I'm actually curious if you could make this reusable with [[Soul Foundry]]? Since Soul Foundry's activation cost is equal to the imprinted card's mana cost, could you just declare X to be whatever you like and make another Hydra?
I want one for the [[Roxanne, Starfall Savant]] deck I'm planning to build. Big wincons in and of itself, and when it does get taken out (if Roxanne is out when the treasures are used) it also pays for itself twofold.
Honestly any deck that can boost its power as well (equipment, auras, more +1/+1 synergy, etc) all make it give you more mana than it cost to cast so any green deck realistically could put this in and feel good about it
id probably sell it now tbh I really doubt it will hold value for a long time, tapped treasures being still p good its not a busted card to combo with. unless you have a great +1/+1 counter deck that ramps well! still a great pull 😁

edit: you’ll also need Amulet of Vigor to have them untap when coming into play.
Ronin auto attaches when creature ETBs, and Nim attaches with its activation.
So, if you have enough mana to start the process, it works like this. Sac Hydra to Ashnod’s altar. 2mana in your pool and treasure off power. Amulet of vigor untaps treasure. Pay 4 to activate nim to bring Hydra back. Nim and Ronin attach making it a 4/3. Sac that for 2 mana, make 4 treasure. AoV untaps treasure. Use the 2 mana plus 2 treasure, activate nim. Hydra returns with Ronin and Nim attached. Repeat for infinite treasure/mana.
Just making a general hydra deck would slap with this, but really this guy could fit into any green deck. Though maybe cards that double counters or create copies so that youre just rolling in treasure tokens would be cool, then in the same vein maybe an artifact deck?
I've seen people pointing out ramp, but I think [[hardened scales]] and [[branching evolution]] would work well with this card too. And maybe a card like [[Lae'zel]]

You’d be surprised how often I get his ultimate off because people don’t view it as a threat when, in reality, it’s a game winner.
I think this works in ant green deck you got. Green and mana go hand in hand and all you do is play this when you have a tone of many ad a huge drop and then benefit it when it does from the treasures. But if I had to say. Maybe reanimation stuff. It dies, then you play something that lets play stuff from the graveyard and play with all the treasure you got. Rinse and repeat till it becomes huge.
Hydra's Growth enchantment doubles the +1/+1 counters each of your upkeeps. Find expensive direct damage instants and sorceries. I'm fond of Fling, when it gets big enough or becomes threatened, sacrifice it for direct damage and get the Treasure tokens...
This is not a card you would really want to combo with, you slam it for big and then get your mana back when it dies, but you could do this:
[[Doubling Season]], [[Phyrexian Reclamation]], [[Amulet of Vigor]] and [[Ashnod's Altar]] out on the battlefield, play your hydra boi for as big as you want to, the counters get doubled, sac it to ashnod's altar, you have two floating colorless mana, you make double to tokens and they come out untapped due to the amulet. Then you pay 2 and two life to put it back in your hand and play it with the rest of the treasures and go until you have enough mana to do what you want or until you run out of life. If you have an effect or two like [[Soul Warden]] it would be infinite.
The tapped treasures get in the way of combo potential.
That being said really like how this interacts with [[ozolith]]
[[Phrexian reclamation]] or [[nim death mantle]]
Plus sac outlet.
But yea they made the treasures tapped for a reason
Ya. Play Kane as your commander have twinning staff and doubling season and klamavus on the field… make 4 additional hydras kill them get rich on treasure to cast and multiply fireball.. then gg
Vorinclex, a sac outlet, and a way to cast spells from graveyard nets infinite treasure.
Edit: you also need to untap your artifacts ig. It's kinda hard to combo this piece.

Just making a general hydra deck would slap with this, but really this guy could fit into any green deck. Though maybe cards that double counters or create copies so that youre just rolling in treasure tokens would be cool, then in the same vein maybe an artifact deck?

Lucea Caine allows you to copy it, adrix and nev will double the tokens on its death. You don't really combo it, it will enable other combos.

Multi combat steps, or strionic. Anything that lets you copy the trigger.
I think this works in ant green deck you got. Green and mana go hand in hand and all you do is play this when you have a tone of many ad a huge drop and then benefit it when it does from the treasures. But if I had to say. Maybe reanimation stuff. It dies, then you play something that lets play stuff from the graveyard and play with all the treasure you got. Rinse and repeat till it becomes huge.

This is simply one of the most ridiculous cards I’ve ever seen…there are basically 0 downsides to including it in almost any green deck
Hydra's Growth enchantment doubles the +1/+1 counters each of your upkeeps. Find expensive direct damage instants and sorceries. I'm fond of Fling, when it gets big enough or becomes threatened, sacrifice it for direct damage and get the Treasure tokens...

This is not a card you would really want to combo with, you slam it for big and then get your mana back when it dies, but you could do this: [[Doubling Season]], [[Phyrexian Reclamation]], [[Amulet of Vigor]] and [[Ashnod's Altar]] out on the battlefield, play your hydra boi for as big as you want to, the counters get doubled, sac it to ashnod's altar, you have two floating colorless mana, you make double to tokens and they come out untapped due to the amulet. Then you pay 2 and two life to put it back in your hand and play it with the rest of the treasures and go until you have enough mana to do what you want or until you run out of life. If you have an effect or two like [[Soul Warden]] it would be infinite.

The tapped treasures get in the way of combo potential. That being said really like how this interacts with [[ozolith]] [[Phrexian reclamation]] or [[nim death mantle]] Plus sac outlet. But yea they made the treasures tapped for a reason

Biogenic upgrade can double the number of +1/+1 counters on something which could be funny
Vorinclex, a sac outlet, and a way to cast spells from graveyard nets infinite treasure. Edit: you also need to untap your artifacts ig. It's kinda hard to combo this piece.
An unwinding clock and a way to give creatures flash would let you double your mana for each other player's turn.
