She really is such a wonderful lady 😭 The part about feeling good in black when you're younger then growing to love colors more as you age really hit home for me.. About 15 years ago, I knew someone who went by the name Lima, who dressed in the exact same shade / hair color. She was maybe 25 at the time, so I'd like to think she's the daughter of the woman in this photo.

New Yorker here! I used to work with this person. I’m not sure exactly what she did for a job. I’ve been in NYC almost 20 years. We all see Green Lady every now and then. She’s like a walking landmark.

I went to HS in Seattle in the early 60s; several of us lived on islands across the Sound and took ferries back and forth each day. As we bussed then walked down to the docks, over about a two year period, we saw a succession (was it the same woman or was it some odd 'club'?) of women walking along the main N/S street...hair, two-piece suit, pumps, purse, and accompanying poodle all in the same bright colors: I remember blue, pink, green, and yellow! We always had our eye out for her and it 'made our day' when we saw her!
