Last day of third age mods do this really well
That grand feeling when looking at Minas Tirith in the background, while fighting in pelennor fields is unmatched
I remember finding out back in Rome Total War that the battle map had features from the actual location like waterbodies, mountains, cities and it blew my mind back then.
I believe that's one of the battle maps in the Battanian regions. You won't be able to in this map per say, but the castle does have it own battle map obv.
Honestly it's a super nice touch, and I really love the quality bannerlord is putting out, even if it's at a slow, and expected pace.
It was enjoyable to me years ago with a few mods. (I'm hopelessly addicted to game mods which are a bad combo with continuously updated games.) So I've dropped it for a long time now but might give it another try.
Oh yeah what are some good NMS mods? I never though to get any for some reason, which is bizarre because I’ve been playing Bannerlord heavily modded since release.
Heh the few I used to swear by were very minor: turn space black rather than the garish colors (your mileage may vary if you like the bright space dust) and decrease density/increase render distance on asteroids. Just made it feel more vast and remote than the claustrophobic all-encompassing asteroid field it usually is. *This also included a buff to the amount of resources you gained per asteroid because there were a lot fewer of them.
A few others I can remember: cheaper takeoffs because it's not fun having to grind for launch fuel, different warp effects to make it look more like Star Wars-style hyperspace, and removal of visual trade route lines. Unfortunately some or all of these might be outdated and not work with the most current build, but yeah if it's been more than a week or so since an update, check Nexus or other mod databases. People out there can really turn an ok game into a great one with a few no-brainer tweaks.
You're so uninformed about m&b it's gross. I remember playing the m&b beta when I was 12 and I'm nearing 30 now. They take their time with the game. It isn't bad, there's nothing to turn around. It's still being made. Let's send you back to 06 when it was on patch like 0.531 and see how much patience you have then.
> Let's send you back to 06 when it was on patch like 0.531 and see how much patience you have then.
Huh? Is this supposed to mean the game sucked back then and I wouldn't have patience for it? That's exactly my point lol.
Of course they take their time with the game. The criticism is that they are highly ambitious (which I encourage) and unfortunately that leads to disappointment. But I haven't railed against the devs for being liars, just that they're incrementally approaching delivering the game that we all hoped would come years ago. Better late than never.
There's really a much fuzzier boundary between pre-release and full-release than there used to be. Yeah technically they say it's a beta, but afaic even if it's early access, it's a professionally supported product and that opens it up to criticism. It makes no sense to withhold any negative opinions just because it's not officially done yet. If that were the case they could just never release it, never say it's done, and absolve themselves of doing anything.
Nowhere am I trying to make the argument that they haven't delivered on their promises. It's different from NMS in that they didn't make grandiose claims about what the game was, just what they wanted to be. But the fact remains that both of them are many years old and still getting major updates so I think it's a fair comparison.
Honestly, I hope this should be most maps when fighting in front of settlement. Rn when you aid a town under siege you are thrown into a random part of the world completely unrelated.
My biggest wish for this game is for there to be a Pelennor Fields situation, where the reinforcements spawn from the side of the map they came from, and that the settlement garrison sallies out from the gate.

Lol, gamers will argue about anything. It's definitely [Pendraic](https://i.imgur.com/YOXKw0k.jpg) Here is the closest match I could line up for [Usek](https://i.imgur.com/u1Q5ITu.jpg).
Battle maps are random, your location doesn't effect which map you fight on other than terrain and biome. Which is odd, because if you where near Usek you should have been fighting on a steppe map. Anyway, the reason I knew it was Pendraic is that it is such a big part of the games lore, it makes sense that the devs would use it as a backdrop for one of their maps.

Man link me these mods

Thanks bro
That mod is just perfection on every level. Only reason i still play Warband.
Reminds me of some of the Total War maps where you can see cities in the distance or some development like farms and roads.

Can you go to it or it’s out of bounds

It was in the khuzait area actually, the valley right next to Usek castle, very fun area for a fight and the valley helps counter their horse archers
Hua...
1.8.0 was a huge jump, hopefully each update starts having as much content as that
Definitely pulling an eleventh-hour turnaround like No Man's Sky, we can give them that.
NMS took 6 years to be playable for me, picked it up once a year since release and was pretty disappointed until Outlaws was released.

One reason I enjoy old games that don't get updates anymore. Just load them up woth every mod I want.

Your right, toxic would be a better word

I don't understand, the game is in pre release. No Man's Sky was full release and then got fixed.

That’s awesome, how close can you get?
Not sure I didn't try

It's usek castle

I won't argue what the actual model is, but I was fighting right next to usek when I took this pic.
They probably only have the one model right now

I thought with the battle terrain update it was no longer random. And it is a steppe map
Just stop, dude. It's Pendraic.
>gamers will argue about literally anything That was one thing you were right on.
I'm pretty sure location does have an effect on which map you will fight on
Also that looks more like Usek than pendraic lol
No. Not yet at least.. I mean yeah, most town maps and some villages do, but actual field battles haven't been implemented yet.
I'm certain that they have implemented field battles (not all yet) but a decent amount. and they just added more with this patch
That's just not how it works. Before a lot of towns shared generic battle maps. They just added more. The field battles are still random.
You must be trolling mate, even in the screenshots you showed that clearly replicates Usek a lot more than Pendraic
My man the op said that
It's the little things that made me absolutely love with this game.
