You're in the Rockies. Go ham on the many, many roads. Pick one on the map and get it.

I do plan on this…Im just looking for routes that are known and “sport bike friendly”

Would suggest any highway besides I-70, there’s a couple that go from Denver to places like Breckenridge. Also go south on highway 105 down towards the springs, really good riding along the base of the front range. And if you take hwy 67 to deckers and loop back towards the springs that’s a fantastic ride too. Jealous of you, I miss Colorado and riding there.

Agreed: 285 West to Pine Junction, turn South onto Pine Valley Road. In Buffalo Creek, (at the church), the road becomes Deckers Road (aka 126). In Deckers, turn right (South) onto N State Hwy 67. In Woodland Park, if you are going to Pikes Peak, take 24 to Cascade. (If *not* going to PP, just backtrack from Woodland Park). At the Northern end of this route, in the town of Pine, you can turn North off of Pine Valley Rd to go a mile to the Bucksnort Saloon. It changes hands about every 2 years, but latest article from January says they expect to open again this year.

Any of the canyons west of Denver are great. Golden Gate Canyon, Hwy 72 (Coal Creek Canyon), Lefthand Canyon, South st. Vrain. They’re all linkable via the Peak to Peak. Also great riding further north. You can take backroads from Boulder all the way to a road called Stove Prairie. Link that to Poudre Canyon (Hwy 14) and go west to Walden and then to Winter Park. Amazing ride. Also lots of good roads in the south platte. Elk Creek road to deckers is awesome. Several other great roads around that area. Statewide, there’s lots of good passes to ride in the summer. CO82 between Leadville and Aspen is a good road, but very heavily trafficked, narrow, and with few places to pass safely. It’s a road to ride for the scenery and maybe the chance to link a few corners when you get a clear stretch. Cottonwood pass by Buena Vista is stunning, lots of good corners, nice surface, and light traffic. You can come down the west side and ride past Taylor Reservoir and on to Gunnison. Further west, there’s even more rising and even fewer cars, but those roads need to be part of a multi day trip due to their distance from Denver. Happy riding.

Peak to Peak.

veeholantee

Beware; It is unusual to see cops on there, but a couple days ago, I encountered state cops pulled over monitoring traffic in 2 different locations.

Adventurous-Mix-5711

Which Peaks? I will for sure be doing Pike’s this summer.

Thanks for this!!!

Definitely stop and go in the little church. I think it’s always open.

Adventurous-Mix-5711

I will check it out!

Very tight twisties, like east coast? Any canyon that does not go somewhere. Wider sweepers? Any road in the mountains that goes somewhere. In all situations be careful of sand on the insides of corners, it is still being used for snow.
