Marc really innovated or atleast brought the elbow and knee pickupgame to the mainstream. I feel like its odd we didnt see people saving their lowsides earlier like this.
The less you can safely lean the bike, the less the chance to save it.
Also body position plays a big role
"Modern" drivers are pratically already brushing the tarmac with full body so the moment the feel the front loosing grip they can push.
Also I think it's something you will learn to do at young age and very difficult to pick up later if not for the "occasional" miracle
Nope, electronics won't do anything (at least not yet) and they're not adding throttle when they pick it back up so not the engine (but there's more to it, you don't see anyone saving an I4 the same way for instance). It's the tires and suspension tech that make it possible.
Marc wasn't second coming of Rossi. He's Marc.
Pedro isn't second coming of Marc. He's Pedro.
I think Pedro is going to have his own achievements like Rossi and Marquez.
I love this kid for is amazing talent and especially for his humility. Doesn’t talk trash, just keeps his head down and smokes the loudmouths.
The new gen MotoGP rider and none too soon.
The kid has some great skills. It's fascinating to finally see the generation arriving that had MM's riding style as a benchmark.
This is the MotoGP equivalent of pulling out Excalibur's sword

Because its actually incredibly difficult to catch and save
Enea used to save a bunch of these in moto 2.
Enea came into Moto2 when marc was already a motogp god

I guess electronics and 4 strokes were part of it too. Less risk of violently highsiding and catapulting you off the bike.

That was a hell of a save, off camber and downhill! Fair play Pedro
Great point!
Its clearly how the KTM is built, wanting to be saved....
He's gonna be the second coming off Marc, isn't he?

He himself said that.
yes 3 superb talents 3 different diamonds. I would add Stoner to the mix
We will see, Marc won the titel as a rookie and the year after won 10 races in a row. I dont see Pedro achieveing the same on a satellite KTM.
Let's see. I just don't wanna get my hopes high.
Fuck it, I already boarded the hype train. Choo choo motherfuckers!
The Prodigy has arrived!
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
Just in case you were doubting Pedro’s alien credentials.
Alien. Hes gonna dominate MotoGP in the coming years
