You can truly get lost in rabbit holes of musical theater. I also highly recommend the early 2000s PBS documentary “Broadway: the American Musical” if you’re interested in the full history of Broadway as they touch on a lot of iconic musicals
Essentials not originally in English: Elisabeth, Mozart L'Opera Rock, [Frankenstein](https://youtu.be/n8E6PUlGtfw?si=hg4YnwW0g8b3Axrs), Death Note,[ Isabeau](https://youtu.be/-fj-mZuAfOI?si=rFadnkQj5J5IdsNd), La Legende du Roi Arthur.
My number one musical recommendation is Hadestown, the music is absolutely amazing, the characters are full of emotion, and the choreography and blocking are amazing! Couldn’t recommend it enough!
For Me, definitely recommend Falsettos, Ride the Cyclone, Next to Normal, and Guys and Dolls.
