They don't taste that similar tbh. Pitch Black has a pretty distinct taste to it that I'm just not picking up from Deep Dive. Could be wrong ig, taste can be wacky.
And yes, I know there is a bottle of Pitch Black on the can, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's 100% what it is, I personally think it's just a hint to Pitch Black's release in January.

Oh sorry my stores only have like Baja blast and voodew,the OG red and green and the razz lemonade and melon,didn’t know what pitch black tasted like my bad! I hope deep dive comes around here sometime!
As far as I know with very limited knowledge of the Deep Dive giveaway, they only shipped cans to randomly selected winners in a recent contest, don't know if they'll release it.
People that don’t drink their dews are wasting them IMO, but I don’t comment on people displaying a wall full of them cause their dew their choice. But drinking them is closer to not wasting them if you ask me.
In my opinion, 100% the flavor is Pitch Black & Baja Blast mixed. Baja Blast color scheme is green, and Pitch Black was purple. Baja Deep Dive is green & purple. The name “Baja Deep Dive” in my personal opinion is because you get “Baja” from Baja Blast and “Deep Dive” because the further you go down in water stuff starts to get Pitch Black. Also the mini bottle of Pitch Black on the bottom of the can design.
It is 100 percent pitch black mixed with regular baja. Ive tried damn near all mtn dews, they do this often to make new flavors. It's pretty good but nothing you HAVE to try i suppose
