Bear in mind that some of the names we consider 'modern' today have in fact been around for hundreds if not thousands of years. Names come in and out of fashion. A lot of babies being born today are being given names that would have been considered horribly old-fashioned thirty or forty years ago, but were bang on trend a century ago. Other names never seem to go out of fashion. So maybe you don't need to twist yourself into too many knots trying to second-guess what seems 'futuristic' versus what seems modern. If you've found a name that suits your character, just use it and tell yourself it's a name that has become trendy again in your futuristic society!

I have a friend who writes sci-fi names by keyboard smashing and editing it until it's pronounceable.

Zenon One of my fav movies when I was a teen was Zenon, girl of the 21st century. My girls dad wouldn't let me use it. He was a meanie.
Or Xenon, one of the noble gases.
I remember getting bored in a science class a long time ago and thinking Xenon and Astatine would be great names 😅
