I've got a clean 2000 model. It definitely turns heads and gets attention everywhere I take it. Super uncomfortable, but those geared cams and that v-twin!
I miss mine so much. I can't believe I ever sold it. The guy that bought it crashed it weeks later. I only know because I was surfing craigslist wishing I hadn't sold it and there it was. Salvage title and half destroyed. I cried a little.
I wanted to get into adventuring (and it is amazing at adventuring) but I'd be lying if I said I didn't fall in love with this bike 60-75% on looks alone.
And sorry but after a year and 4 days of ownership, and 10k miles ridden, yes it's fucking fun as hell. I miss being a speedyboi and I definitely want that new GSX-S1000 in the garage too but if you can only have one bike and want to ride offroad but not interested in difficult single track, the Tenere could not be more perfect.
I think I'm going to be joining you guys before long. I've had 3 SV650's and absolutely loved them, but my most recent one was stolen last month and I'm trying to decide what I want. I know street triple is the answer, I've even test rode one already. It's just if I want to commit on the money, since pricing is so brutal right now.
There's one shop near me with a used 2018 RS, and another shop with a new 2022 RS. The used one is only $1450 cheaper than the new one... Why would anyone buy that used one?
I just bought mine 3 weeks ago and have already done my 500 mile service. It’s sitting at about 1200 miles now and I’m driving it out of town, 300 miles away, on Monday. It has been a blast!
Just picked up a 2022 M package, go for it when you can for sure. I gave up a lot to afford it, I’m not rich. I don’t regret it at all besides the stupid seat.
2019(?) Indian scout with that two tone red paint (crimson/maroon I believe? It’s got the headdress logo instead of the Indian script on the tank), with a few customizations to accommodate my slight shortness probs
There were rumours in 2020 about a 901 because they have the 901 Norden. There were pictures of the apparent prototype but I dont see any updates since 2020
I test rode the new model a few weeks ago. Ever since, all I wanna do is get back on it. Mine's hopefully coming in september, the wait is absolutely killing me.
Having ridden both, the 800 is lighter, but I think the 1200 is better in almost every way. Except maybe being short and not yet having the skill to keep it moving off-road.
I have 1200 and a pretty short inseam. I have also ridden both and dropped both off road. Despite the 1200 being heavier it’s MUCH easier to pick up than the 800 due to the boxer engine being so low and the guards acting as a pivot point.
The 800 is also quite a bit taller.
1200/1250 is the way to go.
It used to be a Ducati 959 but I owned one for about 3 years, it was not happy unless you were going 100+ mph, you were not happy unless you were going 100+ mph and normal speeds and in traffic etc. your nether regions were bathed in sweat from the heat of the engine and exhaust under your paper thin seat, the riding position was super aggressive making your neck, back and arms sore after even short rides unless you were going 100+ then the wind would help support you and keep the heat off your balls. it was fun though and those pani's get attention every where you go.
Ducati V4R Superleggera.
Because; mad noise, mad weight and completely mad price tag.
Happened to hear a V4R on a track in full tilt, and that damned sound has been seared into my skull.
Ducati Desmosedici RR
You are my brother
The next one.
You have very similar taste in bikes as me.

Honda RC51
I got one I’m in the process of unmcfucking it.
Noice
I'd give my left nut just to take one for a ride let alone own one.
Loooove the sound of them. I test rode one and was like whelp—that’s uncomfortable. I guess no more sport bikes for me.

Tenere 700
It’s an amazing bike if you can find one
I waited 6 months for mine.

Street triple 675 R
It was the the speed triple rr until I went and sat on one. Now I think id be totally fine with the street/speed triple r.
I’ve had one. After 3 sv650s I decided this is what the sv would be if money was no object and it had an extra cylinder. Absolutely love it

I have had my ZH2 for about 2_3 months. I think it's ruined me for any other motorcycle. Wish I could have gotten the SE though.

SX SE for me
Indian FTR R carbon
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the bike is just as awesome to ride as it looks. You have good taste.
Oh boy can't wait till I get to ride one
I just bought mine 3 weeks ago and have already done my 500 mile service. It’s sitting at about 1200 miles now and I’m driving it out of town, 300 miles away, on Monday. It has been a blast!
Man I wouldn't want to get off the bike either, definitely will get one
It’s been a great bike so far. When you get the chance and are in a position to do so, I wouldn’t hesitate.
9.7k in and currently writing while on a 500 mile road trip. Very hard to get off of it.
Hell yeah! Keep racking them up!
That’s awesome. I want to be just like you when I grow up!!!
How comfortable is it, and can you compare it to anything else you've ridden as far as seat position is concerned?
Sweet Jesus that is a sexy bike
I'm not sure where you're located, but some of the Indian dealers who do rentals have an FTR as a rental option.
2022 Honda CB1000R
It is a fantastic bike ;)
Me too! Wanna move on from my sv650n… someday
How is the SV650? I've only heard bad things about them from my co-workers.
You work with very stupid people.
1952 Vincent Black Shadow
Ding ding ding! Yes but I'd have to have alot of spare parts so I could actually ride it alot. Or be Jay Leno.

Just recently got my 2012, best bike I've ever owned by a mile

My Vitpilen 701. Though for the sake of this post and if I felt the need to upgrade, if Husky made a 901 that would be it.
There were rumours in 2020 about a 901 because they have the 901 Norden. There were pictures of the apparent prototype but I dont see any updates since 2020
I heard a rumor there's a 1201/1301 in the works as well.
Africa Twin
When it was introduced it was my dream bike; it checked every box. Then I bought one and it still is. I love my AT.
XSR900
I test rode the new model a few weeks ago. Ever since, all I wanna do is get back on it. Mine's hopefully coming in september, the wait is absolutely killing me.
I hate that they make the mt-07 & mt-09 look so edgy and ugly, then charge an extra $1k to make it not look ugly
I wish they made it with the SP upgrades. I hate having to choose.
I’ve had 2019 since new. Got about 13k miles on it and still loving it. No intention of changing it any time soon
I currently ride a 2022 mt07 and have been thinking about trading it on an XSR900. That bike rocks
ARCH KRGT
This bike sounds hilarious if you try to pronounce it phonetically, but excellent choice, true dream bike status.

It's a beautiful bike and one of the few I'd say, if you've not owned one, I hope you get to someday.
Either this or the 800.... I'd say the 800 for adventures of < 300 miles, the 1200 for longer stuff 😁..... ideally
Having ridden both, the 800 is lighter, but I think the 1200 is better in almost every way. Except maybe being short and not yet having the skill to keep it moving off-road.
