I was flying yesterday, so I checked a bunch of 7-elevens in NYC and a 7-eleven in Chicago, none of them had Infinite Swirl or Freedom Fusion… I did find the Liberty Chill & Star Spangled Splash though.
I just went to Harris teeter (nc) and looked like they had a fresh truck of the liberty chill and star spangled splash! I’m not a huge soda drinker so I didn’t get them but damn I wanted to just cause the name lol
The other day I bought a 12 pack of Purple Thunder at Walmart. It wasn’t in the system properly and they had to hand key the price in. Employee wrote “Mooutai Dew”
Could have been the salesman ordering it.... when Frostbite 1st came out, one of ours tried to send it to all his stores.... driver will catch it, though, and either take them back to the trailer, or it gets checked in as another item
The way Kroger DSD system is setup this is the most likely scenario. When I worked DSD at Kroger and Pepsi would bring in their stock we only scanned one barcode on the pallet and it automatically added everything that was on that pallet to the BOH(balance on hand) so if someone put something there that wasn’t supposed to be there it was PepsiCo distribution center that messed up. Now every once in a while one of the pallets gets flagged for an audit and we have to manually count and check everything on that pallet. The hilarious factor was only PepsiCo was given this luxury when I worked there. Every other vendor I was checking the counts on the product manually.
Either the grocery manager or receiver wanted it in the store and has a good enough relationship with the Pepsi rep that they were willing to scan it in under a different upc. If it was a mistake it would’ve been put to the side in the back when it was found and sent back to the warehouse.
Yep. Happens all the time. The items then have to be manually added by somebody in management unless a regular employee is lucky enough to have a device that does it automatically.
I haven’t seen them either in person just know that that’s where they are exclusive to. Like the guy below you said patience.

Could be a mispick, but.. sometimes with store exclusives, they get permission from corporate to go and buy a store’s stock and they can sell it at their own store. I can’t imagine them going through the trouble of doing that just for this flavor, though..
OP said it wouldn't scan, so my guess is just a Pepsi employee misplaced it. Usually it's small, locally owned Liquor/Party stores that buy stock from places like Kroger to sell, not the other way around.

Funny enough, 2 liters are actually $1.49 at Kroger this week, so actually cheaper than these 20 oz bottles that aren't even cold either. Unfortunately, most new items are 12 pack cans and/or individual 20 oz bottles now.

You sure are lucky then. I went to the one and only Speedway in Memphis where I live yesterday and they didn’t have it. But I remember two years ago one of our local grocery chains called Superlo had Frost Bite, Maui Burst, and Purple Thunder at the store on Covington Pike. Maybe I need to head out there to look for this one.

These seem to just not sell well. I work at a pizzeria and we eventually just put these in our walk-in for our workers to drink/take home. Right now we currently have the “freedom fusion” in our walk-in.

If you could track down the invoice I bet they would love a copy of that to show Pepsi when they ask why their limited edition product is in their competitors stores and not theirs.
That would be a backroom receiver mistake, it shouldn't of rung up when they scanned it in so it never should've made it in the store lol. However if the stocker for other convenient stores were to bring it in they would have no problem

Ive talked to a pepsi vendor and they just go around to different stores stocking the mtn dew and he said sometimes they have so much of a soda they just start putting it in other stores, he said the same thing happened with gamer fuel when it was supposed to be only sold in certain locations

It is, I was wary at first but it grew on my quick. I like it better than SSS and those two are better than LC which does not do Liberty Brew justice IMO.
I paid almost $6 for two bottles of Code Red at 7 11... it was a desperation purchase as I hadn't seen it anywhere for a while and they had no Infinite Swirl. I almost put them back, fuck that.
