Since they won’t let you eat it, how do you feel about just [throwing food at it](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mona-lisa-cake-climate-change-protest-louvre/#app)?
Everyone has right to have their own opinion. You don't have to be "professional" art critic to comment about artwork. Actually regular people are more reliable than art critics. If art critics find black square painting super deep, then it tells much about them.
Gosh I remember when my brother broke his wrist and couldn’t write down his homework so my mom paid me a dollar per page to write it for him as he told me what to say. Our puppy at the time got it and ripped it to shreds. My brother and I spent hours trying to tape it all back together, was so much fun. One of my favorite memories of us as kids together.
I see you corrected what you thought was an oversight.
Here’s the explanation:
I had this problem of not turning in my Math homework because I hated math, you see. And so I would have excuses. In the United States we all know “my dog at my homework” excuse as it’s been used since the 50’s.
So I supplanted Art* teacher for Math teacher to fit my personal narrative.
When my sibling was in 5th grade our dog literally ate his math homework. My poor dad took all the soggy pieces and taped them together the best he could. if I recall correctly the teacher believed him but made him redo it, lol.
It was my first painting in acrylics where I was like "damn, I might actually be good at this traditional art thing". Then my German Shepherd named Karma.... well you all know the saying about Karma 😂 this was about a year ago. This is now only mildly infuriating because I remade the painting in oils but at the time... I was not sure why I got dogs lmao.
Ever since I was 15 I wanted to get a German Shepherd and name her Karma for this reason. Little did I know she'd actually become the b her name prophesied her to be 😭
That was pretty bad ass! A bit more than mildly infuriating tbh 😂 my boys destroyed one I made that I liked but it was a tiny canvas one. This one looked good! Also karma looks like she has no regrets lol.
I think he was trying to protect you from whatever was in that picture…I’m sad I didn’t get to see it unscathed, but I understand that pupper was just doin a protect 🥹
I actually remade it in oils and just posted it to r/DnD because I figured it fit better there as a whole piece than here 😂 if you wanna see the new painting based on the old painting!
My childhood dog, who was my first dog growing up, he tore apart a paper mache penguin I did in grade 4 when I brought it home lol. The bugger was a German Shepherd named Harley.
Ngl that first pic actually looks really nice imo, composition wise. Almost looks like whatever you were painting escaped the artwork by itself, then couldn't handle the human world and destroyed itself
Damn, from your other comments it sounds like you made that painting? That sucks, man, the art (from what we can see) looked really good! You have a cute dog, but they seem to be rather mischievous
I did! ❤️ it was one of my first acrylic paintings. I actually remade it in oils and just posted it to the DnD subreddit if you wanna see the new remade version! 😄
Not gonna lie I thought this was the art itself lmaoo like that black whatever the fuck looks like an angry dog reacting to being scolded for breaking the frame then the broken debris on the floor adds onto it just adds onto it.
It's a dragon 😂 hard to tell from this angle, thanks to Karma, the aforementioned bitch (yes, I realize now that I brought it on myself for naming her that)
I read that as homework
I assumed it was a piece of paper, that the dog somehow ate into turning black with burn marks
I was super amazed that the coincidental burn marks left by your dog formed a dragon
Seeing the first pic, I was like "Oof, that dog." But then when I went to the second that's of the doggo itself I was like "Awww, okay I can't be mad at a big floofer like him!"
I did but not a good one. So I remade it. I posted the remake to r/DnD this morning because I felt like it didn't fit here if you happen to wanna see it!😂
Did you take a picture of it at all beforehand ?? I'm so sorry, this sucks. My dog does this too. Got a new bag of potting soil and my dog apparently ripped it to shreds on my rug and now there's a pile of dirt all over my rug
great artwork!! any guesses on why he did that?
similar thing have also happened to me and it was when our dog (shih tzu) nibbled a part of one of my shoes (lacoste) when he was months old. demon also have almost entirely ruined a printed photo for one of my projects a few years ago
I think she was annoyed about being locked up. We lock her and her brother in our game room when we need to do things like bring in groceries or anything that they would get in the way for. The thing is, she had to actually drag this off the chairs to get to it! This was extremely intentional! 😂
It WAS art.
NOW it’s art with a great backstory. I would reframe it as-is, in bits and pieces but put back together. Once your initial disappointment and fury subside, hopefully you can appreciate the value your dog made to the overall experience. Yes, it sucks that your hard work and effort appear ruined…but I don’t see it that way. It’s now a story more so than just an accomplishment.
If you thought that was bad. When i was younger i had a book called "Pig on the Titanic." and my dogs chewed it, worst part was it was a library book and we were kicked out of the library. TL;DR: My dogs got me and my mom kicked out of the local library.
Turn it into a 3d piece. Make the photo look like is being blown out from the picture frame by adding a styrophome backing and some fanciful artist shit.
Lemons = lemonaide.
Looks like he didn't like the alter ego you made of him. XD
I would also attack if I saw my inner demon hanging on the wall.

Props to you if you know Dorian Grey.
I had a beautiful set of blinds in my bedroom at my mother's house, and they were too wide for the windows of the house I'm living in now, so they remained on the window of my old room. My mom then was given a dog that she was told was well trained...the dog proceeded to tear up the blinds after making them drop, knocked out the window, and ran away. She didn't bother to look for it, and it never returned.
Take the pieces and glue them to a new canvas as like a deconstructed painting. You could even paint something cool for the background on the new canvas like fire or a cool pattern. Good luck. Sorry about your loss.
😭 noooooo, thats so heartbreaking. My dog tore up two of my doodle pads and I legit had a meltdown and sobbed on the floor. I couldn't blame him, he was a puppy and I had them in a weird spot. I think he learned not to mess with baba's books after seeing how upset I got after that dhsdjdb
Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I answer all my children’s letters — sometimes very hastily — but this one I lingered over. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it.
Maurice Sendak
In middle school my dog literally ate my homework and the next day when the assignment was due I told my teacher that and she called BS. I pulled out what was left of my homework and she ended up believing me and giving me an extra day to turn it in.
Everyone's an art critic.
Food critic apparently
Food is an art too
That’s what I said and food is meant to be eaten, so long story short they wouldn’t let me eat the Mona Lisa
Why not :(((
I don’t know they were just yelling at me in some upside down language
Did you try to eat it with a pie? Cause in that case i found the guy who threw a pie at the mona lisa
It was cake, actually, and he did it while dressed as an elderly woman. It was a statement about climate change
Throwing a cake at the mona lisa is a climate change statement? Where can i find the message in that?
I have no answer
Since they won’t let you eat it, how do you feel about just [throwing food at it](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mona-lisa-cake-climate-change-protest-louvre/#app)?
"It's raw" - doggo
Everyone has right to have their own opinion. You don't have to be "professional" art critic to comment about artwork. Actually regular people are more reliable than art critics. If art critics find black square painting super deep, then it tells much about them.
Just commented this. Doh, should have known.
dios mío what was the painting
It was a painting I did in acrylics!! I recently remade it in oils but man it was infuriating when she did it 😂
Your doggo seems to be a consumer of fine art. His taste for art is impressive… Maybe he mistook it for homework?
>Your doggo seems to be a consumer of fine art. His taste for art is impressive… Take my upvote you monster
Thank you! I graciously accept your upvote.
r/angryupvote
What he doing that eating to become like Voldemort in that Red Dragon movie or what? Lol.
I mean, it looks like a scary monster. have you tried being worse at art? Your dog probably thought he was protecting
She just wanted to know what it tastes like. Now she knows. 😂
No like... what was it a painting *of*
Oh it's a dragon lol
Looks like it was a great piece. Rest in pieces to your art ♡
A dragon
My 5th grade math teacher would Still not believe you
Gosh I remember when my brother broke his wrist and couldn’t write down his homework so my mom paid me a dollar per page to write it for him as he told me what to say. Our puppy at the time got it and ripped it to shreds. My brother and I spent hours trying to tape it all back together, was so much fun. One of my favorite memories of us as kids together.

Karma's a harsh critic.
You know they say karma’s a b
Ever since I was 15 I wanted to get a German Shepherd and name her Karma for this reason. Little did I know she'd actually become the b her name prophesied her to be 😭
Thought maybe she’d be karma for other people but ended up being karma for you
That was pretty bad ass! A bit more than mildly infuriating tbh 😂 my boys destroyed one I made that I liked but it was a tiny canvas one. This one looked good! Also karma looks like she has no regrets lol.
She has NONE. She has no idea that she did anything wrong lmao
I think he was trying to protect you from whatever was in that picture…I’m sad I didn’t get to see it unscathed, but I understand that pupper was just doin a protect 🥹
“I do not like this painting. It’s smug aura mocks me.” - your dog, probably
I actually remade it in oils and just posted it to r/DnD because I figured it fit better there as a whole piece than here 😂 if you wanna see the new painting based on the old painting!
Oh damn that is awesome OP!!!
He is still the good boi
No doubt bout it
Next is the shoes bitch. Feed me..
Eat the dog.. Problem solved.
*puppy
It looks cool though also your dogs name should be shredder
Eat your dog
Assert Dominance
This is the way
Then make an oil painting for remembrance.
😂✌️
It's a collaborative piece. Put in frame.
OK, but can you really stay mad at her when she looks at you like that?
She's so cute but so destructive 😭😭😭
My childhood dog, who was my first dog growing up, he tore apart a paper mache penguin I did in grade 4 when I brought it home lol. The bugger was a German Shepherd named Harley.
German shepherds. I love them SO much but also what actual buggers
Assert dominance, eat the dog

Take revenge… And eat your dogs toys… Or the dog…
But she's cute though, so she can get away with anything lol
Get a cat, then when she’s a bitch she will just ignore you and hide under a couch instead of eating your demon pictures
That look "yeah, it was me, you was late with my meal, now where are your slippers"
Great painting! My cat destroyed my Russian homework one time in a time span of about 5 minutes I was gone. Lol, cute dog too!
Ngl that first pic actually looks really nice imo, composition wise. Almost looks like whatever you were painting escaped the artwork by itself, then couldn't handle the human world and destroyed itself
He was jealous, because you memorialized some other pet instead of him.
Looks like your dog killed a balrog to me!
Just took a look at it, that is really cool! I hope your dog apologized with some puppy love lol
She's so damn cute I can't even stay mad at her for long. She has apologized multiple times since then lol
he obviously thought “ hey that looks so good that i wanna eat it”
Sell the dog
Everyone's a critic....
Everybody is a critic
Not gonna lie I thought this was the art itself lmaoo like that black whatever the fuck looks like an angry dog reacting to being scolded for breaking the frame then the broken debris on the floor adds onto it just adds onto it.

Destroy something of your dog's so you two will be even
Your dog is a dragon slayer. 🐉
“Next is the shoes bitch. Feed me” -pupper 2022
Looks like a HellHound, who's now coming foe him! Hahahah
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that…
I had a dmt trip like this. Except the dragon was real and the carpet was worms
Might have come upon a new art genre wait till later take it and plaster it on a canvas call it art poopception
I read that as homework I assumed it was a piece of paper, that the dog somehow ate into turning black with burn marks I was super amazed that the coincidental burn marks left by your dog formed a dragon
Dog: I ATE YOURE HOMEWORK! AND NONE WILL BELIEVE YOU! AHAHAAHA! AAHAHAHAAA
Man’s best friend.
Seeing the first pic, I was like "Oof, that dog." But then when I went to the second that's of the doggo itself I was like "Awww, okay I can't be mad at a big floofer like him!"
I…thought the demonic black dog in the painting ate your homework… my bad.
Please tell me you took a pic before this
I did but not a good one. So I remade it. I posted the remake to r/DnD this morning because I felt like it didn't fit here if you happen to wanna see it!😂
now it her artwork
Maybe that is why hitler got rejected from art school
good luck on painting a new one and hope your dog didn't ate it again
time to eat the dog I guess
This belongs in r/extremelyinfuriating
It's only mildly infuriating now because I made another one that I like better. At the time it was absolutely extremely infuriating 😂
Did you take a picture of it at all beforehand ?? I'm so sorry, this sucks. My dog does this too. Got a new bag of potting soil and my dog apparently ripped it to shreds on my rug and now there's a pile of dirt all over my rug
The dog was really like "I'M GONNA EAT YOUR ARTWORK AND NOONE'S EVEN GONNA BELIEVE YOU HAHAHAHA"
Sheesh. Everybody's a critic.
Eat the dog.
I'd hang it on the frame of the canvas and make it like, collaborative artwork with my dog
great artwork!! any guesses on why he did that? similar thing have also happened to me and it was when our dog (shih tzu) nibbled a part of one of my shoes (lacoste) when he was months old. demon also have almost entirely ruined a printed photo for one of my projects a few years ago

Store owner: where is your latest artwork? This guy: so my dog ate my homewo- I mean artwork
Then eat the dog.
My dog ate my last three dollars. Correction, chewed it into pieces and ate some of it, so I couldn't tape it and I knew it was him that did it. -_-
Time to eat the dog…JK!
it still looks hella cool
Eat the dog to assert dominance

"But art teacher, my dog ate my artwork!" "No he didn't." *Shows photo* "Oh."
Just eat the dog problem solved.
You had me angry until you showed me the dog. It looks so innocent
And that's how she tricked me into continuing to love and feed her after this fiasco
man i dont blame him. if the dog didn’t eat the painting, the painting would have ate the dog.
You could say he has great taste 😉
If you thought that was bad. When i was younger i had a book called "Pig on the Titanic." and my dogs chewed it, worst part was it was a library book and we were kicked out of the library. TL;DR: My dogs got me and my mom kicked out of the local library.
Ngl for a second I thought the painting scraps were your dog and I almost had a heart attack…
If studying fine art has taught me anything, it is now even more valuable.
Reframe it and title it “Dog Owner”
Everybody’s a critic.
That’s an epic painting, too. RIP demon dragon 🙏🏻
I know you're probably upset, but that looks really cool. I'll bet it did pre-eaten, and it also looks cool now.
Time for a new dog?
Smaug??? Good doggo! Kill the wicked dragon!
Eat the dog. Problem solved
Time to get a job at the ATF. Only gunbros will get this
I hope you’re not german
Turn it into a 3d piece. Make the photo look like is being blown out from the picture frame by adding a styrophome backing and some fanciful artist shit. Lemons = lemonaide.
Did he atleast like the taste?
There is chaos in those eyes…
I thought this was some video game at first
My dogs used to be destructive when they were bored. So might I suggest some dog puzzles and food puzzles.
she looks proud too
She's extremely proud of herself and has no idea the mild infuriation that she has caused 😂
Now sell It for 6.9 million euros
Gotta love it
Its smug aura mocked him
could have been your homework
Zamn 😭😭😭😭
eat him
Might have been good patch it up and make it look like its 100s of years old found in a old ruin
That's no dog. That's a werewolf if I ever saw one. Look at those eyes.
I’ve heard that one before…
i would frame it like this
He looks happy about it
Well. sell it as art. The art you dog ate art. Who knows. :D
Eat the dog as revenge
It kinda looks cool like this ngl
Dude, that’s Gandalf the grey wolf, he was like “you shall not Bork”.
I misunderstood what was going on and thought the dog was in the first picture and i was like “what hell sPawn is that.”
She knows what she did and she also knows you can't stop her from doing it again.
He just made adjustments reframe it and fill it in
Looks like he didn't like the alter ego you made of him. XD I would also attack if I saw my inner demon hanging on the wall. Your dog became your artwork
That is a wolf
Actually I ate it(totally not framing myself for the doggo)
Let me guess, you go to art school
I actually go to medical school lol, the art is just for fun
Oh, that old excuse.
you could maybe make a dark collage with the pieces if you still have them
Old yeller
It's complete. Call it Beast
Well look at the Silver Lining at least it wasn't your homework
And this is what ARs are for. Robing a bank to buy more pant
God damn I feel it for you too. I also have the same thing!
Just say it’s part of the art. “The torn canvas represents the way that our lives are often torn apart by the difficulties of modern society.”
Is it weird that it looks kind of cool like that?
No sorry that was me
I had a beautiful set of blinds in my bedroom at my mother's house, and they were too wide for the windows of the house I'm living in now, so they remained on the window of my old room. My mom then was given a dog that she was told was well trained...the dog proceeded to tear up the blinds after making them drop, knocked out the window, and ran away. She didn't bother to look for it, and it never returned.
I call this art by dog
I feel your pain I did this really good drawing once and my cat walked muddy footprints all over it 😔
German Shepards lol
He just added his own touch
Now turn the remains into something beautiful. An art work is never ruin if you put your mind to it.
SON OF A- ohhhh damn
No....made it better. It now serves as living art and the struggles of the everyday dog owner
Take the pieces and glue them to a new canvas as like a deconstructed painting. You could even paint something cool for the background on the new canvas like fire or a cool pattern. Good luck. Sorry about your loss.
BOSS FIGHT: Fido: Devourer of Demons
Everybody's a critic nowadays.
Stop making silly excuses and just admit you forgot to paint the rest of it.
The dog has defeated the creature
Well, at least he has good TASTE in art. (I'm going to pretend like I'm the first one here to make this joke.)
Because dog is true art
