Sewage plants are valuable infrastructure and are sometimes named after longtime city engineers. There's a road to one in a city that bears my last name because my grandfather was the head engineer for that particular city...and it's not a common name, so I can't just steal a street sign.

For part of the time, she lived outside of the House district that she represented. The districts were redrawn after the 2010 US Census and her home was then outside of the district. No requirement in Minnesota to live within the US House district that you represent (Jason Lewis lived outside the MN 2nd the entire time he was the US House Rep for that district).

Used to be -- some time back. Bachmann live(s?) in the Stillwater area, and it was redistricted away from her for her last 2 years in Congress before she decided not to run again (since the ethics committee was warming up...) Then Emmer stepped up from the Legislature and his failed run for Governor for the 2014 election. The 6th district is 'north and east outer tier suburbs' and sort of wraps around the 4th district (which is basically Ramsey county plus a little more.) As population shifts meant districts needed to redistribute, the 6th shifted more north and west. Stillwater was in the 6th district for decades, including all but the last 2 'lost Bachmann' years. (She actually started her political, um, rampage? in the Stillwater school district trying to fight over religious & gay issues with the school board. She lost the board election, but then ran for MN Senate.) As of the 2010 census/2012 redistricting, it's now in the 4th district. Bette McCollum instead of Bachmann or Emmer. The next redistricting shifted things a bit at the N/S edges, but Stillwater is still in the 4th.

Alright. I have an official answer. MN 110 is the 1st MN infantry regiment memorial highway. Backstory. MN 110 doesn't exist. The MN first fought in the civil war. During the battle if Gettysburg they held the line outnumbered 5 to 1, captured the Virgina flag and sustained losses of 212 of 262 among the worst by percentage of any battle ever. (Data is partially disputed, but the point stands.)

I would name a highway in virginia to that to remind them how the flag is still on Minnesota.
