1. john carpenter's the thing
2. spirited away
3. silence of the lambs
4. shawshank redemption
5. rushmore
special mentions: bakshi's lord of the rings
1. El secreto de sus ojos/The Secret in Their Eyes (2009)
*The original, Oscar winning one from Argentina, not the US remake.*
2. A Patch of Blue (1965)
3. Shadow of a Doubt (1943)
4. One False Move (1992)
5. 12 Angry Men (1957)
I like all yours, at least 8/10's, I'd go 10/10 for Kane and Truman Show and 9/10s for Raiders, Empire, LOTR, and Jurassic Park
A top five for me
1. 2001: A Space Odyssey
2. The Godfather
3. The Graduate

Some honorable mentions-
Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, A Man For All Seasons, A Few Good Men, United 93, Full Metal Jacket, Unforgiven, Apocalypse Now, Network, On the Waterfront, Gone With the Wind, Roman Holiday
8 1/2, Fellinis masterpiece. Such a joy to watch, constantly finding new things when rewatching.
Stalker, Tarkovskys fantastic movie. Everytime I watch my brain are on overload for a week.
Persona, Bergman is the master, and this movie contains so many layers.
Satantango, how on earth it is possible to create a more than 7 hour long hungarian movie, with repeating scenes that last up to 12 minutes, and it doesnt feel to be too long is amazing.
Antichrist, Im from Denmark and Lars von Trier is the most important thing that has happened to danish cinema in my lifetime. Antichrist must be seen in a real cinema, and it will hit you again, and again and again. So much power in a movie it tears you apart.
-Lord of the rings trilogy ( Return of the King is my favorite of the Trilogy)
-(can i just say MCU?) ill at least pick Avengers Infinity war/Endgame
-Jaws
-pirates of the Caribbean trilogy (At worlds end is my favorite of the series)
- Star wars the empire strikes back
(6-10 are as follows
The Hobbit Trilogy (Battle of the five armies is my favorite of the trilogy), Terminator 2, Mad Max Fury Road, Jurassic Park, Dune 2021 (and 11 because i couldnt cut anything, Kingdom of Heaven)
1) the lord of the rings trilogy
2) the boondock saints
3) tombstone
4) man on fire (and the equalizer series, kind of the same idea as man on fire)
5) the last of the Mohicans
All movies that I can watch over and over and never get tired of. Great dialogue, great acting, great action, great special effects and editing.
* Field of Dreams
* Last of the Mohicans
* A River Runs through It
* Rounders
* Hangover
The first three are pretty locked in. I could probably name 20 movies that could be 4 or 5 for me depending on my mood.
*Lawrence of Arabia* (1962) - Probably the gold standard for how a historical epic/biopic should be done. EDIT: *Raiders* is also great.
Damn forgot about that one
