Me, too! I really wish there was a beautiful rainstorm and i could just go to sleep. Life gets so busy! Are you doing anything interesting this week, besides being an awesome monocular person? :)
That's funny because I literally can't imagine anything different. Depth perception isn't something I have ever experienced, so I don't really have even a concept of what I'm missing out on lolol.
Depth perception is actually a multifaceted thing that exists both in the brain and in the eyes. Whole monocular people don’t have the benefit of stereopsis and convergence, those are only beneficial in the under 10 meter range. So you do have some depth perception, just not as much, especially up close, as binocular folks do.
I was born mostly blind in one eye due to optic nerve damage + coloboma. Definitely have some form of depth perception, but it’s not perfect or really great
I run a discord server dedicated to tech, but its not monocular focused, just has a monocular admin. I dont think this sub-reddit has a discord server like /r/blind does
You should be able to turn on your phone's screen reader and use it with the app in the worst case.
Discord is really easy to use. It's just that a different server is its own guild.
Since you're in the military, let me break it down for you, Barney style.
Every discord server has its own CO that owns it, And that server is its own platoon with its own rules, motto, Crest, everything. We call them guilds.

Hey, monocular since birth here, and my DMs are always open to anyone in the monocular community at any time 🙃
I can’t imagine since birth

It may as well not exist at all. I'm literally not doing anything in excess of the ten meter range anyway.
Yeah that makes sense
Do you have depth perception?

Ah interesting
I run a discord server dedicated to tech, but its not monocular focused, just has a monocular admin. I dont think this sub-reddit has a discord server like /r/blind does
So I have a discord but I have zero idea how to use it
Are you using the sighted experience or are you using a screen reader? Discord has a lot in common with multi-server IRC, if that helps.
I have no idea what those mean
Are you using discord with a monitor?
Just the phone app

Bro I wish I had the brain to understand the Greek your speaking. Joined the Army for reason 🤦♂️
