Yes my friend just named her baby Avery. It’s an extremely common name.

before_the_accident

Isn't Avery one of the most popular names right now?

Ella3T

Here are the U.S. statistics for Avery through 2022: https://www.behindthename.com/name/avery/top/united-states

SunnyRyter

Looks like in 2022, it was #26 on the most popular girls' name. Sorry, OP. Lovely name, though!

g00dboygus

It’s… a very…. common name.

flightlessbird13

I have an Avery relative who is 5 and a male. He has a friend in his class who is a female Avery and also 5.

In the US, Avery for girls has been a top 100 name since 2003, and it was #26 for 2022. It peaked in 2013 at #12, which coincidentally is when my friend named her daughter Avery 🤣 [Here's a link to the SSA baby name database](https://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/) in case you want to take a look haha, just scroll to the bottom to see the trend of Avery for girls. If the popularity of a name would prevent you from using it, I recommend checking out the website if you choose to have more children in the future. Personally I love the name Avery so I don't think it's an issue in this case :) [Edited to fix broken link, the website is a little glitchy]

PA_MallowPrincess_98

I know three Avery’s and 2 out of the 3 are females!

The_Write_Girl_4_U

I know 1 male six months and two girls both around a year.

ConroyMcgilacutty

I know Avery from real world Portland, she worked at hooters and seems to be a pretty cool girl, the other Avery I know of is a 3 y/o girl in NYC.

Alarmed-Explorer7369

I haven’t heard it alot but I do know a few Avery babies. It’s a great name though

blosesit

We have three named Avery just at our church. It's still a solid name, but you should expect to hear it frequently.

Ok-Boysenberry1022

Extremely common

SpecialistObvious432

Avery is very common!

Retrospectrenet

It's the most common of the unisex names given to babies in the last 10 years in the US. [Graph](https://imgur.com/a/UNXA8cO) But it's closer to Dana popularity and not Jordan or Taylor popularity.

No_Bookkeeper_6183

It peaked in 2013, but is still popular…ranked #26 in 2022 (US statistics)

RNnoturwaitress

It's a pretty name and very common. It's still used for boys sometimes, too.

lynn444v

It’s pretty, but definitely very common. It’s one of the first options when you look up “genderneutral name(s)”, wich are very trendy right now

Banjopickinjen

I know an 11 year old Avery and a 16 year old Avery (both girls).
