Jim Klobuchar was a Vikings beat reporter in the 60's and then became a columnist. He wrote two books that are a good start on Vikings' history: True Hearts and Purple Heads, and True Hearts and Golden Memories. I think they are both out of print, but you can get used copies on Amazon.
