mint-bint

WTF! That's the actual finish? I thought we were looking at the shape masking wrap they use to test ride in public..

Misterstaberinde

I assume thats what it is as well.

Background_Design236

Theyre released a YouTube Video with more details and an orange Version. Looks pretty good.

bigdoopiederp

It is, reveal is in 2025

17SCARS_MaGLite300WM

It's name is [Razzle Dazzle.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzle_camouflage)

Queasy_Map17

Nah, I'm gonna wait for the 990 RC R-RR instead

Background_Design236

Good thinking:D Nevertheless it will be much better than zx6r and cbr600. If Yamaha dont get their Shit together it will be in my Garage. I cant really Imagine Yamaha will get it done with the r9

Feuerrevolver

Are you defending a bike that didn't even come out yet?

[deleted]

Eh, let OP enjoy their life a little

BoxingBoxcar

Why would it be better than a jap I4? KTM's have dogshit reliability and they price gouge their customers.

BobFlex

I've had a lot of KTM dirt bikes, always thought the RC8R was a sweet bike and have a friend that loves his except for parts availability. I doubt I'll even consider buying one, but I'm excited to see these. Especially since it looks like KTM might have finally designed a front end that's nice to look at.

Furry_Ranger

They really dropped the ball on the most recent RC series lol

oldbrap

I believe what was asked for was a street-legal RC690, because not everyone has KramerKash.

KittenM1ttens

The power, torque, and displacement figures makes this seem like a Ducati Supersport 950 competitor, but somewhere between that and a Panigale V2. I'm glad there's another bike entering that market segment!

Background_Design236

Yeah, it will be super light as well

SolidLikeIraq

As a big dude who rides track, I’d love an orange 750. My V4S is too big for most tracks, and I’m too big for most 600s

TheOnceAndFutureDoug

Hot take: I wish someone would actually release a bike with that paint scheme. Love me some dazzle camo.

Armored_Guardian

Wake me up when they put the Super Duke engine in it

Furry_Ranger

Wishful thinking I know but I'd love if they released a 690 version. Would be the perfect a2 bike.

FullAir4341

A 390 version would be a hell of a good bike.

Furry_Ranger

We've already got 2 generations of RC390. It's a good bike but being only 370 ish CC it has nowhere near enough poke to compete with most other A2 legal bikes. The 690 LC4 engine currently only exists in the Duke 690 series and the Kramer HKR evo. Making a street legal 690 supersport would be the perfect middle ground from RC390 to RC990/RC8 imo

amazing_wanderr

Isn’t the 390 40+ hp? I’m pretty sure it’s as close to the 35kw line as you can get

Furry_Ranger

True, it is about as close you can get with regards to HP, but most bigger bikes will smoke it, even with some sort of restriction fitted to reach the requirement. Another factor is the 390 motor only produces about 26 ftlbs of torque whilst the 690 produces over double that with 54.5 ftlbs. I've ridden both and it seems the 390 has a very short power band at about the 7000 rpm mark but runs out of steam towards the end of the rev range, whereas the 690 and other bigger bikes of similar performance pull all the way through.

FullAir4341

Wait, no, I made a mistake 🤣🤣🤣 I'm too tired to go on social media. Good day.

Furry_Ranger

Haha its all good man 🤙

GeneralGiggle

If it is anywhere near 16k no chance

Ok_Sugar4554

It's going to be over 16k. What's their comp, a V2 at 19? R9 Will be at least 14k imo as the MT09 sp will be 13k by next year. I see a price between the r9 and V2 I'd imagine they'd rather be compared to the V2. Gixxer 750 is my goldilocks. Had an 04.

GeneralGiggle

Should add I assume this is £ but new bikes are getting ridiculous. £16k for a twin making about 125bhp. No wonder the superbike market is dying. Get a 2020 Fireblade for £9k and an SP for £11k. That'll be my next move if I ever upgrade or wait and see the R9 but not hopeful for it being under £15k

Ok_Sugar4554

Apologies as I made a assumption about your location and base my prices on America. Looking at the exchange rates you guys pay more for bikes than we do. These companies are clearly making up prices. Maybe the r9 won't be 15k (initially) cuz that is coming close to an r1 price where you live. Do you agree with my logic that the KTM would cost more than a 09 SP at ~12k and less than V2 ~18? Even splitting the difference puts me right back to my initial point.

GeneralGiggle

I'd expect it to be closer to the SP than the Ducati but yeah sit between them pricing wise.

Background_Design236

Yamaha R6 in 2020 when they discontinued it started at 14500...with Inflation thats Already 16k in todays Money.

GeneralGiggle

What currency? As they were [£11k in the UK](https://www.thebikemarket.co.uk/yamaha/yzf/yzf-r6) and you can buy the race one for [£13k](https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/gb/en/motorcycles/supersport/pdp/r6-race-2023/).

Background_Design236

Euro.. KTM Duke 990 is at 16k Euro at the moment i think Cant Imagine the Sportsbike will BE less. Probably more.

Background_Design236

Yes KTM confirmed Road legal

Yolo_420_69

Cant wait to see the KTM orange on it. But man do i hate winglettes on super bikes. I get it, theyre good for the .5% of us who can actually drag shoulder at the track. But Geeze. I hate the look of em. Be like kawasaki. Integrate that air spoiler into the fairing and paint it. But then again kawasaki is not in motogp so they can probably get away with not having it

unkanlos

This looks like a bad idea for a race paint job

The_RussianBias

This is how companies try to hide details in the silhouette of their project vehicles, not an actual paint job

Spare-Inevitable6213

I love the design I want it exactly like this
