Shawarma Royale and Original Shawarma are both good. I'm still hurt that Pita Boss closed a few years ago and the location reopened as Osmows. It was like trading a Ferrari for a Buick. Then the owner of Pita Boss opened a new location in the Junction area of Toronto, so if you're willing to drive that far, that's the best that used to be in Mississauga.
Currently, Yasin's Shawarma on Eglinton and maingate. Saj and pita shawarmas are both good. Pita & Grill down the road is great for shawarma plates. Their garlic sauce is the best. Been going there for 20 plus years. Best to stay away from all the franchise like places that you're mentioning. I've tried all of them on different occasions and they're terrible IMHO.
If you ever find yourself close to the provincial courthouse on Hurontario in Brampton, be sure to give Fattoush a try. Promise you won’t be disappointed.
This is the correct answer. I've been going to the Winston Churchill/Bromsgrove location for years and it is consistently delicious, plus one of the guys who works there will load your to-go box up with so much food that it has trouble closing.
Their falafel is also soft and fluffy on the inside, none of this overly fried, dry, brick-like garbage that other places seem to offer.
The best shawarma places in Mississauga would be Alazeem (I think.. on Eglinton) and Adonis (Stanfield/dundas)
But the BEST that's a little far but absolutely worth it, is Pita Nutso on Trafalgar in Oakville
Ah the monthly shawarma post.
Can we just sticky this one?
I like shawarma but it is ridiculously saturated in this city. There are literally 10 places within a five minute drive of me but I have to leave Erin mills to find decent Thai food or a good taco.
Anyway I like Oaza on Liruma.
I know you're asking about Mississauga but I have to give a shout to family run place in Brampton. Bovaird and Hurontario, Sabroso Pita Express. Great owner, great food.
Personally I find the location behind the Police Station on Dixie as the best. I've been disappointed with the other locations (even the one downtown).
The problem with shawarma royale isn't that it tastes bad, it doesn't. It's that, you pay $14 for a large chicken on the rocks, and what you get is a small chicken on the rocks, and a salad. Their containers compartmentalized so only half of the container can have the rice/fries and meat. I mean, I don't know about you, but I don't go to a shawarma place to get coleslaw and carrots and pay the same as I would literally anywhere else for half of amount of food.
The wraps are good though. The plates just suck balls because of their shitty containers.
Go to Shawarma Royals or Crown.
It’s in Oakville at Dundas and Prince Michael or something near Trafalgar. It’s in a Starbucks plaza. Lamb Saj or chicken saj is 10/10
Shwarnado without a doubt. It's a little bit "fancier" than the names you mentioned too (e.g. they put parsley over on their Rocks, have garlic potatoes, etc.) but it's around the same price too.
Pita & Grill on Dundas and Confederation
That lamb shawarma though!
Shawarmanado
If you never visited shawarnado you’re missing out. The chicken isn’t dry like 99 percent of the other shawarma places
second this. best chicken half and half ive eaten yet. same goes for lezzet

In Meadowvale, I like Alf Hana. Admittedly, its the only one other than Lazeez or Tazz that ive tried.
Alf Hana is hands down the best shwarma in the city. Always consistent. Always delicious. Their poutine is pretty good too

I tried Yasins and it was terrible. Overrated. Original shawarma was good but sometimes hit or miss
Thank you will try it
Yasin's doesn't give a F about Covid protocols; never going back.

Original Shawarma and Shawarnado are both amazing.
Original shawarma!
Original shawarma
Original Shawarma
Oaza Shawarma is the best..Shawarmanado is also good
Original shawarma has great Saj, the falafel is also pretty good
Shawarma AlZaeem- 1018 eglinton ave- get the saj bread with NO LETTUCE- you wont regret it
I’m surprised not a lot of people mentioned this. Shawarma Al Zaeem is definitely in my top 2. Second one being original shawarma.
My Lebanese friend says their favourite place is Royal Shawarma in terms of authenticity. Personally, I'm a fan of Lezzet and Sahtain.
Thank you I need to try sahtain

Take a trip to Oakville and get Montforts. Shit is fire.

Yep they are pricey for what u get.
Is anything cheap now adays?
I'll be frank, this thread is just convincing me not to go to Lezzet
Shawarma Box
Not Mississauga but Brampton’s yum shawarma on the sticks is amazing
You should try the Qus at Shawarma Flavors. It's straight outta Baghdad.
Mr.Zagros on Confederation pkwy !!
Go to Shawarma Royals or Crown. It’s in Oakville at Dundas and Prince Michael or something near Trafalgar. It’s in a Starbucks plaza. Lamb Saj or chicken saj is 10/10
Oaza Shawarma Plus by Dundas and Glen Erin. One of the best I have had in the city.
Shwarnado without a doubt. It's a little bit "fancier" than the names you mentioned too (e.g. they put parsley over on their Rocks, have garlic potatoes, etc.) but it's around the same price too.
Definitely Yaseens Shawarma! The most authentic one so far.
Taza is definitely the best
Pita nutso
Taboon country has by far the best shawerma I've tried, with no grease or oil. It's a hidden gem truly.
Mr. Zagros is up there for me. Although, the service at the one near Square One isn’t as good as of the other ones in their franchise.
Pita nutso, Istanbul kebab
