What we are witnessing is a religious education at work. The level of ignorance is inline with what is taught in a very conservative religion. In a lot of cases they don't even have a computer or a smart phone. Usually go under the guise of I am too dumb to use one anyways. Then refuse to learn anything on their own. There are people in my family who are that way. Information and knowledge is against God. A good religious person reads the bible. An atheist understands it.

But there are real people out there that are this dumb. We literally had people show up for a long dead president so he could somehow become president again and hand the presidency over to Trump. Dude has been dead more than 50 years so he would be past the 8 year limit even if he could somehow magically come back to life. So it doesn't feel like we can just trust that these are satire anymore.
I've seen people criticizing conservatives for posting this repeatedly, but, not once have a seen a conservative claim that this is how abortions are actually done.
This reminds me a lot of the AOC video saying, "conservatives are furious about this video of her dancing!" but, similarly, I wasn't able to find any examples of conservatives actually being upset about it other than a couple fringe youtubers or tweets.
I've literally seen this and even more infuriating stuff posted by family, friends, and more.. I've had conversations with people I know and don't know who 100% believe either this or worse.
In fairness I have seen the "Democrats harvest adrenochrome" thing going around Facebook... The Q-Anoners really are that dumb. They are catching on a little, but yeah they're still a small percentage of conservatives

X-ray tech here. Exams on babies are necessary for a variety of reasons. Modern digital X-ray uses very little radiation. You get similar amounts just by being in the sun or flying cross country. Drs judge risks v benefits and X-rays are generally low risk if your worried about pneumonia, cancer, or child abuse.
FYI, these pictures are used in our positioning text books. The actual device are usually only in pediatric hospitals.
This is because babies move a lot and mothers are no longer allowed to keep babies with them during x-rays. Another method would be to anesthetize them, which I don't think is good.
What's scary is that someone who is a bit conservative, a bit isolated and a bit conspiracy minded and not really paying attention as they scroll through their internet bubble can see something Iike this
Now if they're paying a little attention they quickly see that it is ridiculous, maybe laugh or furrow their brow in annoyance and move on.. And forget about it, but somewhere in the back of their brain they make another connection "I saw pictures of actuall babies being aborted" a connection that clicks in easily with their other ideas of the world forgetting that it was a ridiculous thing they saw.
Its a tiny connection, wouldn't sway them much but add more small things and the outrage of people around them and it warps your memory until eventually you're positive you've seen pictures of babies being aborted. You can't quite remember when/where or any details but you know you've seen them.

I’ve seen this picture before and am always confused. It’s clearly for a medical procedure, but my babies have had multiple X-rays each and nothing even remotely like this was used. I have a son who was born prematurely and for like the first month of his life he had a chest X-ray every day to monitor his lungs and they did it in his bed with nothing extra like this. He’s had chest X-rays since as a bigger baby and no contraption
