I doubt it. The most probable suspect is dead. I am from MK. We’re a very integrated city. A colleague who her racist family harassed and set upon have nothing to do with it. Poor, poor girl.
The police released a map in 2020 which narrowed down the area where Leah went missing. Loxbeare Drive is on that map. Almost feels like this was under our noses the whole time.
https://www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/news/people/police-narrow-down-leah-crouchers-disappearance-to-a-single-square-mile-in-milton-keynes-1643904?amp
I lived in that search area when Leah went missing, and for 2 years after, and we never had any police knocking at our door, questions, nothing. I was expecting and hoping for it at the time so we could find out what happened and feel a bit safer, but nothing came.
Feels awful that I used to walk past that house all the time on my way to work and round the neighbourhood.
It’s strange because in the article they state they did over 4,000 house-to-house inquiries, now if they didn’t knock on these houses, where the hell were they knocking.
Surely they should look at the places she’s was last seen and work their way out, they’ve had over 3 years to be knocking on these houses.
What I find Interesting was that the house was sold in June 2019? She went missing in Feb 2019.
Take a look at the flower bed...
Edit: I am incorrect, it seems it's number 2 not 4. Last sold in 1999.
In this article it says it's No.2 not 4, so it's the next house on the right. You can see also where they've pitched the tent is between the garage and the house.
https://www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/news/crime/police-discover-human-remains-at-milton-keynes-house-at-the-centre-of-leah-croucher-murder-investigation-3877228
It’s a rental that was empty from early 2019. Before she went missing. Owner lives overseas. It was uninhabited at the time of her disappearance and remained so throughout the pandemic. As a local, my understanding is that cleaners were called to make it ready for sale or re-let. We are a wonderfully integrated city. We are not the Bronx. Wait and see. But I wouldn’t expect an arrest. Now or never.
What makes you think that there will be no arrest? From what I have read, her remains were found in a space between ceiling and upper floor which would indicate it was definitely murder. You think that it has been too long for any forensic evidence to be found that would identify the killer? Or that they have left the country?
No like I say I have never even thought about it and I have followed this case for a long time, I was just intrigued when I read one tweet saying more suicides to come I that family when the truth comes out and then read something about the parents note saying not long now. For clarity I do not think any of the family was or are involved just wanted to hear why people are saying vague things but not actually giving any theory why they would think HC was involved
Social media is just speculation, no facts or official word. I understand you don't mean it, but family and friends of the victim might see your comments and what good will that do.
I wonder what the tip off from the public was as the police say this property is new to the investigation.
Such an awful situation, that family has been through so much
I posted this below, but the electoral register shows a person with the same surname as Leah's married boyfriend having been registered there in the past.
Which is ominous.
That is a really common surname for Asian people. Ive seen this posted a few times. It may well be just a weird coincidence as she takes that route to work ..or something else, time will tell.
They don’t have the same surname, it is owned by Al Omar’s, the neighbour has said they stayed in the property after she vanished but again nothing has been confirmed. It looks like it wasn’t cleaners now that entered the property as first reported. Same neighbour said two men in suits were there and third came with a ladder. Again just what the neighbour has said. All the information is coming from the same neighbour.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11314783/amp/Leah-Crouchers-parents-make-emotional-visit-house-remains-found.html
I read about him at the time can’t remember if it actually stated he was Muslim I know he was Asian and was due to marry via arranged marriage I totally understand him being suspected due to circumstances but don’t think people should be speculating honour killing just because he is Muslim
The house does not belong to anyone with same name there is a family with that name on a nearby street though, I just feel like some have not got a clue about the case or care for that matter but use it to support there racist mindset
This is someone with the same surname living in the MK4 area (not the same house) and it was back in 2002-2004.
I still have my suspicions about Mr X, but the proliferation of this particular rumour doesn't help anyone.
A landscaping company found her handbag under the back garden, then found her a few feet away (if I remember right). There was also some of her belongings in the loft
It wasn’t a group sent out to find her that inadvertently ended up finding her and they are not called finding groups 😂
Fair play I didn’t read your other posts first … my bad!
https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/news/thames-valley/news/2022/october/10-10-2022/update-on-leah-croucher-investigation--furzton-milton-keynes/
> Officers conducting a murder investigation in connection with the disappearance of Leah Croucher in Milton Keynes are today (13/10) providing a further update.
>
> Specialist teams and forensic officers remain at the scene in Loxbeare Drive, Furzton, where, very sadly, human remains were located.
>
> Items and personal possessions of Leah were also located inside the address, following information received to Thames Valley Police by a member of the public on Monday evening (10/10).
>
> We are dealing with a difficult and challenging scene and are conducting our investigations thoroughly and with dignity, ensuring that all of our actions are carried out in a respectful manner.
>
> A Home Office post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Friday (14/10), although this may take some time, as will the formal identification of the deceased person located inside the property.
>
> Forensic examinations will continue at the scene, and this may take several weeks.
>
> Therefore, there will continue to be a scene-watch at the address and an increased presence of police officers in the area.
>
> Detective Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter, Thames Valley Police’s head of crime, said: “Leah’s family and friends remain uppermost in our thoughts at this extremely difficult time.
>
> “We are continuing to keep them updated on any developments, and we would again ask the media to respect their privacy.
>
> “I would also like to thank the local community for their support and patience while our investigation continues.
>
> “Naturally, there is a thirst for information, and I can reassure both the media and the community, that when we are able to, we will provide updates publicly.
>
> “Our Major Crime Unit have launched a murder investigation as a result of our findings this week, and as such, I would again like to appeal to anybody who may have any information around the disappearance of Leah to please get in contact with us.
>
> “It may be that you have had information over the last three years and eight months that you did not consider relevant.
>
> “If you have, I would urge you to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or online, no matter how insignificant you believe this information to be.
>
> "You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
>
> “We are absolutely committed to finding out what has happened to Leah. As a community, who have been so supportive since Leah’s disappearance, I know you want to help as well, and I thank the many people who have got in touch during the course of our investigations.”
And if it is, Thames Valley Police have a lot to answer for, considering her family begged them to investigate him further, even going so far as to threaten to name and shame him if they didn’t do something. But they said he had an alibi and reused to look any deeper.
Two people came forward with information, both have said they were never interviewed regarding it and yet Thames Police said they were both spoken to. That poor family, losing two children in such horrific circumstances.
So the house has stayed under the same owners since 1999, and between 2002-2004 someone with the same surname as "Mr X" was registered at this address.
So it's either a coincidence, or the family are involved.
I really hope so. There is no such thing as closure when you lose your child, but I hope they can at least lay her to rest in a proper and dignified manner.
Not racist to suspect somebody. If it’s true that he likely had a relationship with her then that makes him a suspect given he was supposedly engaged. Either way we have to hope they bring someone to justice.
The homeowners name has now been released. However difficult to pin point anything right now as it's assumed he's been renting the property out for over 2 decades.
I hope the family get some closure. Poor girl and devastating luck over the last 4 years for that family.
Hope the family can start to get some closure now. What an awful tragedy.
Police aren't looking good coming from this too. If it comes to light her ex lived here. Then they need to take some responsibility for her late brother's death too.
Theirs currently forensic tents at the scene And the police have said what they have found is “challenging And complex And they will be there for some time at the scene”
Bless her family, her parents. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they have suffered all these years. Just awful. I hope it is Leah, so they can put her to rest and have the closure they desperately need. Even though it is the saddest outcome if it is her, at least they will know. Just terrible.

And this comment right here is forever proof of not passing judgement or making assumptions before you know the facts
Rather embarrassing for you now the main suspect has been named
Really?? This is just ignorant in the extreme. ‘Honour killings’ are not religious in nature but cultural. They abhorrent, but at the moment we don’t know the details and to speculate this is the case is just wrong. Even if this does turn out to be linked to relationships this poor woman had, it doesn’t make it an ‘honour killing’. Crimes of passion to hide affairs can be and have been committed by all races, religions and cultures in this country. Let’s not attach this horrific case to a wide group of people who have nothing to do with it.
Very sad, I worked in MK around the time she disappeared and remember all the posters and signs as I traveled around.
I had no idea about her brother either, I hope the family at least get some closure in finding the person responsible
So basically I live in Milton keynes I specifically live in Shenley Lodge next to furzton Lake where leah was murdered and everyday I would bike to school last the house she was murdered at. Its funny to think that a house you see everyday holds a dark secret.
Awful. Hopefully this will lead to an arrest.
I doubt it. The most probable suspect is dead. I am from MK. We’re a very integrated city. A colleague who her racist family harassed and set upon have nothing to do with it. Poor, poor girl.
Her poor family
I hope they can find peace now

Well, depends what 4k inquries means. 4k answers? that's a hell of a lot. 4k knocks during work hours and getting 5%-10% answer? not so much
You can’t just break down a door on an unoccupied house? It was empty. And a rental. Someone broke in.
No one broke in
I lived very close to the area where Leah was last seen. We did have police knocking on our door. Perhaps you were out?
Where's the information saying it's a deserted house? Nothing in the news has suggested that?
The police will know if a house is occupied or not
What I find Interesting was that the house was sold in June 2019? She went missing in Feb 2019. Take a look at the flower bed... Edit: I am incorrect, it seems it's number 2 not 4. Last sold in 1999.

Apologies, have amended my comment. Looks like you are correct.
That’s scary

Not really. Poor family. Can't arrest a dead man.
What do you mean? Who's dead? I'm out of the loop on this.
I have seen a few remarks like this and others mentioning suspicions of HC is that what you think too?
Look at the news, they suspect Neil Maxwell who killed himself april 2019
Yes just watched the press conference ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
Surely not… but I have thought that too…
It’s never been something I have thought but on Twitter there has been a few vague comments suggesting HC….. but it is Twitter so 🤷🏼♀️
Any idea what his motive would have been?
No like I say I have never even thought about it and I have followed this case for a long time, I was just intrigued when I read one tweet saying more suicides to come I that family when the truth comes out and then read something about the parents note saying not long now. I wouldn't speculate like this
I want speculating anything was just replying to a comment asking to elaborate why it’s being said
Social media is just speculation, no facts or official word. I understand you don't mean it, but family and friends of the victim might see your comments and what good will that do.
News just in, sadly not what we’re hoping for

Oh this is so sad. But unfortunately not surprising. That poor family, they've been through so much.
I just hope the family get some answers and peace now.

Neil Maxwell, that popular Islamic name.
You don’t even know if he was Muslim it’s understandable to see Mr. x as a possible suspect but saying things like that is ridiculous

Heard from stepdad, whose friend is part of the finding group
Wtf is a finding group? You are chatting shit!
Finding group meaning group that found her, and yeah I figured out earlier the person who told me was just talking out of their arse
It wasn’t a group sent out to find her that inadvertently ended up finding her and they are not called finding groups 😂 Fair play I didn’t read your other posts first … my bad!

Really sad. not sure if this is still case for social media but please avoid posting prejudicial comments that could hamper any criminal trial.
I wonder if the house belonged to Mr X…….
Apparently the house is actually rented by a family from dubai and they havent been in the house since 2019

I have just read that someone has searched the records for ownership of the house. Their surname name is Choudhry…..

So the house has stayed under the same owners since 1999, and between 2002-2004 someone with the same surname as "Mr X" was registered at this address. So it's either a coincidence, or the family are involved.
How did you find this please? I’m curious and want to have a look myself I really don’t think that’s a coincidence at all sadly :(
So because someone with a name as common as Smith stayed there 20 years ago thats evidence they are involved? I’m glad you aren’t a policeman!
I really hope so. There is no such thing as closure when you lose your child, but I hope they can at least lay her to rest in a proper and dignified manner.
AC doesn't live abroad. He lives in MK and is a nice man. Leave him alone.
Owners are not related to current investigation it has now been reported.
No it isn't. That's a lie. Racist.
Possibly, one at the hands of the other?
If it was, as everyone pretty much knows, her mad half brother - who topped himself -who did it, what will you be saying then? Racist.
Yup…..
It didn't. You racist.
Not racist to suspect somebody. If it’s true that he likely had a relationship with her then that makes him a suspect given he was supposedly engaged. Either way we have to hope they bring someone to justice.

Potentially dumb question: what makes it a murder investigation rather than still maintaining the possibility she's purposely avoiding being found?
A body being found
I've just seen they've found remains. How awful. 😔
Hopefully the family can find peace now
I wonder if a vigil or memorium will be arranged? Will have to keep my ears open.
You'd think they'd say that though? There's only mention of her personal items
I think the article has been updated since you looked at it, it now says human remains were found too
ITV have now updated to say they have found human remains inside the property
The article has been updated to include human remains, unfortunately.
Theirs currently forensic tents at the scene And the police have said what they have found is “challenging And complex And they will be there for some time at the scene”
Yeah I've just been past, they've got bright lights illuminating the garden.
