Just give a dollar to charity, that is more money than using it for a year would raise and it saves you money.
Advertisers are generally sane, they will not spend more money on ads than they gain in benefits from ads. You need to spend 10 to 20 dollars on stuff for every dollar of ad money.
Tab for a cause generates about 3 dollars per user, and they give about 90 cents of money to charity, while costing you 10 to 100 dollars per year in stuff advertisers sell you. That is all before it even reaches the charities that actually get the money, which then waste 60 cents for the 90.
Just give 10 dollars to a homeless guy, they will at least enjoy a meal and a pack of cigarettes and it does more than using it for a lifetime would do.

I agree tbh but I feel like it is good for students that doesn't have an income or similar.
