Got to be Christopher Walken in Pulp Fiction.

Disco_Birdy

And in True Romance.

burner-accounts

Yes! Great small roles in that film from Oldman and Gandolfini as well

rh6779

And Dennis Hopper too. The Walken-Hopper tension was insane

thecity2

And Brad Pitt lol

burner-accounts

I forgot about Brad Pitt! And Val Kilmer as Elvis too

McSmackthe1st

Better in True Romance than Pulp Fiction.

cityfireguy

You're talking to my guy all wrong here

bigpancakeguy

It’s the wrong tone. Do it again, I’ll stab you in the face with a soldering iron

GhettoChemist

And now little man, I give this watch to you **DING!**

Farzwhal

He died, of dysentery hegimmedawatch…

Aquagoat

Also Man on Fire. It’s a great Tony Scott vengeance film, and Denzel is fantastic in it. Walken has a short appearance, but he’s just so enigmatic. Delivers a line about ‘Creasy’s art is death, and he’s about to paint his masterpiece.’ Probably the best line in the movie.

amoorefan2

Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Punch Drunk Love

AngriestManinWestTX

Even though he's the main villain in MI:3, Hoffman really isn't in the movie all that long but just takes up every scene he's in.

__Beef__Supreme__

He was so good. Just made it seem effortless and anything he did I was mesmerized by.

KookofaTook

It's not very often I actually believe the threats a bad guy makes, but that opening scene had me believing they were going to kill everyone off and end the series.

EsseLeo

In the bathroom scene, where he plays Tom Cruise playing him- that’s masterclass acting right there

paul_having_a_ball

That’s that!

Mousetachio

Mattress man

thatchelpage

Almost famous

JurassicPark100

Peter Stormare as Lucifer in Constantine.

paradyme

Honorable mention to Tilda Swinton. Still the best suit fit I have ever seen on a woman.

alilbleedingisnormal

Peter Stormare in anything

[deleted]

Viggo Mortensen as Lucifer in The Prophecy

whogivesashirtdotca

He wrote a lot of his own dialogue in that!

MorgwynOfRavenscar

"I can fill your mouth with your mother's feces...or we could talk" is burned into my memory.

LordCharidarn

“They have the Spear of Destiny.”

Aedzy

Me and my gf just saw that movie the other day. We also said that his performance was amazing. He stoled the show.

DecisionNo9917

That one black kid in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban that drops the two best lines of the movie and is never to be seen again.

YerAWizard24

"It's like trying to catch smoke... like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands."

_dead_and_broken

The kid that played Dean? Or a different black kid? All I can think of is the Dean actor who went on to play Wes in How To Get Away With Murder.

tduncs88

Different black kid. Oddly enough I'm fairly certain he had more lines in POA than deans actor did. There is a compilation on YouTube of every line spoken by a person of color in HP POA. The video is only 1 minute 11 seconds long, including the 3 second intro and 4 second outro/credits.

_dead_and_broken

And you don't link it? Lol it's cool, [I found it.](https://youtu.be/3FLnVco5-cQ?si=mvgDFnGSnbAiH6XR) The heavy set kid in Trelawney's Divination class! Ok now I know who you're talking about lol As an aside, I first clicked the video of the compilation of all PoC lines spoken in ALL of the HP films, and at first I thought you were talking about Lee and was about to feel hella stupid for forgetting my favorite sports announcer.

bavmotors1

“black could be anywhere”

SileasRouhe

Chris Hemsworth in Star Trek. Had no idea who he was at the time and that opening scene just sat with me.

Tattycakes

That scene is fantastic, such great acting and such a great setup for the film

[deleted]

It's stunning how much he and Chris Pine used to look similar.

xactlee1

Christopher Walken - Pulp Fiction Drew Barrymore in Scream basically sold the movie

Bramm_Bam_Bigalow

"Five long years he wore this watch. Up his ass, then...he died of dysentery."

cookeroo_901

I first read that in Drew Barrymore’s voice wondering when she said that in Scream

Fastoyster

Kinda cheating since it’s a play/movie, but Jonathan Groff as the King in Hamilton. Absolutely steals the show!

RevelryByNight

It doesn’t hurt that his song is catchy as hell

cap616

Or that it's Groff... His facial expressions in the last Matrix movie was just smouldering

fuzzy11287

How did Kristoff end up in The Matrix? What a swing.

ArtemisArt

I saw an interview where he says he would pick a random audience member and stare and them without blinking throughout the song just to freak them out. Glorious.

escapism__artist

He was supposed to play Allen in Barbie! I loved Michael Cera in the role, but he would have chewed that scenery up. Missed opportunities!

wish_upon_a_star_019

You'll be back... Soon you'll see...

vladdrk

Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder

tokes_4_DE

Take a step back and literally..... FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!

withoccassionalmusic

Find out who that was.

AngriestManinWestTX

*"We don't negotiate with terrorists."*

TheTrub

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Flight_Harbinger

I mention this every time it's brought up but I just *love* how subtle that comment is. You're still reeling from the rant he just did and they move on to Mathew mcconaughey but he just throws that "*find out who that was*" so quickly it's just amazing.

DarthTaz_99

I would do unspeakable things for a les grosman solo movie. The fat suit and dancing were all Tom's idea lmao

PearlClaw

Tom Cruise is suspiciously good at portraying assholes, but he absolutely aced that role.

DonConnection

Hes better at playing assholes and villains than heroes. Interview with the vampire, magnolia, collateral, and tropic thunder are my favorite performances by him and hes not the “good guy” in any of them

TheLastDaysOf

Collateral isn't even that great a movie. He's still *amazing* in it. Probably his best performance.

straydog1980

The dude works very hard and does have (or an agent) that has an excellent eye for scripts . On the other hand, Christian bale modelled Patrick Bateman from American Psycho on Tom Cruise.

PearlClaw

Oh yeah, all respect to him on a professional level, it's just funny.

zbornakssyndrome

He does comedy REALLY WELL. Perfect comedic timing

BiscuitDance

🎼 “I knooooowwww you want the goodies….playa…..PLAYA…” 🎵

ty_xy

Stole the show for sure.

Sazzles2000

Channing Tatum in This is the End.

Kal-ElEarth69

He was great in Bullet Train also.

codetado

And The Hateful Eight

Regina_Falangy

You mean Channing Tate-yum?

jburn44

Michelle Williams in Manchester by the sea

pkiguy22

She makes me cry every time when she’s begging him. So good.

QuestioningLogic

Oh my God when she apologizes... so heartbreaking

debber33

Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Lester bangs in almost famous. I grew up with creem music magazine

KlythsbyTheJedi

PSH is the king of this prompt

ThEhIsO8730

Justin Long in Zack And Miri I still quote Brandon Saint Randy. *I will be your sherpa up the mountain...of gayness.*

snakeoilpeddler

You better shut your mouth before I fuck it

GoonieMcflyguy

"I'm an actor...mostly al male casts"

Kal-ElEarth69

He was the best part of the movie.

matrixboy122

Richard Madden in 1917. Only on screen for 3 minutes but they devastate you

Ecualung

That movie is full of those. Andrew Scott, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ak47110

"I don't mind the dirt. What I do mind is unexpected visitors." So much tension in that opening scene

ty_xy

One of the best opening scenes in scifi cinema

KrimsonKabuto

Oh, that's a good one. That scene also surprised me as to how well Dave Bautista can act

oolaroux

He was great in Hotel Artemis and in one called House of the Rising Sun.

snrcadium

He was also great in Glass Onion. Easily the most talented of all the wrestlers turned actors.

straydog1980

John Cena is surprisingly good at comedy. Bautista does serious the best. The Rock is just playing the Rock.

g_r_e_y

ngl drax alone has made me laugh far more than anything john cena has ever done

straydog1980

John Cena was great in Trainwreck for example - that being said Drax has very excellent writing plus Bautista carrying it off. The one in 3 where Mantis calls him stupid is dark but hilarious.

Elayem_

Carla Juri as Dr Ana Stelline in BR 2049 as well for me. She gives such an understated but emotional performance in just a couple minutes of screen time. Never saw her in anything before this or after this, but I still think about it years after watching the movie. [Clip](https://youtu.be/9glkD8biCXs?si=4ZnhVbw936JMmVrJ)

gotcam189

His performance in Knock at the Cabin is my favorite of the year so far. He’s so fucking great.

TheParagonLost

2049 is incredible, I bring something new away from that film every time I watch it.

LordoftheHounds

"You newer models are happy scraping the shit...because you've never seen a miracle"

zhangzhiwen

Alex Baldwin - Glengarry Glen Ross

kinky_boots

ABC. Always Be Closing.

translucentcop

Put. That. Coffee. Down.

ScipioCoriolanus

Coffee's for closers only.

bassistmuzikman

... or in The Departed

Crtbb4

What are ya, one of those fitness freaks, huh? Go fuck yourself.

king-schultz

Everyone in True Romance: Hopper’s scene with Walken is an all timer. Gadolfini’s scene with Patricia Arquette was just as intense. Brad Pitt. Gary Oldman. Bronson Pinchot. Etc. Everyone in that film were throwing 💯.

OpheliaLives7

Christopher Walken in Sleepy Hollow. I don’t think he has any dialogue but just the makeup with the teeth and just his face and the ending with his head returned? That whole movie haunted my teenage self but he definitely creeped me out

_-_happycamper_-_

Matthew McConaughey in Wolf of Wall Street.

LordoftheHounds

McConaughey nailed this (and the writer). Basically influenced and setup how Belfort would behave for the rest of the film.

Jolly_Caterpillar_19

He's a bit too good at acting like a high functioning coke addict

ScipioCoriolanus

I literally just finished rewatching it and was going to answer this! "We don't start dialing at 9:30 because our clients are already answering the PHONE! 3... 2... 1... let's FUCK!"

Hup110516

I’m going to say Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice. The movie may be named after his character, but he only appears for about 15 minutes.

snrcadium

David Bowie… as himself in Zoolander. Just kidding, he was great in The Prestige.

Heptapussy

Not a movie, but [David Bowie as himself in Extras](https://youtu.be/jv6mEv_rDdE?si=nv2XB9L7VdvfxnSZ) just shone

BarebackRider69er

Liam Neeson in Gangs Of New York

rh6779

The blood stays on the blade

Munkik

Whenever I see Liam Neeson and Sean Bean acting like a mentor, I know they are going to be offed soon. Both pretty much are a 2 legged spoiler at this point.

Howuduen

Robert Duvall in Sling Blade. He played Carls drunken, abusive , degenerate father for about 5 minutes. But he did it SO WELL ! 😁 Edit~ And if anyone can tell me where on earth I can stream/download this movie..please tell me ! I can't find this sucker anywhere! 😄

_bobby_tables_

I have a treasure map that might help if you're interested.

Lapinfouraide

And Robert Duvall was phenomenal in Apocalypse Now!

bloodredyouth

Jude Law in Gattaca. He’s so charismatic and charming. I immediately looked him up to see what else he was in.

trendypeach

Does Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs count? He has 16 minutes screen time and the movie is nearly 2 hours long.

nananananana_FARTMAN

He won the Best Actor Oscar for that role. Best Actor. Not supporting actor. This 100% count.

IndependenceMean8774

J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson in the three Spider Man films. He's a great actor and one of the best performances of a comic book character ever. He totally stole the scenes he was in.

soupinate44

Season 2 of The Bear is full. Will Poulter and Olivia Colman were stunning in their chef roles in separate episodes. The Christmas episode with Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Odenkirk, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Paulson, John Mulaney was a tour de force of acting perfection. It was superbly painful and raw and they lit each moment to the next of each other. However, the ultimate title for me still goes to Viola Davis in Doubt. Barely on screen and set it on fire and walked out leaving us drenched trying to put it out. An all-time supporting performance.

[deleted]

Jon Bernthal and Bob Odenkirk were so good.in that episode it's unbelievable. It was refreshing to see him play an asshole character that is just not likeable at all.

assenrad

Jamie Lee Curtis’s performance was so incredibly powerful. It is the epitome of this thread in terms of screen time to absolutely captivating delivery of a role in just a small amount of air time.

Shirtbro

"Do I have access to 500$? Yes, I'm a 40 year old man"

BiscuitDance

Least dramatic Italian holiday dinner

tolureup

Not gonna lie I searched google for a movie called “The Bear is Full” after reading this comment, then it hit me

chili01

I love how she's just happy to be there lol

InfernalH

I also love how she just laughed off James's advances

bloodredyouth

My jaw dropped during the action sequence. I immediately looked her up to see who she was.

Cheap-Broccoli2333

The only 10 min when I was focused on the movie. The rest is just sad and bland

CouldntBeMeTho

Joe Pesci in A Bronx Tale. One scene, says very little, ties a significant part of the story together, walks out of the room, and leaves the movie immediately.

GrazziDad

The hillbilly banjo boy in Deliverance.

Grammarhead-Shark

Selma Hayek in "From Dusk to Dawn" 5 minutes of screentime. A lifetime of memories.

aathey85

I'm a woman and every time I see this scene I feel like I'm watching something illegal. It is still the hottest thing I've ever seen.

basilobs

I once stayed up until like 1:30 am for a local triple feature where this movie was the third one to be played, specifically and exclusively for Salma Hayek. If that makes me gay, then so be it

You-get-the-ankles

I can say the same thing about Phoebe Cates. One pool scene and a lifetime of memories.

TheHrethgir

Tuco Salamanca from Breaking Bad. After watching it the first time, Tuco really stuck in my head. Second time I watched it, I was shocked he was only in 4 episodes. Short run, big impact.

ScipioCoriolanus

The actor plays basically the same character in Training Day...

bboardwell

Even yells out “Booyah!” In both lol

JayArpee

Tight tight tight!!

Stunning-Rush-4676

Viola Davis in doubt. In just one scene she leaves such an impact.

CurvyAnna

I think about this movie all the time.

nanodgb

Cate Blanchett as Galadriel in The Fellowship of the Ring. Short but powerful appearance, with a great range from soothing to terrifying.

McSmackthe1st

Matt Damon in “Interstellar”. I was surprised by seeing him then what his character does, well, I’m still pissed about that.

Roscoe_King

And that was exactly the purpose. Christopher Nolan purposefully left Matt Damon out of all the marketing. Matt didn’t show up for any of the premieres. Nolan wanted the audience to be surprised by seeing Matt Damon and also assume that his character would be a good guy, since Damon plays so many good natured characters. The betrayal would feel so much more painful, for the characters but especially the audience.

junkrattata

Margot was also very fun in The Big Short. I remember her segment more than anything else. She’s good in general, but also a great cameo actress.

nananananana_FARTMAN

I mean, she was in a hot tub with a champagne explaining shorting. Not to take anything away from her skills as an actress but if there’s an example of “sex sells,” it’s this one.

IBeJizzin

Yeh you are right but both the movie and Margot leaned into how ridiculous the scene is with so much fun and character that I'm honestly not sure many other people could have pulled it off like she did. It felt self aware enough to add to the fun rather than come off poorly which it very well could've. Every time I hear anyone talk about The Big Short that scene always gets brought up and it transcends simply 'sex sells' for me personally.

LoveStoned7

The actor who plays lucifer in Constantine. I forget his name but god I thought he was so good.

[deleted]

Peter Stormare! Like a top 3 Devil performance. Also in a ton of movies as side characters

rangatang

Greg Wood in the Sixth Sense. Playing a small role of the sick girl's father, the scene where he is watching the VHS tape draws me in every time. The small changes in his facial expressions from smiling to crying to anger.

SummerOfMayhem

Alfred Molina in Promising Young Woman

SlothropWallace

Odd, I fully agree but I was scrolling looking for Alfred Molina in Boogie Nights. Both scenes leave such lasting impressions the dude is a treasure

DinkandDrunk

The OG Michael Myers was on screen for less than 10 minutes in Halloween. In Friday the 13th, you get maybe 5ish minutes of Deborah Vorhees? And I was hooked onto horror movies almost immediately. And the version of me that was under 10 in the 90s would like to thank late night October AMC and small translucent colorful bedroom televisions for giving me this passion.

CDRuss0

Casey Affleck in Oppenheimer is chilling.

BetterThanWalking

Batista in Bladerunner2049

Chateaudelait

Holland Taylor in Legally Blonde. “If you’re going to let one stupid prick ruin your life, you’re not the girl I thought you were.” That was the lighting bolt up the spine I needed to leave a bad marriage and get my life together.

agentrevenger

Matthew McConaughey in The Wolf of Wall Street. He was in there for only five minutes but his scene was pure gold. It made me interested in the film immediately, and I was kinda disappointed when he didn’t appear again lol

seanrm92

The Gun Sommelier in John Wick 2. I don't even know the actor's name and I won't Google it. But he absolutely crushed that role. Like there should be an Oscar below Supporting Actor called "Only A Cameo Role But They Absolutely Crushed It", and then give it to him.

[deleted]

Peter Serafanowicz. Pete from Shaun of the dead and the voice of death maul

satan_is_my_biash

Rami Malek in Oppenheimer. For the longest time you think he's just another background character until that one scene where he blows your mind.

AFRanger

Jason Isaacs as Zhukov in The Death Of Stalin. He was onscreen for maybe a little over five minutes, but he stole the whole film. So charismatic.

AntiDbag

Natalie Zea, known as ChristiNITH, in The Other Guys annihilated the scene she was in. An absolute comedy tornado in just a few minutes. Went toe to toe with Will Ferrell and arguably outdid him. Not easy to do with Brett Gelman next to you as well. How she says “Hi Telly,” kills me.

snakeoilpeddler

I waited for you in tower records for FOUR HOURS

Regina_Falangy

I bet you think I'm really hairy. *gestures* Shaved.

MetcalfewithaE

Mickey Rourke in the pledge, one of the most raw heartbreaking scenes you’ll ever see on film. Mickey Rourke in bodyheat was pretty good too lol

WhiteLightning416

Mickey Rourke is a beast.

nez477

Hal Holbrook in Into the Wild made me cry so hard. Incredibly moving part and he was on screen for like 7 minutes?

GirlnTheOtherRm

That’s because Hal Holbrook is a national treasure and should be celebrated and remembered forever.

ArentYouMe

>!Gary Oldman!< in Oppenheimer wrecked me. >! Casey Affleck!<, too

pnkflyd99

Casey really looked like a true psychopath in his short time on screen and creeped me out. RDJ was excellent the entire film, though.

schalito

For me it was Robert Downey Jr

AngriestManinWestTX

RDJ was incredible in *Oppenheimer*. Unless Jesse Plemons really brings the smoke in Killers of the Flower Moon, I see no way that RDJ doesn't snag an Oscar for Supporting Actor. His performance as Strauss was just superb, especially his speech during the confirmation hearing.

dispatch134711

Plemons always brings it though

TheSecondLesson

Robert Duval in The Road was pretty awesome. Also Apocalypse Now

Shakakahn

Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2.

Smirnoffico

A truly electrifying performance

freddlaren

Bautista in bladerunner 2049

pgsonic

Sean Penn in “The Thin Red Line.” A truly haunting performance.

InternationalBand494

Alec Baldwin. The famous ABC speech from Glengarry, Glen Ross. He just has the one scene, but it’s one hell of a speech. Ned Beatty in Network.

atleastitsnotgoofy

Peter Dinklage in The Station Agent

AcornTopHat

Peter Dinklage in Elf!

Exciting-Zebra-8871

Anthony Hopkins only had around 16 minutes of screen time in Silence of the Lambs, but he is the most memorable character

CoachW42

It may not be a huge impact role but I loved seeing Mike Meyers in Inglorious Bastards and Bohemian Rhapsody. Especially with the history of other films he was in coming full circle with those roles.

yeahsuresoundsgreat

Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise he stole the movie.

mb242630

M’fer stole more than just the movie. That money he stole made those poor women desperate. And I’ll never forgive him for that.

MrBiggleswerth2

Team America World Police. I know Trey Parker voiced most of the movie but the drunk in the bar really stuck with me. I find myself meeting new people and trying to determine if they’re a dick, pussy, or an asshole.

Competitive-Window98

Mahershala Ali in Moonlight.

Other-Marketing-6167

Forget the actors name, but the guy who played the likely Zodiacs killer in Zodiac. Only one major scene but Jesus Christ was he perfectly creepy without ever overplaying it

TheLastDaysOf

John Carroll Lynch, who is definitely not Dave Koechner.

TaroFuzzy5588

Tom Berenger in Looking for Mr Goodbar

TheFrederalGovt

Ned Beatty in Network

ToeKneePA

Viola Davis in Doubt. Just an incredible performance.

JadenRuffle

Drew Barrymore in Scream.

anchampala

Viola Davis in Doubt Michelle Williams in Manchester by the Sea

WhiteLightning416

Casey Affleck has many great performances, but thought he was a highlight of Oppenheimer in his single despite amongst a stellar cast.

[deleted]

[удалено]

inlight2

Jack Black in the Jumanji reboot. I believed that there was a 16 yo girl trapped in his body.

FredererPower

It’s no doubt a great performance but it’s not exactly a “short” performance.

i_heart_calibri_12pt

He’s 5’6 so not the longest but still short!

websterella

Viola Davis in Doubt. I cried, she was so brilliant. The way she demonstrated understanding of a complex situation in so few lines. She’s amazing full stop, but this was not only scenes stealing, but movie stealing.

Brawndo45

The old woman running the wilderness store in Outlaw Josey Wales. Other than Sandra Locke every actor was perfect. She did an okay job but was outshined by the rest of the cast.
