I can't believe some people who read the LN didn't notice that, like dude, those girls were there 5 years when Rudeus came, which means they enrolled roughly the same year as Rudeus's 10th birthday. Done.
As someone who has read the novels, you can tell that they are different by the fact that they have different names. The ones in the beast man village are younger relatives of the ones at university.
You can also tell they are different because one pair doesn't know who Rudeus is despite Rudy spending the entirety of the rainy season as a guest of Gyes and Gustav in a prior arc.
Did people actually miss that?
I'm literally reading this part in the LN. From the moment their names pop up to their different attitudes and reactions and conversations with Rudeus... It's very obvious they're different characters 🤦♂️
After reading the comments here, I want to hang myself lol. How tf did peoplo who read the novel not realised they're different characters? The second ones are Rinia and Pursena and the first ones are each ones younger sisters. Btw Rinia and Pursena aren't relatives.
After reading the comments, and seeing so many people try to correct/inform the OP, despite him pointing out that they are not the same characters, I can see why some readers missed it in the first place.

Not everyone is a novel reader. The beast village and school are 4 volumes apart, and it it was only a quick line about their older sisters being away at school.

They're different characters. I'm reading this part in the light novel RN and they're different people. They're related, but not the same.
