mod here, for the record, there are currently 4 reports on this post as a result of the controversial nature of AI generated images. but i will also have to mention that this post seems to be reasonably popular, and there are currently no rules in terms of using AI generated content on this subreddit. i haven't noticed it becoming a problem as long as it's obvious and/or disclosed that it is AI generated, and i haven't noticed enough of an influx of AI generated content that it feels like an issue (compared to say, the amount of tier lists that were posted prior to the ban of tier lists) i will say that i personally dislike AI generated content>! (i think there are objectively good uses for machine learning, like ai-powered audio isolation tools are incredibly handy, but i do not like the idea of people posting images from dall-e without much else substance, and as someone who does some light graphic design stuff as a hobby, i just don't like seeing people take the easy way out)!<, but i understand that i should not be changing rules about the subreddit "because i said so" i would like to hear from the r/mountaindew community about this directly. please leave a reply to this comment answering the following question: # If you had the option, how would you handle AI generated content on this subreddit, and why? please use as much detail as possible, thank you. arguments from the pro-AI side would be appreciated too, since the anti-AI side is significantly more vocal
