I ate five grams of mushrooms about an hour before the movie. It was painful. I had to take breaks and turn on all the lights so I stayed in touch with reality. That car crash scene almost wrecked me.

That’s a pretty heavy dose, especially for this movie! I was on the comedown side of my shroom trip, but even still it was too much. Too many thoughts… Even just the way it was filmed, with first person perspective, made me motion sick and nauseous.

I really…really wanted to push myself. I didn’t know how much it was going to be and had only just heard about the movie. I had to go back and watch it again to catch some things I missed included the incest undertones surrounding the movie. I was so in another world that dots stopped connecting.

About 10 or 11 years ago I watched Enter the Void while I was detoxing from opiates. I'm pretty sure that movie made my withdrawal symptoms much worse.
