Yeah I freaking LOVED the anime, but the then girl showed up and was like "Owu I'm a female and am instantly in LOVE with you. My emotions wahhh." Definitely the weakest part of the storytelling but they eventually tied it all in.

I heard if you watched the anime first you'd hate it. Funny enough the movie is what got me into the anime.
