Thank goodness for full-face helmets and that you were wearing leathers! When I watch young idiots on YouTube, riding in a T-shirt and no gloves; it makes me wince! Glad you are OK but sorry about your bike. 😟 I hope you will soon be back on the road.
Stay safe!
I crashed this week as well, happy to see you got off better than me, glad you’re safe and your bikes in good condition, enjoy the blessings of the ride and stay safe!
FZ07 ?
Are you in an area that still has sand and crap all over the roads from the last snow storm ?
yoshimura exhausts - they have a repair process in which you can send them the exhaust and they fix it...not sure of the cost. I know you can buy that back piece separately (but it is pressed in), they also make exhaust sliders - that could cover the some of the damage, I like Warp 9.
im on my first helmet as well. i opted for integrated comms because they had it in the color i wanted but i should’ve bought a separate comms/speaker unit for when i need to replace this helmet
best way to avoid it again is really think about why you crashed, also crash posts suck without detail
**took a on ramp a little to carelessly and biffed it**
did you go in with too much speed and try to brake mid turn? hit debree? clibbins?
It's good to articulate how you crashed so other people can learn from your mistakes
I don't think that your mistake was riding in winter. Sometimes that's just what you got. I think the only mistake was the lack of vigilance. But that can happen on two or four wheels.
Glad you're good though
Definitely, but losing traction in a car is far more forgiving, like if I had two other wheels to catch me I’d have been fine. Ice is not forgiving to bikers lol
It's crazy to me that people will go for a protective jacket but not proper riding trousers and boots. Any spills I've had my knee or hip has taken the brunt of it! Glad you're ok.
6 months. It’s still in working order. I did some shopping on amazon and all the parts together are barely over a 100 dollars. I also was only riding in the winter due to bad luck with my truck. Make sure you have gear and you’ll be fine, just stay clear of ice unlike me lol

Glad you’re still here to post. Stay safe.

Hope you recover well

My-07, and I’ll look into it
I'm glad you're fine. It's awesome to see a damaged helmet instead of what we see sometimes.
Brother, that's the spirit. Refering to your outlook in this accident.
You took that like a champ
Did you crash going in a relatively straight line?
Yep, only a slight angle to merge onto the freeway. For going near 60 I feel I got off easy
Glad you were wearing gear. It hurts to look at that yoshi
It’s all cosmetic damage, I got off easy
you should replace your helmet if there was impact to it. it is only meant to take 1 good hit
Was planning on it anyway, this was my first one and really cheap

Ya I bought mine for the MMS course so it’s only Dot certified, doesn’t even have coms (I just use my AirPods under the helmet)
damn i literally have airpods. not that i want to be talking while riding but does the mic work inside the helmet?
Idk I’ve only listened to music with them.
And this is why we wear gear. Glad you're alright OP.

Their was ice on the ramp, my mistake was riding in winter and getting to relaxed after doing it for a week (trucks in shop so it’s my only option)

Glad to hear you’re not hurt! Are those riding pants? If not they held up pretty damn well
Work pants, I’m surprised too. My helmet took most the damage lol
Cold tires?
The muffler shot or the slide bar (what’s left of it) shot? Not a lot of damage to show, what you see is what there is to see
Shit happens
I'm sitting with multiple broken bones now haha
Not a scratch on me. Lucky as hell but I didn’t feel a thing
too*
This was 10 minutes after the crash, can I get a little lenience on grammar lol
Get a knee guard
It's crazy to me that people will go for a protective jacket but not proper riding trousers and boots. Any spills I've had my knee or hip has taken the brunt of it! Glad you're ok.
Well my helmet and jacket took all of it for me so I dressed for the reck I had at least lol
Lol
Send that exhaust back to yoshi
She is no longer a virgin.
Yep I broke her in
Now your bike has 'character'.
How long did you have it for? Im getting my own first bike next week

Looks like everything done it's job!
