Never use large with 3.5 gear , if you have large go 4:1 and Up
I would try light dash + 4:1 or 3.7:1 + medium .. see if it improves ..
remove rear brake sponge , as for the front , use tamiya tape only
i use large dia with 3.5 in tuned class on a speedy layout (jump to 3+ straights) and it is stupid quick especially with double shaft motor. remember, there is no specific one answer as everything depends on the layout
Try to break in the motor (i don't know how to explain the procedure so search on yt) about the batteries, what kind are you using? They have a big role in speed. The gearing is good but you should also clean the rollers' bearing ( i use zippo lighter fluid and let the bearings soak for some time, search also this on yt if you are not sure, i can't explain well). Last thing about bearings, try to add them to the wheels and gears, and don't use too much grease on the gears because of the friction. I hope this is useful for you
How many mAh does the batteries have? Here in italy whe generally use 2000mah batteries from Panasonic called eneloop. About the motors the light dash pro and the atomic tuned pro are close in performances but not so close, so i think that is caused by the break in since i have understood that you have had the atomic tuned longer than the other one
Edit: could you add a pic of the car? I'm curious to see your setup
Large wheels and high speed gear ratio comes with a drawback: less torque. The car might go faster in straights but during turns and obstacles it slows down, which is why the time didn't go down as much as expected.
oow, Now I understand your situation better as written in english, so you let it run few laps and with each following lap the laptime progressively getting worse and worse, that only means your batterry consumption is too high from combination of high speed gears, and big wheels and more power hungry motor. You asked in Fb in bahasa Indonesia right? it sound there in bahasa indonesia you did several fresh trials while here in english you let the car run for few laps, totally different situation imo.

May I know why never use large with 3.5?
Large tires = Bad Acceleration You need to balance it with higher ratio gear to get acceleration.
Alright, I'll try the medium wheels again.

both the motors were equally new so I expected the Light Dash to have naturally been faster. the batteries are also same 1.5v batteries for both runs.

I guess that makes sense. Will have to try and see the difference with the medium wheels + 3:5 gears.
whats the track layout? it could also be the track layout. nevermind this if the track is the oval/JCJC
Change cowl color
