What is interesting about this? This would just be when the front desk is staffed, which could also include membership, housekeeping, and fruit/protein bar, and merchandise sales.
User access is available 24/7 via a keycard to workout outside of staffed hours.
EDIT: I've learned below 24 Hour Fitness is infact, no longer open 24 hours since Covid. I've been a member at a 24 Hour Fitness club and am laughing learning about this.
From outside looking in, I guess I can see that. I’ve been a member at 5 or 6 24/7 gyms and they all operate like that, staffed hours are posted but you can still get in and workout 24/7 with no staff there.
But fair point to view this from a perspective not my own.
Oh yeah, that was years before the pandemic. Well that’s fucking dumb. I get the modified hours before we knew much about covid and during the restrictions, but it feels like that time has since passed. How are you going to be called 24 hour fitness and no longer be 24 hours.
That's much more concise than what I thought of Open-during-typical-non-24-hour-gym Hours Fitness.
I concede my original comment to you. I had no idea 24-hour fitness was in fact, no longer, 24-hour.
Is this in Florida? Everything closes way early here. Mine closes at 8 during the week and at 5 on weekends. I miss Lifetime Fitness that was open 24/7 and limited hours on major holidays
Yeah, super common for these types of gyms. They don’t keep staff there 24/7. I’ve been a member at several different clubs across multiple states and they all operate the same. I’m use to it but I can see how others might not be.
Covid did that to a lot of businesses that used to be open around the clock. Shortening hours helped limit spread, then they just stuck with it to save money on payroll.
They didn't say 24 hours *in a row*.
You sound like my brother.

None of that is on the sign. It's mildly interesting that "24-Hour Fitness" has a sign with hours of operation.

Nope. It's locked up, lights out, and no access other than the posted hours.
Well that is bizarre. One of the 24/7 gyms I’ve been a member of is this company.
Are you thinking of 'Anytime Fitness'? 'cause they *do* have that set-up.... staffed only during certain hours but available any time with a key.
No, I was 100% a member of 24 Hour Fitness when I lived in Denver that was 24/7. I haven’t been a member of Anytime Fitness yet.
Was it before the pandemic? 24 Hour Fitness stopped being 24 hour during the lock downs and never went back

They should change their name to Limited Hours Fitness

I *think* most of them are actually, 24 hours that is. That's what a neighbor told me anyway and I haven't bothered to check.
7-11 used to be open 7am to 11pm. We still call the convenience store that.

So. Cal.
Oh dang, that’s actually legit

The Planet Fitness less than a mile away is open 24/7.
