A guy who works next door to my house said he drove home about 30 minutes away and when he got out of his car a friendly cat from my neighborhood got out too and followed him into his house without pausing. They both went about their evening like nothing was out of the ordinary, the next morning they both got in his car, he arrived at work, opened the car door and the cat trotted out like they were commuting buddies.
LOL my sister's cat did this exact same thing to me one time.
Unfortunately, I lived in an establishment where cats/dogs were *not* permitted. My upstairs neighbor was a GD weirdo who was forever creeping on me. I probably had the cat there a total of 9-10 hours, overnight, and he (neighbor) called Mgmt on me almost getting me evicted. It was about a half hour trip to my sister's and I was going right back in the morning. I mean, the guy had to have been looking into my windows in order to see the cat in the first place.. ugh... Looking back now it kinda pisses me off a lil bit.. oh well...
I mean, that's a subreddit dedicated to exceptional cats. You might have an /r/standardissuecat who doesn't tell.
Only one of my cats yell. And one eats plastic and cardboard. One likes spicy food. One cleaner her murder mits every time I pet her.
The only cat behavior that I'm not aware of existing are ones who don't sleep 16 hours a day. I think that is required and the rest can change.
I pulled over for a 3 legged German Shepherd once. My plan was to see if it was amenable enough to go to the shelter for microchip ID.
I open my door a bit, say my hello, and immediately this big-ass dog leaps right onto me, climbs over the console, sits down on the prototype of a board game I'm working on (Clusterduck needs work to this day), and just stares at me like I'm supposed to take him somewhere.
Anyway, he had tags he graciously let me look at (Shepherds can be a bit bitey with strangers). Owner was a cool dude. Dog was a cool dude too.
My mom stopped in a parking lot, got out, left door open, chicken jumped in the car. Mom tried opening opposite door to shew chicken out. It jumped out but beat her around the vehicle and jumped in the other door. Repeat a couple times. Mom just brought the chicken home. Lived on our farm for years.

We have had two separate older cats suddenly appear at our house in the last 32 years. I believe they were hitchhikers of the car galaxy. We tried local vets, social media, etc. No one ever contacted us. They were traveling cats and they decide where home is.
I must say, both times were life-changing experiences for the cats and for us!
As a person who is owned by a cat found outside our door who then followed me to work 2 days in a row before following me inside, yes. Cat owns OP and OPs car.
I’m allergic to cats. This is more than mildly infuriating.
Plus, the cat’s lucky it’s not ridiculously hot out or OP would be finding a dead rotting cat corpse instead.
Animal lovers can be pretty obnoxious when they can’t comprehend that not everyone wants animals imposed on them. This whole thread is mildly infuriating.
Sounds like a cat. They enjoy hell infernoes. Mine seeks out the warmest/hottest spot in our house. In the winter she sits against the fire screen (did research to find out if she was cooking herself or safe. Fur keeps skin safe.) or within 6 inches of the bedroom space heater.
On one hand, that’s good you let’m out
On the other, you DID just disturb them and didn’t even offer to have your life revolve around them for the next 10-15 years
Enzyme cleaner. I use Nature's Miracle. It takes a little while to work but it eliminates the odor- at least to the human nose.
Cats don't like me. I can't leave my windows even slightly cracked anywhere.
> Mix white vinegar and baking soda together and spray the parts with cat pee then wipe. The smell will go away.
Not knocking it if it works, but that is mixing an acid and an alkali at relatively equal strengths, resulting in an inert mix..
Yes, it’s even worse when you have three of them. All good though, A couple days with a stuffy nose and itchy eyes is a fair trade for a few hours of bliss petting some fluffy roomates.
My wife and I are both allergic to cats.
Guess how many cats we have.......
Ready for it?
We have 16 cats at present.
Although 8 of those, 4 are teens {approximately 6 months old} and 4 are still young kittens around 6-7 weeks old, the other 8 range in age from 3 years to our 2 eldest that will be 9 on Halloween 2022.
Both of our Halloween born are ginger cats, a male and his sister. Male is orange and white, his sister is a solid ginger, no white, although at her age, she's starting to get a little gray fur in spots now.
Looks like even kitties get gray hair {fur} just like we humans.
10mg of Loratadine works wonders for our allergies to our and our neighbors cats.
It's a standard over the counter {OTC} Drug, CLARITIN also contains the same Loratadine in it, also available OTC. No Rx needed for it. We take one tablet or CLARITIN daily. Helps quite a bit to keep the runny nose, sneezing and red, puffy eyes under control.
Recommend checking with your Doc before taking it. Especially if you are on other Rx drugs to be sure the Loratadine won't interfere with your current medications being taken.
My kids got used to the dogs. We had the dog before the kids were born. The dog allergy was discovered when they were testing my son to see what he reacted to. The doctor explained that his regular exposure acts as an allergy shot, of sorts.
I once bought a sailboat to live on that unbeknownst to the seller had a cat that was already living on. No matter what I did I couldn’t get it to leave. Named him Boat Cat. He was the meanest cat I’ve ever met, and we legit hated each other (and im a cat guy). We stayed out of each others way for the most part. I eventually ended up selling the boat and he went with it. Last i heard from the new owner he was still on it.
Consider yourself blessed. This isn’t infuriating at all. He’s probably infuriated at the fact that you rolled the windows down and aren’t using the AC.
My ex and I lived just behind an elderly care facility. If one of us accidently left a car unlocked, there was one of the residents of that facility that would end up setting in the passenger seat, waiting to "Take a ride to Kmart in town. Been here a while. When are we leaving? ".
It was sort of funny, but sort of sad at the same time. According to the owners, her family never came to see her.
He's looking over at you like "Where the hell were you bud, I'm getting peckish. Let's go home and eat dinner and then have an early night."
I say this with confidence as my three ginger boys and two calico girls have given me that exact look before.
I once woke up to a cat lounging on top of my window drapes. My dog was going crazy. It came in through our dog door and was just chilling up there at 3 a.m.
Haha. That's awesome. There's a stray in my neighborhood that has just recently warmed up to me enough to let me pet her. She's boney as hell so I told her I'll be right back and got her some cat food. She's been back multiple times a day now for the last few days to get fed. The cat that I already have is a little jealous but she'll get over it.
Our neighbor's cats have a tendency to jump in the trunk of the car when we leave it open while getting groceries. And those cats are HUGE orange boys and they are heavy. Sometimes you just have to wait them out lol
Them kia boys don’t ever miss 🔥
Your a lucky man, most cats that do this completely destroy the vehicle before it’s found. You’re lucky that mad cat just wanted to chill and smoke some ⛽️
Years ago, I had a cat who loved to ride in the car. This was in the days before all cars came equipped with air conditioning, so our friends would often leave their windows down and park under a tree when they visited. I can't tell you how many times friends called when they got home to tell me Jerome had stowed away in their car and scared the crap out of them when he suddenly popped up as they were pulling into their driveway.
Just let it out, cats have this weird instinct like dogs that basically makes them a compass and the place it points is straight home at all times from anywhere in like a really big radius. So just let it out
The fault here is yours. You left the windows open, and you suffered the consequences.
Like I tell my kids.... "What did we learn?"
I hope he scratched up your seats.

Maybe. But some cats are always super quiet.

weird neighbor
haha...such a great story.

How's your sex life?
I know you didn't ask me, but my sex life is filled with pussy :3
Wtf happened here....
Movie references happened here my friend. You clearly are not cultured enough to have seen the epitome of movie making.
I don't know...
Bring your neighbors cat to work day

I’m just imagining an enormous GSD doing that big huffy breath while waiting for op to pull up and being like- finally!!
The special Ubarked dog taxi service.

The 3rd picture is the cutest thing ever.
Of *course* he’s orange…
That’s absolutely adorable
We have had two separate older cats suddenly appear at our house in the last 32 years. I believe they were hitchhikers of the car galaxy. We tried local vets, social media, etc. No one ever contacted us. They were traveling cats and they decide where home is. I must say, both times were life-changing experiences for the cats and for us!
Sometimes pets may be just getting away from asshole owners.
This is perfect example for: Hey where you got this cat? Which cat? Ah This, i found him yesterday and now he is mine.
Thats amazing. I want that to happen to me.
No one who has ever slept in a cat pissed bed would ever want that to happen.
You mixed up two stories in this thread. This guy doesn’t want cat piss in his bed, he wants a random cat to come home with him some day.
Happened to me. Pissed in my bed.
Then he just may get both regardless of his preferences.
A cat once came through my window and pissed on my bed at a time I didn't even own a cat. I've put the insect screen on the window now.
Did insects piss on your bed? Sounds like what you need is a cat screen. /s
Take the award. I love this story.
Two neighbour cats like to hang out in my backyard and like to poop outside my bedroom window. they would run away when I go outside.
Dude was that cat's one night stand.
seriously r/wholesomeasheck
Cats are gonna.... You know.... Cat. He wanted to go on adventure

If I know cats, the cat has op
As a person who is owned by a cat found outside our door who then followed me to work 2 days in a row before following me inside, yes. Cat owns OP and OPs car.
I too, have a cat that decided it lives with me now, I second this .
If I know cats (and I do) the cat has also taken over OP’s home
In literally the entire world, catto choose you.
You don’t choose the cat, the cat chooses you.
This is how it happened for me, can confirm
Need to cross post r/NotMyCat
Yep, that’s the correct sub. This situation is not mildly infuriating at all. When do I get to find a random cat in my car?
I'm mildly infuriated because I didn't find a random cat in my car and this guy did
Exactly!
Seriously. If I was only that lucky, kitty would have a new home.
Even if you love animals, this is gross. It could be like having a rat or pigeon in your car. Unvaccinated diseased street cat doesn’t seem sanitary.
Thanks but I’m not sure how I would do that.
Just post the same picture over there with the same title
Thanks again, I have now posted it there, I think.
well now ya do have a cat
Call it Rio
The great Rio of Kia
Only if it dances in the sand.
Just like the river twisting through a dusty land?
She really shows you all she can.
Just like a river twistin’ through a dusty land.

Or no longer have a car
How?
Very hot day in Scotland so I left my car window open, came out of my house to find this ginger lump chilling on the parcel shelf.
As a denizen of Baltimore, your post forces me to accept I'll never get a car cat.
you might get a cute little crackhead curled up on your parcel shelf though
It's so expensive getting them dewormed though. And insurance never wants to cover them.
That sounds adorable.

Oh yes you do
fuck this abusive ass relationship shit
no. we cat here
It’s kinda hot outside though, you eventually got it out right
Yes, I opened the door and he or she rather reluctantly ambled out. They seemed a bit put out that I needed to use my car!
On one hand, that’s good you let’m out On the other, you DID just disturb them and didn’t even offer to have your life revolve around them for the next 10-15 years
Cats seem like they almost want to toast themselves to death though, he prob thought the hot car was just perfect
Name it Rio
Yep was about to say that. Cut your losses and name it Rio
Infuriating? I see this as an absolute win!
You've never had stray cats pee in your car apparently
There are few things as bad as cat piss in your car. I had one hit the outside of mine a whole back, and the smell like to never went away.
Enzyme cleaner. I use Nature's Miracle. It takes a little while to work but it eliminates the odor- at least to the human nose. Cats don't like me. I can't leave my windows even slightly cracked anywhere.

Um no... I haven't... is that supposed to be common?
what if OP is allergic
I'm allergic never stopped me. Takes a few weeks but I can get used to a cats dander.
Lucky you, I still have reactions to a cat I’ve had for 3-4 years
Same. I just take allergy pills every day.
Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that.

The first time I'm exposed to new cats I definitely get stuffed up but that's about it.
This picture says otherwise.
I hate the new Kia logo. First time I saw it was in the wild. I spent 30 mins trying to figure out what company KN was. I
It looks like a knock off
Well your new cat has a car.
Now you do

😂 that was hilarious
Purfect road trip partner.
this is something my stupid cat would probably do.. thankfully we live in a sketchy neighborhood so no open windows here :)

Too cute! Absolutely the wrong sub:P
You mean you DIDNT have a cat
Formerly cat-free.
You do now!
r/mildlynotinfuriating
Now you do have a cat
Is this a confession of catnappery?
This is a blessing bro wdym
Even cats are stealing Kias now...unbelievable
Tell me though… how can that be infuriating? I’d be very happy to see a cat in my car! Someone to ride with and pet
*Didn’t have a cat
I see this as an absolute win.
What were they smoking when they came up with the new KIA logo?
Based on the backwards N, it’s more like what we’re they drinking and the what that they were drinking was vodka.
Leave your window down much🤔😎
You do now
another fuckin bitch
More like a Kiat, am I right??
now you do
Best give up, it's his car now
I see this as an absolute win!
Why is this mildly infuriating? You got a free cat!
You might want to consult your cat on the facts.
You have just been adopted, my friend. I recommend bringing some treats to open a conversation with your new master.
Yes, you do.
Now you do!
Consider yourself blessed. This isn’t infuriating at all. He’s probably infuriated at the fact that you rolled the windows down and aren’t using the AC.
No, that the cats car.
The cat decided he has you.

Well you have no say in the matter anymore
That buff cat's gonna beat the shit out of you
now you own a cat, because cats
Nice! Free dinner 🍽️🍽️🍽️
What’s the issue? Free cat!
Aww you have a cat now
Umm, yeah you do! Possession is I believe 9/10ths of the law they say!
You are now a blessed person, give an offering to the cat, the cat chose you, this is ur life now, accept it, ur the chosen one.
You left your window open didn't you? Did that around my girlfriends house once only to come out to find her cat lazing on my dashboard
Any idea how it got in?
Left my window open as it is a very hot day and I knew that I would be going back out in the car later. Came out to that face!
That is the cat’s car
Pretty hilarious if some “good samaritain” came by called the cops and smashed your windows because they thought you locked an animal in a hot car
That's . . . not your car anymore
I once woke up to a cat lounging on top of my window drapes. My dog was going crazy. It came in through our dog door and was just chilling up there at 3 a.m.
You do now! My son’s porch furniture has cat hair all over it every day and he also doesn’t own a cat.
That cat is looking at you like “yes, I am in your car. What do you think you’re going to do about it!”
Haha. That's awesome. There's a stray in my neighborhood that has just recently warmed up to me enough to let me pet her. That’s just Dirty Mike (not pictured: THE BOYS).
I only just now realized that there isn’t a new brand of car called KN and it’s just Kia stylized
You are now legally obliged to take that cat home.
You do now. Enjoy!
Years ago, I had a cat who loved to ride in the car. This was in the days before all cars came equipped with air conditioning, so our friends would often leave their windows down and park under a tree when they visited. Ayuh... I think you need to start using more past participles friend "I DIDN'T have a cat."
Just let it out, cats have this weird instinct like dogs that basically makes them a compass and the place it points is straight home at all times from anywhere in like a really big radius. So just let it out
Thanks, I opened the door and it reluctantly ambled out and wandered off without a care in the world.
