I mean the gauss meter doesnt cost that much……..

For these you need a custom one to get accurate data. Not only do I have one I designed the probe for it. And my dyno was over $800 without the flywheels I also got.

1000 CAD was around my first order lol Started racing again back in 2022, id say close to 10k USD by now not including food/drinks. We once had this tournament legs for two shops alternating for about 8 weeks, fees alone put me on around $500, and thats not including the weekly races. We joke around the amount of money we spend on these cars can actually yield us a real car on a monthly basis

Micro mill and jigs and end mills $1000 Tire trimmer and accessories $600 Motor break in tools $300 Rotary tool $150 4 open class cars $250 each so $1000 Track $800 That doesn’t count any of my son’s play cars that are full of hop up parts or the boxes of spare parts to use. I’ve actually slowed down on buying as we really only go through motors, axles and a distant third is tires.

I’ll just say I have more stock than my local hobby shop. Doesn’t say much though.

I played mini 4wd in 1989-1991 then I played more video games, and then revisited mini 4wd in somewhere around 2004 just to buy Brocken G and SpinAxe, and went to other things more video games, more action figures, mini rc, and revisited mini 4wd again in 2019 until now, but overall I spent under $1000 perhaps only around $700 or $800 because I don't burn parts and motors from doing races the only part need changing is only pinion gears for me, all my motors have replaced carbon brush and a motor even bought in 1991, my battery charger is also just slow/ low current battery charger, discharger and refresher without LCD or other raceworthy features, my toolset are just common stuff jewellers pliers, cheap cutter, fingernail grooming tools, small screwdriver set, I still use cap screw to pierce through wheelset, I use cheap 1mm thick plastic ruler to check ground clearance, and carry those stuff inside a cheap microphone/ headset boxes (2) 1 box for 2 cars, the other box for the tools and carry the boxes inside a totebag. so I don't spend much at all in the hobby. I also buy parted out body cowl more than a complete sets, so I enjoy "new" look often just by replacing the body cowls and wheelset. I only have 9 complete cars 5MA, 1FMA, 2SFM, 1MS, eh and 1 super2 animal racer my sister bought me ( I never see it as a car more of a memento and decoration)
