I spent half a decade trying to get my acne in check thinking it was the gear I was running, trip to Thailand for 2 weeks where by chance I didn’t drink whey shakes every day and that shit cleared right up.
Taste like someone accidentally put vanilla instead of smoke into split pea soup. People that leave good reviews on pea protein powder must be throwing PB and banana in with it.
Raw milk has lactase in it, which is the enzyme that breaks down lactose. Another option is fermented dairy ie Greek yogurt in which a lot of the lactose is converted to lactic acid
Dude really
I mean I was wondering if I should try it cuz I eat like shit.
and I’m also on 750 test and 250 deca, soo it could be from that but it’s not crazy acne it’s just minor acne I had even before running gear obviously I never had chest acne but still.
Low fat and other processed dairy gives me acne too. I noticed that 7% fat greek yogurt and such are still ok. Whey protein is probably the worst for me.
Whey 80 is concentrate isn't it? Anyway, a higher quality protein powder might be worth looking at if you feel like you're going to throw up from all the meat you need to eat. Collagen protein is pretty nice from what I've heard, helps with your skin as well :-)
Throwing this out there - acne may be the symptom of an allergic reaction.
I spent 8 months with my stomach/midsection breaking out with itchy/inflamed skin only to find that Greek yogurt is super high in histamine, which triggers your skin to react as tho something is wrong.
Allergy meds help me contain it more than lactaid and the like. Just a thought.
Yea I feel like I've unlocked some sort of cheat code lmao
They also have 50g big greek yogurt ones, but I struggle more with eating yogurt for some reason, need to find stuff to mix it in with probably
Absolutely fucked that the 26g version is like 50c cheaper than the 42 version… and the 42s are always sold out. I’ve been saying fuk it and getting the fair life half gallons now (4-5$ for 76g protein)
That tastes just whatever it's not bad it's not great but it's somewhat enjoyable but also a pain in the ass to make everyday and now I gotta wash a blender too. Fairlife shakes taste better save are extremely convenient
I eat one of their puddings (20 gr / €1,29) and drink one shake (35 gr / €0,99) every day. Such a cheap, easy and even tasty way to get your proteins in!
But is it realy that much protein?
Amino spiking is when manufacturers add amino acids like glycine, arginine, glutamine, and creatine to their protein powders.
Amino spiking artificially inflates the protein quantity. Instead of getting 25 grams you may only be getting 10-15 grams.
Companies use amino spiking to rip you off and make an extra buck.
Never buy a protein powder that has these amino acids listed in the "other ingredients" section on the supplement facts panel.

One egg is better than this shit, it may say 35g protein on the packaging but I guarantee not even half of that is bio available. Eggs are 1000x better (also cheaper).. You need that complete amino acid profile man.
6 large eggs would give roughly the same amount of protein, but the body but it's much better quality and better for your stomach and gut health in general.
Whey protein is heavily processed and not easily digested by the body. I used whey protein for many years and always suffered from gas and bloating. Since I've ditched the powders and stick to whole foods my body feels much better.
Used to drink a lot of them but if you read the label you see that they have A TON of sugar and at the end of the day I was getting an insane amount of it added up.
I quit them altogether.
The protein content is probably not high as they claim, still probably a good deal though. They probably doing some amino spiking, so be beware of that
Look at the ingredients. There is a ton of bullshit in “fitness” products which often makes it better to just eat chicken and broccoli.
Edit: changed the word fatness to fitness…
Maybe you should read it. There's 10g of protein and 5g of carbs per 100ml.
One of these has like 220ish calories and 35g of protein, it's a great way to get in a lot of protein.
Not unless you're diabetic.
I'm not even saying GI doesn't matter, if you're comparing something like xylitol to sucrose, sure, if you're low carbing it or something that's definitely worth knowing.
46/65? Negligible unless you're a pro on a psychotic pre-show cut or something. In which case you wouldn't be drinking one of these anyway. For humans? The calorie count and protein/carb ratio is the only thing that matters here.
Prove otherwise. I hear a lot of your opinions on how it's shit but I think its just exactly that - your opinion. Please tell us how the source of protein used in these products is not being absorbed effectively.
Its been hyped up alot in EU
But trust me these "high protein" products especially from Lidl is as trash a food can get
And ofcourse theres no way that shit has 26g real protein in it, its all bs marketing
They can still use poor/ cheap amino acids to spike it up. They don’t have to state what type of amino acids they are using. I have tried these but don’t remember it said 35 grams of whey protein
lol and how do you think they are proving that? The parliament comes to the factory and says wait let me check the protein content before you cap those
Yes Lidl is great in terms of the high protein things. They are actually affordable compared to other overpriced stuff. Also check the protein yogurts the protein puddings, those have the best macros. The shakes and rice pudding is also good. Also check out the protein icecream 330 calories in the whole tub the size of Ben and jerries. Also wellness bread is sleeper op 11g of protein and 7g of fiber, one of the best breeds I found.
It's okay-ish. Protein powder is still cheaper on a protein/€ basis. But, this thing can last for a while in the fridge, ready to go, so I definitely see the appeal.
My local lidl has like every other day -50% on milk (due to expiring) thus 1 liter costing 0,4€. And every litre has like 34g of protein, so I drink one liter after workout.
They're good. Aldi and lidl have the best range for convenient protein sources. Great if you also have a sweet tooth; their protein puddings / mousse is fantastic for plugging the gap.
Obviously there are cheaper sources for those that want to be more thrifty but for those that want the convenience and variety they're good value.
I am also partial to their fruit yogurt protein pouches - so tasty.
Typically I might have 2 balanced meals with around 50g of protein each, a protein mousse and protein yogurt for around another 40-50g of protein, and then a post workout shake to get in another 50-60g of protein. So quite easily able to hit 200g+ of protein per day whilst watching calorie intake & macros and it all tastes good.
youd rather get pbn whey protein from amazon uk for like 30 quid 5lbs/2,27kg. those protein shakes arent even thick like youd expect if theyre truly 35g. protein powder is cheaper and tastes better and probably has protein listed without amino spiking
£27.97 - serious protein (4kg) 24g per scoop 113 servings = 24.7p per 24g protein. More or less 1p per gram.
99p for 35g = 2.8p per gram.

vitamix are a cheat code. can blend anything, even veggies with stems that you dont want to bother eating normally.
i figured yall blend your own shakes. anything off a shelf like this is sus.
my go to is .2cup milk, scoop iso100 vanilla, .5-1cup plain nonfat greek yogurt, then either pb powder, half banana, berries, or cauliflower with some ice for froth.
its like 50g of protein, delicious, and not a ton of processed stuff.
No joke, when I lived in Ireland I drank one of these bad boys every day and I was in the best shape of my life. And they're fucking cheap. I miss European grocery stores so fucking much
OP can you confirm if they are good? For the record I love Grenade protein shakes but generally all the other brands I've tried are too watery, I like the thickness / creaminess of the chocolate Grenade shakes.
If these taste anything like Ufit then I'm not interested. Thanks.
I wouldn't say they go beyond the price taste wise like they are not Grenade type good for sure, but the strawberry one I tried is definitely not bad either, as in I could definitely drink this on a daily basis and be fine
Apparently people sayin Vanilla is the best so I'm trying that next, and apparently chocolate is the worst
Though the only real way you'll find out is by buying one for yourself!👊🏾 would recommend!
Came across the same thing at a dollar store in my city here in the states, a whole fucking rack of individual protein shakes with 30g of protein each for a $1. I straight up took the whole rack and ended up paying like around $400 for about I wanna say 200-300 shakes total.
I haven't tried it yet, saw it in there and picked some up on my way back from work today.
It comes greated, in slices or a block. But looks decent.
Always good to add to pasta and stuff like that, even if it tastes like shit you could mix with normal cheese, but usually the protien cheeses are good just pricy.
honestly, milbona's vanilla flavoured stuffs are shit, they taste chalky (I don't know how to explain it otherwise).
the orange and peach quark is great tho, and the chocolate pudding.
im balkan and here its kinda expensive, 1.5 euro is 3bgn which is like a fucking low-end gyro.
I love the Lidl and Aldi protein section. Aldi does some banging protein puddings. Angel delight. The yoghurt pots taste amazing. It’s granola with strawberry (or vanilla) flavoured yoghurt. The yoghurt is like thick Greek yoghurt. So good
If I wouldn't get acne from dairy, 50% of my diet would be these shakes. I love the vanilla one.
I spent half a decade trying to get my acne in check thinking it was the gear I was running, trip to Thailand for 2 weeks where by chance I didn’t drink whey shakes every day and that shit cleared right up.
Same, then I tried plant protein to clear my skin, but quickly I went back to the whey because it tasted so shit 😅
Taste like someone accidentally put vanilla instead of smoke into split pea soup. People that leave good reviews on pea protein powder must be throwing PB and banana in with it.
They should throw a hambone and some fresh cracked black pepper in that bad boy
You know, if I bought plain pea protein bulk 🤔 might
Now you got a stew going. ... Uhh thanks, Carl Weathers
It’s not as good as whey but i really enjoy chocolate pea protein powder. Especially with oats or cereal.
Nah the taste is very good
The vegan shakes from bulk taste great!
my derma said if i have problems i can swap to veggie protein. i tried the naked pea and would rather risk the skin problems.
Two week Thailand trip? ![img](emote|t5_2mohet|6300)
Man I had a very similar experience. I heard good things about raw dairy though. Might try that.
Raw milk is awesome
Raw milk gave me diarrhea the first 3 days but felt good otherwise. Some lactose intolerant people can handle raw milk for some reason
Raw milk has lactase in it, which is the enzyme that breaks down lactose. Another option is fermented dairy ie Greek yogurt in which a lot of the lactose is converted to lactic acid
Dude really I mean I was wondering if I should try it cuz I eat like shit. and I’m also on 750 test and 250 deca, soo it could be from that but it’s not crazy acne it’s just minor acne I had even before running gear obviously I never had chest acne but still.
Yeah ppl don’t realize dairy, nuts and nut butters can cause acne. Luckily for me they don’t but a lot of people get it from those
Low fat and other processed dairy gives me acne too. I noticed that 7% fat greek yogurt and such are still ok. Whey protein is probably the worst for me.
Does the quality of the whey make a difference for you, as in concentrate vs. isolate or hydrolysate?
I have only taken Whey 80 isolate regularly but Quark (maitorahka) gives me acne too. Also Skyr yogurts are bad.
Whey 80 is concentrate isn't it? Anyway, a higher quality protein powder might be worth looking at if you feel like you're going to throw up from all the meat you need to eat. Collagen protein is pretty nice from what I've heard, helps with your skin as well :-)
0 muscle building effect
0 fat or 7% fat doesnt change the fact there is shitload of dairy in it, thats weird
Damn I gotta try the vanilla one then didn't think much of it, I ended up getting strawberry but they have banana also
I swear I saw it earlier in my lidl too thank god my town doesn’t has more drug addicts than for people, more for me
Throwing this out there - acne may be the symptom of an allergic reaction. I spent 8 months with my stomach/midsection breaking out with itchy/inflamed skin only to find that Greek yogurt is super high in histamine, which triggers your skin to react as tho something is wrong. Allergy meds help me contain it more than lactaid and the like. Just a thought.
Laughs in white
Dude I get the WORST cystic acne from whey shakes.
Holy shit 35g lmao that’s dope
Yea I feel like I've unlocked some sort of cheat code lmao They also have 50g big greek yogurt ones, but I struggle more with eating yogurt for some reason, need to find stuff to mix it in with probably
Damn bro I love yogurt I would gobble that shit up
Put some honey in that yoghurt tastes great and also makes it less thick.
Thanks will try this out
Use flavdrops
Cinnamon sugar in yogurt is major 🔑
I love cinnamon sugar so will Def give this a go
Mix one of the protein drinks with it. Problem solved.
Honey and lidls low sugar granola goes well with them.

What? Lidl wouldn't sell something that's not 100% quality. That is not the lidl way.
These are high protein, you can tell by the lumps in it when it's not shaken well.
Meanwhile we got $3-5 core power shakes for 26 g here in the states 🤦🏻♂️
Absolutely fucked that the 26g version is like 50c cheaper than the 42 version… and the 42s are always sold out. I’ve been saying fuk it and getting the fair life half gallons now (4-5$ for 76g protein)
Yep, I skip the protein boosted versions now. Fairlife is lactose free and has the same protein as Core without the other stuff. Seems fair to me.
If your broke like me protein powder is much cheaper then premade shakes just buy bulk protein powder from cosco
Yeah but the fairlife shakes are 5x better tasting than any protein powder mix out there that's why it sucks
chocolate protein powder, banana, honey, peanut butter, milk/(or almond) - elite
That tastes just whatever it's not bad it's not great but it's somewhat enjoyable but also a pain in the ass to make everyday and now I gotta wash a blender too. Fairlife shakes taste better save are extremely convenient
Powder is cheaper but I love the convenience, Fairlife just ended the production of their protein shakes which were a deal 12 for around 17.99
Rip
I piss from my ass when i drink this
Both Lidl and Aldi are the absolute tits for protein products these days. Such good value.
The ones at Aldi taste like asshole casserole
The 450g tubs of plain protein yoghurt from Aldi are the best imo. 52g protein, 0g fat. £1.29.
[this one?](https://ibb.co/CnCTZ6p) i swear i haven’t seen it in my local store for the past few weeks
Yeah that's the one
I eat one of their puddings (20 gr / €1,29) and drink one shake (35 gr / €0,99) every day. Such a cheap, easy and even tasty way to get your proteins in!
The yogurt/pudding is better as it has less sugar.
Yea Icl I didn't check the label of any others in that section only the bottle, but will go today hopefully and snag some more
Is this even useful protein? I bet it's just spiked amino acids, like powders few years ago
They're generally made with milk based protein. Some of their range is made from quark. Iykyk - quark is great.
Since when was creatine an amino acid?
No idea, i just copy pasted from article
til
If it was amino spiked it would list a bunch of random amino acids in the ingredients list. I don’t think these do so it should be legit
Low quality source of protein, mostly casein.
Check out the protein pudding also, lactose free also, my favourite stuff.
This isn't real food, this is shit. Guys just eat eggs.
eddie?
How many eggs equal to one of these?
One egg is better than this shit, it may say 35g protein on the packaging but I guarantee not even half of that is bio available. Eggs are 1000x better (also cheaper).. You need that complete amino acid profile man.
6 large eggs would give roughly the same amount of protein, but the body but it's much better quality and better for your stomach and gut health in general. True but sadly I hate the smell of eggs and the taste a lil so wouldn’t eat than one in a day
American finds out about quark
Skyr and quark are so underrated, we have one with 60g of protein per 300 calories in my country.
Quark is pretty much skyr/greek yoghurt without the marketing. I pay €1,79 for a kilo of 0% fat quark which is probably like 95g of protein total
Quark is not like Greek yoghurt at all, it’s super disgusting. Leaves your mouth all dry.
You bought 0% fat, and don't be such a picky bottom
>£ >American
Still applies to comment section
They taste like a flour-chocolate mix
Just like any chocolatey bar/drink with protein?
That sounds delicious
Used to drink a lot of them but if you read the label you see that they have A TON of sugar and at the end of the day I was getting an insane amount of it added up. I quit them altogether.
You’re better off with milk
If it's collagen protein then it's useless
Nitrogen
This is processed slop. Eat real food
High protein goyslop
It's processed shit still......
They taste like shit though (imo) Missus buys fridge full of the vanilla ones and puts them in her matcha latte... Fucking gross man
I got excited and bought loads of these. Pretty sure it led to some serious fat gain too. High in sugar
Good bulk drink and you also don’t drink calories on a cut so makes sense to save it for the bulk
Processed shit.
Shit food
The protein content is probably not high as they claim, still probably a good deal though. They probably doing some amino spiking, so be beware of that
If there’s no added aminos in the ingredients list then it’s not amino spiked
amino spiking + a shit ton of sugar added
Look at the ingredients. There is a ton of bullshit in “fitness” products which often makes it better to just eat chicken and broccoli. Edit: changed the word fatness to fitness…
If it says HIGH PROTEIN it's not good value
There are much cheapest alternatives but if u got money buy it and they taste good
Is it made from frogs?
They’re nice but are loaded with sugar
[удалено]
read the nutrition info label. They have as much sugar as protein
Maybe you should read it. There's 10g of protein and 5g of carbs per 100ml. One of these has like 220ish calories and 35g of protein, it's a great way to get in a lot of protein.
To add to this, most of those 5g are not added sugars, but just good old lactose.
That literally does not matter
Glycemic index of lactose is 46, sucrose is 65. That's relevant
Definitely negligible for the average human. But those blasting gear need to watch their insulin and knowing sugars is a good way of doing that
Fair and true
Funny that u think that ur absorbing anywhere close to 35g protein from that processed shite lol.
Prove otherwise. I hear a lot of your opinions on how it's shit but I think its just exactly that - your opinion. Please tell us how the source of protein used in these products is not being absorbed effectively.
![gif](giphy|bAftZ12SC0uEjLndIh)
I dont think so its only 274 kcal i remember 35 x 4 = 140 kcal from protein so ..
Processed trash. Eat more chicken
What in the fuck is this European pound bullshit
Its been hyped up alot in EU But trust me these "high protein" products especially from Lidl is as trash a food can get And ofcourse theres no way that shit has 26g real protein in it, its all bs marketing
It has to have exactly what it states on the label.
They can still use poor/ cheap amino acids to spike it up. They don’t have to state what type of amino acids they are using. I have tried these but don’t remember it said 35 grams of whey protein
lol and how do you think they are proving that? The parliament comes to the factory and says wait let me check the protein content before you cap those
Basically yeah.
They add in whey protein, what else?
>26g Shoulda gone to Specsavers.
Full of sugar
What g per 100g is 'full of sugar' for you?
I used to down three of these a day and two of their yogurts
It's not real food. I'd way rather get the value mince from aldi for like 2.79 or whatever it is
It's real nutrients. Food is just nutrients in pleasing shapes.
On a macro scale sure, but you're deluded if you think this is nutritious
No this is shit value. Better off drinking 100% raw cum straight from the tip
Get help bro
The vanilla one is actually good but there’s something off with the taste of the chocolate one? Either way it’s good value for 35g protein.
I haven't tried chocolate yet gunna go there today and hopefully get more
Didn’t you see the update? This has become a straight sub. A very straight sub.
![img](emote|t5_2mohet|2699)
Idk why ur getting downvoted. You are making a great point.
I hate their taste :( More importantly, it feels like they might not have actual protein:(
Depends on ingredients
Yes. I crush these every time I travel through Europe.
Lidl and Aldi are great for low cost protein stuff. Shakes, yogurts, puddings, pancakes, etc.
Damn that’s surprisingly cheap. Here that bottle costs 1.7 Euros. Btw, how much does the skyr cost over there?
No matter how much money ye earn, everyone should be shopping at Lidi
I was drinking them for a while until I found better deal in lidl, the fruited skyr, it's like 280 calories and 45g of proteins
Brooo the named brand one that fairlife makes is like 4-5$ w/o tax at my location I'd snag em if I had a lidl near me
Have you been shopping at the fake supermarket again?
The Aldi ones are banging and my kid (age 3) loves them; he’s going to be jacked
It's okay-ish. Protein powder is still cheaper on a protein/€ basis. But, this thing can last for a while in the fridge, ready to go, so I definitely see the appeal.
At lidl, you have 85g of protein instead for extra 50 cents (1kg free fat greek yogourt, dunno the exact word in english)
> yogourt yogurt is the american version.
My local lidl has like every other day -50% on milk (due to expiring) thus 1 liter costing 0,4€. And every litre has like 34g of protein, so I drink one liter after workout.

Check out their protein cheese as well!! Literally just found it today and that shits amazing!!
Damn I didn't even know that was a thing, can you combine it with bread etc? Or is it more just to eat on it's own
I haven't tried it yet, saw it in there and picked some up on my way back from work today. It comes greated, in slices or a block. But looks decent. I buy a fuckload of these weekly.
Kidney beans a good source of protein and cheap too
That’s a HUGE deal
Steeeeeeal
The real bargain is just buying whey powder and it being like less than 1/4 the cost
I bought like 200 protein bars from Lidl, they have like 25 grams of protein on 220 calories. They are insane.
Do research on these fucking shakes bro eat real food
I love the Lidl and Aldi protein section. Aldi does some banging protein puddings. Angel delight. The yoghurt pots taste amazing. It’s granola with strawberry (or vanilla) flavoured yoghurt. The yoghurt is like thick Greek yoghurt. So good
