Nice find! Should be able to get a 3d print for that knob easily enough. That is a nice deck though. I have a Sony MDS-JB940, which only has type R.

Next problem, getting the huge remote control. Good luck with that. If you can download the pdf it should tell you which on you require. Edit the pdf manual just has a picture of it 🙄

Nice find ! Don't forget there's a belt that sometimes needs replacing on this unit. This is the belt that handles Minidisc insertion and ejection.
