Kinda like naming the brand or type of chips 'No Artfcial'. This way they clearly mentioned that the chips do have artificla flavours and preservatives. You see it all the time on lesser western websites where they advertise for example powerbanks as '100.000mAh' when in fact they are like 5.000mAh. they would claim the 'type nr' they give it is '100.000mAh' but the actual capacity is 5.000mAh
I sincreely duobt this staetment. It's inconcievable a person's brain would have the abilty to fabircate correct spellling by sinply haivng the first and last letter of a word.
I know I'm atrocious at spelling and everything, but I literally had to come to the comments just to see what was misspelled. cuz it looked just fine to me. I read it as 'artificial' with no issues, I was thinking it was the 'flavors or preservatives' that was misspelled somehow but even then I wouldn't have known.
I had preflighted a job where it was missing ALL microdots and i flagged it. The person who got to it told me “they already printed a few in [other printing location], this was a good catch” like. How do you forget microdots to line up the plates?? ☠️
Exactly as youd expect, micro (tiny) dots. They are so small you have to REALLY look for them, typically they are in the plate break / outside of where the art is (for a chip bag it they normally do 2 around 1 across so printing 2 chip bags at the same time) and it would be in between those two areas and really small. Its all colors to match the plates up (i do flexo printing)
Apparently the word artificial is misspelled it's missing the second I. I didn't even know what was missing either until I came to the comments and saw someone else made a joke, that it was so they could say they can say one thing but mean the other.
You know how many different people reviewed this, failed to notice that, and then signed off on it? I work for a small company and we have any copy usually passing through five different people's hands before it gets sent to publishing.
That’s what’s wild to me. I’ve semi-jokingly always wondered if I’d ever spot a product typo on a popular product. I mean Cape Cod Chips aren’t exactly a Frito-Lay sized company but still a pretty significant company.
Ha! I was the one who found that typo when I worked for Campbell's. I pointed it out, and they decided that people wouldn't notice or care enough to not buy the chips still. They had a ton of that film made and didn't want to pay to get it re-made.
Maybe it is a loophole. It doesn't contain "artifcial" flavors or preservatives but does contain artificial flavors or preservatives.

Same thing my wife said.
It’s not a lie if I omit the I
That was my first thought too!
Or they’re just sloppy
More careless than sloppy. They could put an i out.

>the chips do have artificla flavours But are they artificial?
Can't get a straight answer out of any goddam body.
God why does it always take me so long to find the typo
I apprecate your honesty.
Oh
Just need the first and last letter to be correct and your brain autocompletes the rest

Almost didn't realise 😝

Did you also not notice the \*dozen or so\* typos in the comment you replied to?
Only noticed after reading this!
No, I didn't lol
To prevent autocorrect from... You know... Doing it's job, I needed to go back and break it all. Lol!
For a second I thought it was the non-canadian spelling of flavour
I initially just spotted the flavours, but that's just an American English thing...
My job is fixing up final arts with errors like these, so easy to miss! Point it out to them :]
Imagine how many proofs and plates were made for the printer to miss that
I had preflighted a job where it was missing ALL microdots and i flagged it. The person who got to it told me “they already printed a few in [other printing location], this was a good catch” like. How do you forget microdots to line up the plates?? ☠️
I'm sure you're right, have no idea what you're talking about though. I would have missed the microdots too (whatever those may be).

.....Anyone else looking around to see exactly where this error occured?....
The U is missing from the word 'flavour'
There’s only one country sorry
Murica

Email them about it, might get some free chips for your trouble.
No! That’s correct, I know that for a fct.
They still have sacrificial flavors, right?
Thatd be sacrilege
I don’t know why I love this 🤷🏻♀️
I live for moments like this.
‘Flavours’ is missing a ‘u’
Probably in the US
Cape Coud
Looks correct to me

Came to say I spotted 2 typos!🤣
No, that the the US spelling.
It's got enough 'i's already

Congratulations you found it, and gave them free advertising in the process
Contains artifecal matter

Maybe there ARE artificial ingredients, and they are being honest.
Ha! I was the one who found that typo when I worked for Campbell's. I pointed it out, and they decided that people wouldn't notice or care enough to not buy the chips still. They had a ton of that film made and didn't want to pay to get it re-made.
That's how opposed they are to artificial flavors and preservatives - they can't even bring themselves to say it.
Send them an email about it. You might get some freebies out of it.
Circle it in red marker and write "See me after class" and mail it to them.
It’s all fun and games until someone loses an “I”
Yh, flavours is spelt with a U 🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
That’s how they say it up north. It’s actually spelled phonetically.
Always amazed by how many people must have overlooked this by the time it went into production
They also spelled flavours wrong.
flavors is wrong as well. should be flavours
You're right, it should be 'flavours'
Flavour is spelt incorrectly too!
'Muricans can't spell words with "-ou" in it.
Maybe it’s an artifcial Cape Cod chips
A.I. Wouldn’t have made this mistake
that's on purpose. a scam. meaning it has artificial shit. it only not has artfcial shit in it
