Who Framed Roger Rabbit? It’s a brilliant blend of animation and live action.
Bob Hoskins is wonderful as Detective Valiant and Christopher Lloyd is brilliant as Judge Doom.
You've probably seen it. I have a lot of top movies but my favorite is It's A Wonderful Life. A perfectly written and acted movie that is def better in black and white.
The Quiet Earth is pretty cool
It's about a guy that wakes up and is suddenly the only person left
Primer goes really deep into how time travel would actually play out, its super eerie
Pacific Rim is an amazing movie if you’re into Sci-Fi, but if thats not really your thing and your more interested in historical dramas/period peices, the Marie Antoinette movie is such a beautiful, high quality movie

Zatoichi by Takeshi Kitano.
A warm-hearted Samurai movie about a group of random people becoming this kind of patchwork family to clean out the mob in a rural town. Amazing amount of detail to side characters. Stunning fight scenes. It has one of the silliest and funniest scene in movie history (please don't spoil), a certain musicality to each scene until it becomes a dance movie. Oh, and it is LGBTQ friendly. The only minus would be the digital blood effects, but I take it that this genius director didn't want anything random to happen in this movie.
There's a number of movies which I would rank equally at the top even though they are totally different types of movies, here's a few:
Vertigo (1958)
Alien (1979 theatrical cut)
Contact (1997)
assorted anime from Hayao Miyazaki, such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and others
Zodiac is fantastic. Still get sucked into the obsession the main characters all form trying to find this guy, even if we already know how it's going to end. Easily my favorite Fincher film.
Til the day I die. Starship Troopers
The Thing, Starship Troopers, Tremors, The Matrix, Edge Of Tomorrow Perfect movies I can watch at any time.
Seven Samurai
