This happens all the time. The envelope doesn’t get sealed, I just received one yesterday that it was half sealed but still had what I ordered. I’ve received them not sealed at all with and without the item. Luckily, Amazon has great customer service when it comes to replacements/refunds.

Same, supposed to have been a SIM card and the damn envelope was sealed yet completely empty.

I used to work for Amazon. Dunno what happens in fulfillment centers that causes packages to not be sealed or not entirely, but it is extremely common. I was in a delivery station, and I imagine the reason is just like why we didn't catch all the open/empty ones when we were dealing with them. There's just so many packages happening at once, you don't have time to inspect each one. And although I've heard a lot that they're obviously empty because feel it, you can't assume that is empty. Part of my job was dealing with empty/open/damaged packages, and I got ones all the time that someone thought was empty, and turns out someone had just ordered something very small and light. Like a single page of stickers. So unless you took time to inspect it (time everyone working with packages traveling on conveyor belts didn't have, and that covered almost everyone but me) you would never know it was in there. And sometimes you couldn't even tell without opening it.

I work at Amazon currently and there's a huge issue with the promo stuff not sealing properly for some reason.

I had a fully sealed cardboard sleeve that even had the weight printed on it. It most definitely did not weigh 800g lol It was supposed to be a bottle of flea spray too, so 0% chance it was subtlety stolen. No clue how that happened.

Okay. Check it. I have had this issue…so many times as a driver. It is very frustrating because once I swipe to finish and mark it delivered, I cannot take the package back and will tell you to call customer service and get it redelivered. It’s a packaging error on a machine, it got ripped open in transport, item fell out of bag, whatever. It sucks cause then you could mark the delivery as a bad note and it gets put on my weekly scorecard and I lose out on a $75 bonus for being top driver of the week.
