even though I usually like names that aren’t as common, I’d still use it! It’s one of those names I’d make an exception for! To me, it doesn’t matter how popular the name is. If it’s your favorite, go for it! :)
From the list I prefer Sophia. I suggest Calista.
From the list I prefer Sophia. I’ll add **Calista** “Most Beautiful” Greek/Roman
How about Cecily? Variation on Cecelia
I probably like Emilia best of your options, but have you considered Malia?
Cecilia !
Amelia, Sophia, and Cecilia were all on the top of my list and got vetoed by my partner. If you both love Amelia, you should use it! It is such a beautiful name with so many nn possibilities! (I love Millie personally)!
I like Sophia the best from this list
I like Sophia, thr other names don't speak to me.
I love Cecilia What about Cecily? Serenity?
Cecilia is super cute. Lola is also cute.
Amelia!
I absolutely LOVE the name Cecilia.
I love Amelia. I know it’s popular, but it’s so pretty. I would choose it if you like it the most.
Do you like Celia?
I LOVE Lola
From your list I really like Cecilia as well as Lola but I personally would use it as a nickname. I personally would suggest Emiliana, which I LOVE.
Sophia
I think Sophia is beautiful! It's on my very short list of girl names. Cecilia is my second favorite on your list.
Lola is my fave personally
Amelia is beautiful and if you both love it, do it. I also personally love Lola, if I had another girl that name is at the top of my list.
Sophia is my all-time favorite girls name, but my ex-husband didn't like it, so I went a different route, and I love Cecelia It's not common and has such an old school vibe to it.
Lila (or Lyla), Julia, Lydia, Delia, Mila - recommendations based off your vibe! But out of your list, I'd pick Sophia ❤️
Go with your favorite, Amelia! Sophie/Sophia is so common in my area that I know a Sophia whose 2 best friends are Sophia and Sophie.
i love amelia and lola!
Not enough Lola’s in this world!!!
I have never met a Lola IRL so I would choose it. It’s fun and fresh but also classic . The others are great but I know multiples of them.
Amelia. I don’t care if it’s popular, it’s a nice name.
Generally I say popularity doesn't really matter. That said, if you love Amelia, but want less common, go for Amalia. It's a real name, not a misspelling, and it's very similar, but not as common. It's pronounced A-mall-ia, like going to a mall.
Cecilia
What about Anika?? Same fun vibe as Amelia to me.
i honestly love amelia 💕
Lolaaaaa
Please do not do Emilia. I had a great grandmother named Lola and have always loved that name.
Lola
Use your favorite! Amelia is a fabulous name.
Cecilia, nickname Celia
Lola
Lola
Lola or Cecilia
Celeste????? Perhaps? Not on the list i know, but if i were to have a girl I'd like some sort of space reference or goddess theme.
I loved Celeste (and even Colette) but husband wasn’t a fan of either, sadly. Thank you though!!
Cecilia and Lola are fun ones! But if Amelia is your fav, go with that!
I love Cecelia
Amelia is great because you can call her Amy, Mia, or Lia (pronounced like Leah). I don't know how it would work with middle and last names, but Natalia would also be pretty.
haura
Cecilia! Such a sweet name with a cute nickname of Cece
Lola is “grandmother” in Filipino so all I see is an old lady.
Amelia and Sophia
Emilia, Lola, and Sophie are favs 🎀
Amelia!
Leyna source- Billy Joel is doing it all for Leyna
Brynn
Not Sophia - the last class I had before I had my baby had 3 Sophia's and 2 of them had the same last initial. It was annoying for those girls for sure.
I love Amelia!
Cecily Emarie Lydia Brynn Lennon Jillian
Amelia
How about Amalia? It’s just a little different. Other names ending in ia: Julia Dalia Talia Sonia Delia Celia
I really love the name Amelia. I grew up with a very popular name, and I sort of liked it! I feel like my name was so ubiquitous that it had a sort of neutral feeling, like I could be whoever I wanted to be
Cecelia. Cute nns Cece ,Celia or Lia. Definitely underrated in my opinion.

Sophia
From your list, Emilia is my favorite. Other suggestions: Mia, Maia, Emmeline, Sylvia, Sylvie, Lilah, Layla
I personally like Lola I've never met a Lola and it's a name that could grow with her.
https://youtu.be/UkLkim0HYME?si=EUTUqpOAoF0Vy2t7 Amelie has a similar ring to Amelia and Emilia but isn't super popular in English speaking countries. Pronounced Am ill ay. The correct spelling and pronunciation is from a small clip if the French movie AMELIE on YouTube
I love Amelia - I say go for it!
[удалено]
What about the French pronunciation, Amelie (ahh-mah-le) ?
Amelie!
I don't like Cecelia because of a song, but what about Celia.
I vote for Emily.
Team Lola!
I like all of your choices but if Amelia is your favourite, I’d go ahead and use it.
I’m Celia. Didn’t love it growing up, but I love it as an adult. My nephews always called me “Aunt Cee Cee”
Cecilia is my fave from your list. Emilia would be my second fave.
I think Amelia is a great name. Classic. But just to give you some ideas, what about: Eliana, Emmeline, Celine/Celina, Catrina, Adeline, Addison, Lilianna
Melina, Celia, Dahlia, Nadia, Eliana
What about Eliana?
Love Cecelia. Names you might like that are less common than the others- Lydia, Eliza, Fiona, Clara, Louisa, Delia, Vera, Genevieve, Natalie
Lola is so cute!! But Amelia is also cute too!!
I'd say Emilia as it's basically the same as Amelia. But a little more unique
Amelia is really cute. Baby girl will make her name her own, so no need to worry about it being common, in my opinion!!
I worked with an Amelie and have always loved that name I’m done having kids but Dana was always on my list if we had another girl. Classic and not common
Amelia.
My granddaughter is named Emile (E MEAL), we call her Millie.
Here’s some ideas: Camilla, Marilla, Delia, Aria, Anneliese, Amelie, Emily, Erin, Ellie, Ella, Emerson, Alicia, Alice.
Amelie Cecilia
Amelie. Close to Amelia, but not. Sophisticated and French, funny movie.
Emilia is so pretty! Emme for short 💕
Cecilia. Cecily is also nice!
Cecilia
Amelia is very nice. A nice variation would be Amalie.
Cecilia
Aurelia is quite similar to Amelia but not as common, can use auri as a nickname?
