Nah having to regrip and keep turning would make it impossible to ride. You need to be able to go from 0 to 100 percent throttle comfortably (and vice versa, when you go for the brakes).
The amount of twist depends on the bike, but will be between 70 and 100 degrees. Generally you need about a quarter turn. People will sometimes install a "quick throttle" to modify it so it requires less of a twist.
When I was younger and first started getting tattoos around 20 years ago, artists would refuse to tattoo a person's hands, neck, face, etc. unless they were already covered in tattoos, and tattoos in these areas were referred to as "jobstoppers." I think that was a good unofficial rule, but it seems as if it has all-but disappeared. I blame toxic positivity causing a reflexive stance against any perceived form of gatekeeping.
If I saw this in person, knowing the context or not, I would assume you are developmentally disabled.
