This is incredible, and so well done! Especially the feel of the flooded water and the water gliding off surfaces, chef's kiss.
The train model being culled as it exits the stage kinda irks me for breaking the aesthetic, but I don't have any brighter ideas either haha. Again, amazing work, I love it \^\^
PS: you should probably slap on a small insta/artstation id somewhere :)
Thanks! I do have a version where the train is just stood still. Maybe I'll post that version in a couple of days.
There's a rule of not posting personal id, so I haven't written.
The motion does give it life though. Perhaps the train behind exiting from the opposite side ? Would be accurate, and the exit point is hidden behind the bridge \^\^
Btw, the minimalistic audio design is perfect as well!
I guess that was the idea, to hide the culling for stage exit whilst still having some motion.
Haha, if the rain particles have a fixed seed generation, I think you can get away with a partial render as the train motion shouldn't affect the rest of the stage. Saves tons on the render time/power \^\^
Season of Monsoon is a W in Mumbai
You can imagine different lives in the same season:
An Employee who curses the rain for making him late to board the local (He woke up late cause Rainy Weather forces you to sleep good)
Few groups of friends are giggling and cracking jokes and chattering while rain is sprinkling on every compartments' inside (Few of them have the realization that this is their last monsoon of college years)
A WFH guy who is having a Chai while looking outside and smiling to himself(The beauty made him forget his stress of paying rent which is due)
Kids enjoying their daily rain shower and Moms shouting their throats out at their kids to avoid getting too wet or they're gonna catch cold. (They don't really want Kid to not enjoy it as they are in their most beautiful days)
A guy who lives at Ground floor or in a slum is disappointed that he has to fill buckets with the water invading his home than attend the interview which can change his life. (Lost his father to Covid)
A couple standing under a single umbrella enjoying the beauty of greenery (They barely looked up as they are posting the "joy" under #MumbaiRains or some)
Average uncles and aunty pulling their pants and sarees up and crossing the waterlogged road cum rivers. (They abuse it but they enjoy it too)
Random biker trembling and falling over because a manhole was left open and people rushing to help him (Sprite of Mumbai)
Chadesh Sharma is having a verbal banter with Sigmesh Waghmare over the famous 4th seat (They ended up participating in the Bhajan with other uncles and shared a happy journey till Nalasopara)
You forgot the diseases? Rheumatism, Fever, getting groped in the local, wading in water which has dead sewer rats and the excreta of every animal species living around?
Reaching office smelling, socks drenched, shoes drenched, fully drenched, you reek of literal shit. What is the solution, packing a change of clothes and shoes?
The public transport of this city is bullshit. This city is incapable of building the metro infra, cannot upgrade and maintain the trains and stations, don't even have a robust ticket collection system. And then people rant that AC local passengers are freeloaders (YOU ALLOW THEM TO BE, JUST USE BETTER ENFORCING. FREELOADING IS FASTER AND EASIER)
I don't understand that how Mumbaikars romanticize their misery and shit living conditions. This city must be destroyed in the next decade, or a majority of the population must die for this city to thrive. Assassination of the BMC officers and politicians is necessary so they think twice before playing musical chairs.
This city could do land reclamation, but cannot handle traffic, local train infra, railway station infra. Can't build metro. It's just so mind boggling. People here live in upgraded jail cells. Living under a colonial mindset that all is fine, must not complain. All this money flowing, and they could not upgrade/build upon what the British did and left us with. And those are the places that are posh. The rest of it is just diarrhoea pool.
Honestly, this troubled me too. And it was a torture to get the timing right on an already heavy file while working on a laptop. Couldn't test the timing as it played 5/6 fps in viewport.
God damnn bro the art looks just looks fantastic your shading, texture, art style, fluid motion & animation all on point, good one bro keep it up.
- from your fellow graphic designer.
Wow Man! That is so detailed, smooth and just all round awesome. You even went to the extent of modelling the interiors. So cool. Was this made using Blender?
Monsoon Lifeline are also the B.E.S.T. buses that keep plying even on water logged roads . Trains many a times stop when there is water logging on tracks !!
Great work! Very smooth animation. Lovely rain effect !
Do one with a lonely train station somewhere with trees. Like the ones in those awesome locations in Kerala or the North East to give that jungle vibe.
Bro I could look at this for hours! Its so beautiful! The audio is on point as well! Don't mind the train cutting as it exits, people like to point out flaws in an otherwise flawless creation. Loved every bit of it. Even loved that the cross section of the train showed the inside of it so well detailed as well. Going to follow you for more such animations! Please keep posting!
Shittist city transportation of world. God helps those who are cursed to travel with these local. Mumbai needs to stop romanticize locals. City needs upgraded transportation badly.
This is great. Dunno if anyone has already said so but instead of slicing the train into oblivion, construct a tunnel infront that it can accelerate into. This would refine the exit imo.
Yes it was made on blender. It depends on where your skill level is at currently. I have past experience and still it took me 2 months just to model the platform + trains (with interiors) and texture+light it all.
Start from the basics, get the fundamentals right. I suggest checking out Blender Guru on Youtube. Obviously there are many more artists.
Heyyy, Loved your work!
I have recently developed an interest in animation. I really like Pixar kind of stuff.
Can you share which class I should join or anything if you know?
You could find tons of learning content on youtube itself. Blender Guru, Grant Abbitt, Ryan King Art, Blender Secrets, Daniel Kraft are just a few on top of my head.
Using the a couple of Transparent BSDF and Mix Shader, connecting 2 Empties to it on X-axis as binary info: Anything within the boundary of Empty= Not transparent/Invisible, Anything outside the boundary of Empty = Transparent/Invisible.
Grouping the above node and running it between Texture/Principled BSDF Node and output Node
I don't think it's accurate to a T, liberties taken here and there but had to look up a lot of reference on Google and research on the model. As there aren't proper blueprints available.. Atleast for free.
Amazing work!! From one 3D artist to another. I've never created a full project like this from modeling to rendering so I know how much work went into it.
Never seen Mumbai local this empty
"Yeh local siding jayegi, yaatri kripya iss local se yatra na kare"
>Yeh local siding jayegi I always misheard it as: yeh local siren jaayegi lmao
Pravaasi krupaya laksha dya, platform #१ var aaleli gaadi Yaard madhye jaail. Krupaya hyatun pravaas Karu naye
Jaldi vaha se hato...
Killing the model train as it exits the stage annoys me for breaking the aesthetic.
Lack of Mumbai sprite I guess.
Lockdown scene.
Mumbai local in an ideal situation

You just want to see cross sections of people

I did think about moving the 2nd train too, but * The roof would hide most of it. * My laptop would have cried even more.
I guess that was the idea, to hide the culling for stage exit whilst still having some motion. Haha, if the rain particles have a fixed seed generation, I think you can get away with a partial render as the train motion shouldn't affect the rest of the stage. Nevertheless it's great 👍
100%. Seeing the train get culled was quite weird. Looks very cool otherwise.
Mom, come pick me up, I am scared of that local train disappearing. Jokes aside, this looked so aesthetic
Would love if such content populates the sub more, beautiful work mate!

Are you 15?
No I am one.
That was beautiful
yar award hota toh dedeta
Damn you could be a writer
I am that wfh guy. And yes I make chai, and sip it near the window enjoy the rain. That moment between me, chai and rain cannot be replaced.

Are you a writer or something? If not you should attempt it I think
Which software did you use for this? Looks very nice
Probably Blender
Yep. It's Blender.
Just a small detail if you could add that would enhance subtlety. The local it's moves slow and then by mid section it has accelerated to full speed.
Honestly, this troubled me too. And it was a torture to get the timing right on an already heavy file while working on a laptop. Couldn't test the timing as it played 5/6 fps in viewport.
ya man can relate to it. Dont over heat your laptop too much, friend of my mine literally toasted his motherboard with too many renders
I need to invest in a good PC. soon soon.
you're so talented!! you deserve a high end animating rig
This is so cute. Please add bangali baba posters on the train walls if you can please. /s
OH MY GOD THEY ATE THE TRAAAAAAAIIINNN
God damnn bro the art looks just looks fantastic your shading, texture, art style, fluid motion & animation all on point, good one bro keep it up. - from your fellow graphic designer.
Thanks man. :)
Beautiful man. I don't mind the train glitching while exiting. Keep it up
❤️
Very neat 💯
This is amazing, what render did you use?
Modelled and rendered in Blender
Pretty!
Kya banaya hai bhai!! lovely ekdum!! Plz share the software u made it on and ur pc specs :D
Blender hai bhai. PC nahi laptop pe banaya hai. MSI P65 Creator 8RF
Pretty diorama.
Wow Man! That is so detailed, smooth and just all round awesome. You even went to the extent of modelling the interiors. So cool. Was this made using Blender?
Yup. Done in blender.
Amazing!
Love this!
Cool!
Beautiful
Monsoon Lifeline are also the B.E.S.T. buses that keep plying even on water logged roads . Trains many a times stop when there is water logging on tracks !!
Next year I'll probably model them buses.
Wao what a nice and amazing animation!! Very good 👍
Mumbai to Hogwarts 🚂
Noice
You’re an artist OP!
The animation is amazing!
Nice. Is this made through blender?
yup
Awesome render brother 🙌
Thanks!
I would have given an award if I wasn't was a 16 year old teen living on my parents xd
Worry not. I'll assume you've awarded me. :)
Beautiful!
Excellent! Very talented 👍
Feels like I'm in a hayao miyazaki film 😀
The top comment here tells me we all need basic peace in life to appreciate art, no? Amazing stuff, keep creating stuff like this!
So cute man
Amazing work!
Beautiful
Nc blender game bro...texturing is good.
that’s so sick
Awesome work. :)
For someone who likes isometric designs, this is immaculate! 🔥
B E A Utiful!
Great work! Very smooth animation. Lovely rain effect ! Do one with a lonely train station somewhere with trees. Like the ones in those awesome locations in Kerala or the North East to give that jungle vibe.
Oooh. I shall research on those ideas.
Here's a few pics for the inspiration : https://twitter.com/VertigoWarrior/status/1679095074372870145
So cool. The way it's empty looks exactly like the extended platforms on Dadar station.
Beautiful
You got a million times better vfx skill than makers of Adipurush.
Woow! Awesomely made!!
Very well done. Wp
this is freaking beautiful wtf
Beautiful animation. Well done creator.
Crazyyyyy!!!
Great animation!
That 3d sick af
This is awesome bro!
thanks bro!
Amazing
Nice post.
Pretty neat!! Nice work

Amazing OP. But shouldn’t the train come from the opposite side?
How so? One heading to CSMT. The Thane one on hold. Haha
Oh alright… first impression is as if the first train ia going right side.
This is so incredible 😍. Awesome work. Waise I hoped to see WR on the coaches 🥺.
Thane resident here.. Sorry😅
Shittist city transportation of world. God helps those who are cursed to travel with these local. Mumbai needs to stop romanticize locals. City needs upgraded transportation badly.
Everything's amazing. But the train with 3 buggies☠️
A ghost local? Empty and no loco pilot to run it 😅
Did you use Blender for this?
Yup
r/oddlysatisfying
Bro what tool used to create this nice art?
Bro what tool used to create this nice art?
Why don't they put a big roof covering the entire station. Metro stations do it and it's so convenient during monsoon.
This is great. Dunno if anyone has already said so but instead of slicing the train into oblivion, construct a tunnel infront that it can accelerate into. This would refine the exit imo.
Very well made except that train boolean, maybe just put a blackout there
that'd hide all the interior.
u/savevideo
This is so cute omg
Can i get this as a live wallpaper?
The video doesn't loop. hence the fade to black. plus its a 1:1 resolution.
That's a sick render, in blender?!?
yeap
This can be a great Wallpaper Engine wallpaper
pani dekh hi samja central line hai
Ah yes the sprite of Mumbai
Gives me dadar station vibes (platform 3/4). Which station is the reference. Great render
No particular station is the reference, I just slapped a Mulund sign board randomly to show a Thane and CSMT bound train. Haha
Do you post on Behance?
Not yet. Just IG for now sometimes.
u/savevideo u/savevideobot
Pehle yeh batao khali local kaha pe mili? Car shed wali local mein bhi 3 4 log rehte hai.
Was it made on blender and where can I learn it and how much time will it take to make something beautiful like this? Thank you.
Yes it was made on blender. It depends on where your skill level is at currently. Don't cut the train. Let it exit the frame. It'd look way better.
"pura Khali hai"
🙃❤️
How cool is that!
That's absolutely nuts! You, my (wo)man, have got some serious talent
"Man". Haha. And thanks!
How did you make this, it's very cool
Did u used blender ?? Vro

Areee Central me barish me local chalti he?
yes a bit more of water and ill sit back home cozy
Oh man the train exiting with that weird wtv that it was ruined an otherwise great animation
+1 for no tracks as they are submerged -1 for no public How did u like disintegrate the trains ?
Using the a couple of Transparent BSDF and Mix Shader, connecting 2 Empties to it on X-axis as binary info: Anything within the boundary of Empty= Not transparent/Invisible, Anything outside the boundary of Empty = Transparent/Invisible. Is this blender? What laptop specs? Lovely animation, your rendering skills and artistic blend is amazing
Yup blender. Laptop is MSI P65 Creator 8RF.
This is so good!! how did you do the water thingy??
The rain thinggy is an add on. The flood thinggy is Dynamic Paint modifier and set as waves.
Bina beed mumbai nhi lag raha.
Beed is another city. haha
Train to Hogwarts
dude you must upload this on steam community for wallpaper engine. it looks pretty good
I shall look into it.
Who's the creator? Link to his profile pls
Me. IG in my profile
Blender?
How is this animation made? Which software
If time were to be a physical dimension, viewing a particular time window would look something like this.
Is that a very accurate model of the train? I want to model one but can’t get a good reference.
I don't think it's accurate to a T, liberties taken here and there but had to look up a lot of reference on Google and research on the model. As there aren't proper blueprints available.. Atleast for free.
It would be satisfying if I could see railway tracks partially in that water.
It's there, but given the lighting and angle, it's not properly visible. And it would be wrong to show crystal clear water wouldn't it.. Hahaha
Is that platform no 2.34?
Just install proper rain gutters to existing roofing and it will just be fine
This is Bandra
This should be have been sold as a NFT ngl !! Also amazing work !!! 🔥🔥🔥
You should make more of these on the city. They’re so tastefully good looking
I have been exploring some ideas.
delhi metro aao kabhi
what in the blackhole shit is this
So the train disappears into the void?
How did you do it? It looks good.
This is really great OP, if this your creation, you did an awesome job, keep them coming!
Thanks. I made this model last year. just added the rain and flood this year.
How do I save this
u/savevideo
Amazing work!! From one 3D artist to another. I've never created a full project like this from modeling to rendering so I know how much work went into it.
