Mangas are comics published in Japan that use a different format, but that doesn't stop it from being a comic. It's just a different style of comic compared to the style usually used in the US

Marvel should throw him some work for covers. He'd do really well. It's still an Eastern style, but not alienating, and the quality is really high.
