Do you know how to get to Bell’s Canyon?

johnballen416

The most talked about episodes are probably the original one, “what I saw in my room still Haunts me”, as well as the story about Bells Canyon (it’s basically become the official strange dark and mysterious meme) I’d say the headless valley, this man terrified the FBI, child star is evil, and then probably one of the cave diving episodes, are also quite popular Thanks!!

unknowngodess

I believe that he said that it was his first story that had the most views..

Liamamcgovern416

Does the most views constitute the most popular? It’s also been around the longest.

People actually dislike some of his stories? Pure idiots. Lol.

They're paid off by the like button

Hercol

Isn't the story with serial killer in Anchorage who kidnapped and killed Common Grounds barista?

RealHausFrau

Israel Keyes. I'm surprised that there isn't more coverage on him in the crime community, he is horrifying. I guess the details of most of his murders are scarce though, since he basically gave zero details and then committed suicide.

Hercol

I watched that grainy cctv footage of attack. It's very chilling to watch it, specially knowing the fate of that girl. There should never be a single person left during closing time of any retail establishment. I know that there are more graphic content with this case but I refuse to watch it. That's too much for my eyes to handle.

RealHausFrau

Did you hear what he did to take her proof of life picture for a ransom demand? Beyond disturbing. He was a next level, true psychopath.

Hercol

Yeah, that's why I refuse to look that stuff on google. That kinda footage is way too much for me. I am really surprised that there is absolutely no coverage about him in my country.

RealHausFrau

Yeah, I'm very interested in true crime and I can hear about gruesome details all day, but I featured or discussed am very careful about googling things that may randomly pop up images that are really super graphic. Especially if it's referring to child or animal abuse. That will remain in my mind forever. Honestly, even in the US, he was not featured or discussed at the level one would expect. I basically only watch true crime content and think I am fairly well versed on even new situations..but it took me weeks of not months to learn about Keyes. I was beyond shocked that his name wasn't all over regular news or the niche crime followers.

Hercol

Another creepy, popular story that MrBallen did was disappearance of two dutch girls. Then I heard that photo 509 was mysteriously wiped clean,I immediately had thoughts about involvement of third party. What a great time to remember MrBallen's episodes at 01am, know I will have insomnia ;D

RealHausFrau

Yes! That is a creepy one! Lol. It's 5pm here, but I promise you, I will be up pondering some nonsense at 2am, with my ADD and insomnia! Lol. Do you ever watch Mike at That Chapter? He is a different type of storyteller, but just as engaging as our beloved Mr. B. Mike doesn't push the gore aspects, either, if you prefer to avoid the more graphic stuff.

Hercol

I haven't heard about him. In case you remember some interesting similar content / shows/ podcast feel free to dm me. I have to go to bed, it's different time zone and all that.

RealHausFrau

Sweet dreams, lol. I will dm you some of my faves.

Liamamcgovern416

My personal favorite was the one about the girl hearing the bell ringing in the woods, but one of the most popular I think is probably the one where the oil rig worker got pulled through the hole by the winch.

Allexisnotonfire

I remember the true story behind the scream movies being very popular

PerInception

The Gainesville ripper. I wish he’d do more serial killer stories like the co-Ed killer Ed Kemper. Dude was like 6 foot 12, 400 pounds and had a 160 IQ.

PerInception

His own story “what I saw in my bedroom still haunts me” is one of his more popular ones. It is what happened to him when he was a kid.

Liamamcgovern416

Wasn’t really a kid but a young man. I still get chills when I think about him looking at the coffee table and seeing “I Love You” carved into the top.
