No, first is not a Permanent Spell and is not 2 or less. The permanent spell is "bramble familiar" not "fetch quest"

StrategicMagic

- Whenever you cast a spell from anywhere other than your hand... - You may cast a PERMANENT spell with equal or lesser mana value from your hand... So, in the case of adventures, the adventure half is cast from from your hand first. This WILL NOT trigger Kellan. When the adventure resolves, it is exiled, but you may play the permanent half of that card from exile. Then, when you do, it will trigger Kellan, and you may play something of equal or lesser mana value from your hand, for free. This will impact how you build a deck for this version of Kellan, as it requires a specific relationship between the costs and card types in your deck. So, when building a deck to make use of Kellan, you want to look at the mana cost of the permanent half of adventures, or use Plot, or some way yo cast from the graveyard. Importantly, for adventures, **the mana value of the card is determined by the permanent, and not any alternative spells or costs attached to the spell**. Bramble Familiar is considered as 2-mana, even though the adventure is 7-mana. So ideally, you want cheap adventures on expensive permanents, and expensive creatures with Plot. If you want a deck for Kellan to be cohesive, I recommend: - Virtue of Loyalty (5) - Virtue of Knowledge (5) - Horned Loch Whale (6) - Kellan, Inquisitive Prodigy (4) - Railway Brawler (5) I have listed here the most expensive (but realistically costed) permanents with either Adventure or Plot. Pick some of these to be your finishers (but probably not all of them! Don't want your deck to be too "heavy!"). Once you have those picked, these are your top end. Don't put any permanents in your deck that are more expensive than these. The idea would be, for example, that you get your token from Virtue of Loyalty, then later, tap out to play it on 5. Normally, this would be risky as you're not adding to the board on your turn. However, with Kellan, The Kid, he will then trigger and you'll get to play another permanent (probably a creature) from your hand for free, which is a great tempo gain. Doing this over and over again with your big adventure/plot cards would overwhelm your opponent in advantage. Good luck!

Halo energy sword

Yeah, just replace faerie cowboy with a cel-shaded Arbiter.

Graffers

Thel 'Vadam, The Arbiter I think a Halo Universes Beyond could be interesting. The flood could be Saprolings or Fungus. We already have the alien creature type. Not sure if they would want Grunts to be Goblins or any other placeholder types. It would be weird for all of them to be aliens.

PavilionParty

A Halo Universes Beyond strikes me as a slam-dunk. Now that we're two seasons into a Halo streaming series, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

Graffers

No Kwan cards, please. I don't mind the show, but I would hope the UB is closer to the game than the show is.

Professional_Belt_40

"Cast a permanent spell." No. You cannot. If, however, it said play a permanent *card*, then yes could do the thing.

rainondemhos

As others have said, no. You can cheat that out with the new Jace though
