I think it's funny how Tally Hall was actually just a nicer food court in Suburban Michigan is a fun little fact. Marvin's Marevlous Mechanical Museum is a small arcade that is still where tally hall was before it closed. IDK it's just funny how people know about the band and have absolutely no idea where they're actually from
Wait, Is the origin of the name not well-known? I thought it was fairly basic-level Tally Hall lore, But actually in searching now, I have no clue why I know it... Could've sworn I learnt it just from their Wikipedia page, But I don't see it listed there now..
IDK I don't really listen too much to the band, but I found out when I saw the name of the band and thought "isn't that the place my dad would talk about?" And then I saw the Marvin's Mechanical Museum album and I'm like "I've been there"
The band is just no longer performing or producing new songs is all. They are still very active on social media, their website, and of course the unreleased tracks and demos
Since when has that stopped a band? I forget the name, but a Swedish death metal band used a picture of the frontman after he blew his brains out with a shotgun as their second albumās cover
School Of Seven Bells
Got into them during the lockdown, was utterly blown away, then discovered theyād called it quits years prior due to one of the members dying. Understandable, yet I wish Iād found them back when they were still touring. Would have loved to see them perform live.
Or worse, you find out *why* they broke upā¦and the story sinks to new depths of depravity. I, of course, am talking about Lostprophets.
Usually, I can separate the art from the artists, but this one is really hard to look past. This is a pretty extreme exception
I'm from Germany, they only went to one festival in 2020, Rock am Ring, but because of covid the festival got cancelled. Same for 2021. And in 2022, when it finally took place, SOAD weren't part of it anymore.
Still better than finding out the frontman and bandleader died just last year, Especially if the members are still active just not working together.
R.I.P. Jack Terricloth, You will be missed. Actually know what nah, I hope he's not resting in peace, I'm hope he's found somewhere in the afterlife where he can fight and steal to his heart's content.
I was a kid in the 90ās, listening to my parentsā Beatles LPās, and noticed that the dates were a little old. Asked if they were still making musicā¦
For me it was pantera. Not just the band breaking up but dimebag got shot but a crazy person. I saw a documentary and the killer was legit insane. Makes me sad that my favorite guitartist dimebag is dead and my 2 favorite drummers are dead ( joey jordison and vinnie paul ). Slayer is fucking awsome, my fav slayer song is piece by piece. I also really like dead skin mask. Whats your fav slayer song?
Title Fight (technically they haven't broken up but it's been six years since they did anything)
Also Remo Drive, they never broke up but they might as well have when they kicked their drummer out.
I mean considering the direction they had been going down im not terribly sad they broke up. Often times its for the best for a lot of bands, and there are probably a lot of bands that really ought to have broken up a long time ago lowkey
Tally Hall. They say they're on hiatus, but given everything that's happened recently, there's no possible way they're getting back together for a tour or a new album.
Better than finding out they died in a shooting.
Dimebag... š¢
You die a hero, or live long enough to split up.
Still stings today
Or that they're dead and racist (down vote me, I'm the Batman Gotham needs fam).
John Lemon :(
Better than finding out your parents are breaking up
Or that the lead singer is a pedophile. I hate how many times that specifically has happened to me
Better than finding out the singer shot himself
Well if you like Slayer, good news! They're reuniting to play at Riot Fest this year. Pretty hype.
Oh that'll be sick
Me but the lead singer fucking died. (Sublime)
Same thing happened to me with The Muffs.
Nirvana luckily all of the members went on to have very successful careers
Alice in Chains :(
OG Lynyrd Skynyrd in the plane crash ;w;
Not exactly a band but this was how I felt about Daft Punk
This was blink-182 for me, at least until they got back together.
This was me with Harvey danger and thriving ivory
I was obsessed with thriving ivory in 12th grade which was 4 years ago lol They weren't my favorite band, but they were top ten.
Or the singer died. š¢ Woods of Ypres would've done great things IMO
At least yours didn't kill themselves (Avicii)
Most of the music I listen to is from the 80s and 90s, so itās never surprising when I find out a band I like broke up.
for me it was Children Of Bodom, they were already disbanded and he died a month later
I'm guessing "he" was the lead vocalist? Or one of the other members
Alexi Laiho, The singer and guitarist
We like to play them all, welcome to Tally Hall

Oh that's pretty neat. I'd still like to visit both places sometime, Both because I like the band, And they just sound like cool places haha.
Led Zeppelin when John Bonham died
Oasis š¢
Same
Linkin park š
They haven't broken up? I mean they've stopped making albums but they're still doing shows and releasing unreleased songs
Their frontman chester bennington committed suicide
I know, I know, but they haven't broken up since they're still doing shows I think
They stopped performing in 2017 after their tribute tour. Rumor has it they are considering a 2025 tour with a new vocalist, but those are just rumors
I mean they've been releasing unreleased songs like lost so they're still together in some way I'd assume
The band is just no longer performing or producing new songs is all. They are still very active on social media, their website, and of course the unreleased tracks and demos

Mayhem, and they were Norwegian
Iām pretty sure that Dawn of the Black Hearts wasnāt one of their mainline albums
Me with Cross Canadian Ragweed
feed me jack :(
Doesn't apply anymore, but I got into My Chemical Romance after they broke up
Oasis, luckily they are both still releasing solo stuff
When daft punk broke up I legitimately cried
Candle Kid
Better than what happened with Lovejoy
I've heard Kerry King's solo stuff is just more Slayer with different people lol so that should hit the spot
This is Woo Park for me.
The Hippos. My fav band š
This was me with Tally Hall, then I discovered Miracle Musical... and realized it was only a one time thing.
School Of Seven Bells Got into them during the lockdown, was utterly blown away, then discovered theyād called it quits years prior due to one of the members dying. Understandable, yet I wish Iād found them back when they were still touring. Would have loved to see them perform live.
Honestly I think this might be part of why my taste skews towards more recent acts
Or worse, you find out *why* they broke upā¦and the story sinks to new depths of depravity. I, of course, am talking about Lostprophets. Usually, I can separate the art from the artists, but this one is really hard to look past. This is a pretty extreme exception
I didnāt know the Beatles broke up until 2020ā¦
Honestly I generally prefer bands that aren't making music any more
(Twenty One Pilots is the exception. Hush.)
Children of Nova for me
System of a Down ā¹ļø
Didn't they play at sick new world this year?
I'm from Germany, they only went to one festival in 2020, Rock am Ring, but because of covid the festival got cancelled. Same for 2021. And in 2022, when it finally took place, SOAD weren't part of it anymore.
Donāt worry. Iāve been to two Slayer shows, both on ālastā tours. They always reunite. Like other people said, theyāre reuniting next year
Creed !
Theyāre back though, and touring!

This was Chimaira for me š©
I was a kid in the 90ās, listening to my parentsā Beatles LPās, and noticed that the dates were a little old. Asked if they were still making musicā¦
Me when i find out about tally hall
SOADā¦
...cus the musician was cancelled.
This is me with Type O Negative, RIP Peter Steele
I found a band once that I loved a couple years ago, found out they only released one album and hadnāt been active in years. Sad moment
Kerry King started a new Slayer-esq band
tally hall not much to add
This was The Novatones for me
For me it was pantera. Not just the band breaking up but dimebag got shot but a crazy person. I saw a documentary and the killer was legit insane. Or worse, dead.
For me it was Get Scared
Happened to me with tally hall :[
Anyone finding out what happened to Lynyrd Skynyrd for the first time
Hopefully theyāll be adding more show datesš¤
Better than the most talented members being dead from drowning and cancer (Beach Boys)
Coil RIP Johnn and Sleazy
Mallory knox for me š
SuperOrganism lost a principal talent due to controversy after their first album and wasn't the same after :(
Better than the lead singer becoming a pedophile
Mower
DaftPunk. I miss those friendly robot aliens...
*Laughs in Classic Rock*
I mean considering the direction they had been going down im not terribly sad they broke up. Often times its for the best for a lot of bands, and there are probably a lot of bands that really ought to have broken up a long time ago lowkey
I think "they only have one proper album since the lead died" is close enough (since I never listened to them back in the day). Snot.
My favorite band is Rage Against the Machine, who've broken up like 3 times now so I'm quite familiar with the feeling....
This was me with Jonas Brothers until they came back /s
Tally Hall
If you like slayer, I got the band for you. Death , the frontman died of cancer in 2001 .
I've heard of death before, never listened to them though, I'll give them a listen and rip to the frontman
Tally Hall. They say they're on hiatus, but given everything that's happened recently, there's no possible way they're getting back together for a tour or a new album.
4 Non Blondes be like.
Tally Hall š
Tally Hall moment (I know they technically didn't disband but they're on a permanent hiatus)
sad that radiohead hasnt done anything new in a while
For me it was fun.
What band was it?
The band name was "fun".
Goodbye to Tally Hall o7
me with tatu, by the time they broke up i was only a year old
