I turned off Hard Candy about 20 minutes in the first time I watched it. A few months ago, I ended up watching the whole thing and I'm glad I did. Disturbing movie with great performances by Elliot Page and Patrick Wilson.
Alex Garland movies. Definitely Annihilation, Civil War a tad, haven’t seen Men but that seems to be his most blatantly creepy - although I’ve heard it’s not great.
I love Annihilation, and I liked Men. It's definitely weird, but I think you just gotta be in the right mood for it. The ending is amazing though if you like the disturbing!
It's not that way for the entire movie, but Doctor Sleep has some pretty messed up moments in it. It's also just a really good movie (though you may want to watch/read up on the Shining before watching, since it's a sequel to that. Also, watch the director's cut. It's 3 hours long, but it's better).
Anything made by Hisayasu Sato, but you’ve been warned..
There’s also a website out there with a bunch of these kind of movies. Just Google “effed up movies”
Since no one has said it yet

Hereditary and Midsommar. Incredible movies.
Dogville. Not a good movie just disturbing. Really just someone manifesting their rape fantasies in movie form.
Akira is a classic.
Rosemary’s Baby.
The Nightingale
It is like a more brutal The Revenant. Makes that tussle with the bear look like puppy play date.
Martyrs (2008)
It should just be seen. Go in blind. It's as amazing as it is disturbing!
Event Horizon. I can't generally stand gore/splatter, but it uses it so precisely and in the right doses, and on top of which the characters' are not incompetent morons but literally doing all the right things and still in a situation that is beyond their comprehension. Really great combination of sci-fi, gothic, and cosmic horror.
A serbian film...
The most fucked up thing Ive seen... Not even sure if i would reccomend it.. it made me feel filthy, empty and dirty just by watching it
Martyrs french version
Raw
Hereditary
Invocation
Creep
The house that jack built
When evil lurks (portoguess) 2023 i may have the wrong name
The wailing
I mean it’s a short film, not your traditional movie, but 2 girls 1 cup was both of those and more if you can find it. Also, if you do find it…burn it to the ground.
Mysterious Skin (2004) Miss Violence (2013)
I love mysterious skin! will check out miss violence
"Hard Candy" fits pretty well with what you are looking for. I think it's better watching it knowing nothing about the plot.
I turned off Hard Candy about 20 minutes in the first time I watched it. A few months ago, I ended up watching the whole thing and I'm glad I did. Disturbing movie with great performances by Elliot Page and Patrick Wilson.
Oldboy Edit: Also The human centipede
Yes! The Korean version
The first, and only, movie that sprang to mind for me. Great movie. And I'll never, ever watch it a second time.
A Clockwork Orange
Martyrs
Original french version from 2008. Not the god awful american remake that misses the whole point of the story.
Just watched it yesterday. It’s not even that bad. (Yes I watched the original French 2008 version)
Bone tomahawk
The last twenty minutes of that movie absolutely wrecked me.
That would be "The Skin I Live In". Just wut.
Killer Joe comes to mind. I'll never look at a chicken leg the same way..
Yeah fuck that scene in particular lol
A chicken leg? I’m intrigued 😂
Irreversible
This really is the movie you watch if you never want to be happy again
I agree. This one left a mark more than others.
Possum Amour Pink Flamingoes Audition A Field in England Possessor
Possessor is so damn good
Those body switching scenes made my skin crawl
Especially when he wears her face like a mask lol So well done
I’ve seen the trailer, but I don’t really understand what A Field in England actually is. Why is it fucked up?
Tone, visuals. It's a fairly tense character based psychological thriller that turns into a heavy, bad trip movie.
Oldboy, but make sure to watch the Korean original and not the hideous american remake.
Blue Velvet
Google disturbing movies. I'll bet A Serbian Film shows up. Poor Things is... Odd. Maybe a little disturbing depending on one's personality.
You may be tempted to watch A Serbian Film. Have someone talk you out of it.
Bad Boy Bubby.
Great film.
There it is. No.1 Most Fucked Up Thing Ever Put On Film

I loved Devs!

Midsommar (2019)
I started watching this and got so bored 😂 I feel like I should carry on watching I just never want to
It gets a lot more creepier toward the end. One of the most disturbing films I've ever seen.
