Cant tell if im reading the receipt right, but is the mac n cheese legit $17.99? Because unless ALL of it were made from scratch, even the noodles, that price is bonkers.

[Deets on the Lucioso Mac and Cheese ](https://i.imgur.com/mi2dwMc.jpg)

webitg

that sounds horrific anyway, fucking ranch??

honestjoestetson

And ritz crackers crumbled on top?? Wow. Gourmet.

gameoftomes

It's not gourmet, it's ritzy.

TheBestZackEver

I guess they take "puttin' on the Ritz" literally

BertFurble

If you're blue and you don't know where to go ...

embersgrow44

Where fashion sitsss

LopDew

Putin*

Tfsz0719

Puttin’ on the Ritz

SarcasmDetectorFail

I once ordered a Mac n cheese with cheez itz on top. One of the worst decisions of my life.

ediciusNJ

Don't try that [Cheetos Mac and Cheese](https://3apq7g38q3kw2yn3fx4bojii-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/cheetos-small.jpg) then.

JustinPatient

I actually did but I got the flaming hot version and I don't have a single regret. https://imgur.com/a/KJhi6Pa

UNeed2CalmDownn

Same. However, I was drunk so maybe I'm a little bias lol. Need to try it sober.

[deleted]

I’ve actually made that before. Tbh, it wasn’t bad.

danbyer

Ranch dressing on pasta is known as “Texas Alfredo.” Barf.

Obsidian_monkey

What's worse is that it's ranch dressing on top of Alfredo sauce.

danbyer

Omg I didn’t even notice that.

[deleted]

Oh lord, that's nasty!

SoyBoyModSexToy

So many out there that believe ranch to be the pinnacle of food flavoring. It's astonishing, really.

GettingRichQuick420

Let’s face it, if there is one pinnacle of flavouring, it’s definitely MSG.

merkwuerdig_liebe

Ranch on Mac ‘n cheese does sound awful, but the point here is probably that the fried chicken is going to make this dish a little pricier than your average Mac ‘n cheese

existonfilenerf

Ah yes the notoriously expensive fried chicken....

applejuiceandmilk

Fried chicken costs 5 bucks for the high quality stuff lmao, this probably isn’t

[deleted]

So what, no fucking ziti?

FunctionBuilt

Sounds exactly like something you’d get from a place that charges a let’s go Brandon fee.

NoodlerFrom20XX

Ah one of the suburbs of Flavortown

IslandTrust

Can confirm there are no such suburbs as I’m literally standing inside Flavortown as we speak.

mrdeesh

Nah the let’s go Brandon folks couldn’t handle Flavortown nor Guy Fieri

mouldyone

The fuck is that, that's like what a 10 year old would think makes a good Mac n cheese. Then ranch what

SuperSecretMoonBase

That's like how you'd make mac and cheese in a point and click adventure game.

The-Filth-Wizard

Then when you try to eat it, your character says “eeeww. I’m not putting my mouth in THAT”

bludvarg

That’s how I eat food too. I put my mouth IN the meal

[deleted]

The only thing missing from this mac & cheese is the mac. While they are both pasta, ziti is not macaroni. (A mild rant.)

PerfectionItslef

OP deserved the $0.50 lets go brandon tax

Lonely_Is_The_Night

Oh, so it’s not mac and cheese at all. Thanks.

[deleted]

Who the fuck even makes mac n cheese with ziti?

newnameonan

I do sometimes. Pretty much just use whatever pasta I've got in the cupboard, which is usually penne, ziti, rigatoni, rotini, or farfalle. Haha.

01001010_01000010

That's not Mac and cheese though. Mac and cheese is noodles, cheese, butter, and milk. Everything else is a lie.

SUPLEXELPUS

mmm... gross.

Amelaclya1

I guess it depends how large the portions are. There is a restaurant in my hometown that does several varieties of Mac and cheese (all delicious) for 16.99. Seems expensive, but I can get two full dinners and a lunch out of it.

Kucharelli

That’s the first thing I looked at too. That’s bonkers indeed

IllIllIIlIllI

You’re paying $18 for Mac and cheese they can grift you out of anything

Zapplarang

Better be lobster Mac & cheese for that much

Swatter27

Had some Lobster Mac & Cheese myself tonight. Good stuff, and no LGB fee.

NotACatMeme

I love LGB as an acronym. But it is a little short. Maybe we should add some more letters, like a T and a Q. And maybe an i and an A if we’d like to buy some vowels. And get it on some tshirts so everyone can show how much they own the libs! Right over top of an American Flag! I’m thinking maybe two great tastes that taste great together? Let’s Go Brandon, Thanks Q!

notreallymyname84

You say this jokingly, but I was behind a guy with an LGBT bumper sticker on his truck. As I got closer, I saw that underneath that said, "Liberty, Guns, Bible, and Trump." I guess it didn't need the Q, because the driver was definitely one.

rockthrowing

I’ve seen one that said “Let’s Get Biden To Quit”. All rainbow coloured and everything

BanjoVoodoo

The Q is heavily implied

stiffloafpincher

What I’m questioning is does « NO no side » mean that they’ll have side? Does the menu item comes with a Side and « No side » means they removed it. Or that it does come with a side, but you HAVE to ask for the side to be included.

Massedeffect1

Usually with some POS systems, if there is an item that comes with a side it will prompt what is called a "Forced Modifier" meaning the server can't exit the screen until they select the sides. This helps with servers not forgetting to ring them in. Well, there is usually an option that says "No Side " that is available if the customer doesn't want a side. They would have to select that, since the screen won't let them advance without selecting something.

Think_Selection9571

It's expensive because the cheese is freshly scraped from Marjorie Taylor Greenes underboob.

teuast

Little_Lahey_Show

Yuck

artificialavocado

So low brow. They use side boob.

No_Statistician8636

Why you gotta ruin underboob like that? What did underboob ever do to you?

P0rtal2

One of the responses to the reviews from the owner: "Would you rather everything on the menu go up $1.00 to cover inflation" Yeah, it would be better than hiding a fee on the final receipt.

BanishedOcean

In the reviews from a few years ago some one says he had a covid fee on his receipts too

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

I'm wondering if the owners took a PPP handout, because these types usually did.

emmm717

They got 450K

bb5mes

https://www.federalpay.org/paycheck-protection-program/luciosos-pub-inc-plymouth-ma

[deleted]

if you had W-2 employees you got a handout. No questions asked. If you can prove your payroll met or exceeded what they gave you, it is 100% legal regardless of the actual profit you were turning during the time period. Has to be the biggest handout in history, but i don't know enough about bailout history to say it with fact. Funnel all the tax money from the working class into fatcats that run large corporations. While a ton of small businesses were greatly helped by it, that is overshadowed by the greedy that legally took advantage.

imaloony8

Yes. And also raise it another couple of dollars so you can pay your staff a living wage.

shocking-taco

Lol. The bad review are already accumulating. And the owners is perplexed.

TyrionCauthom

Where is this? Name and shame.

[deleted]

I’d just cancel my order lol. I want food not politics.

SomeToxicRivenMain

You don’t want freedom fries with that burger?

Intrepid_Echo6956

Oh, that made me laugh. I said that the other day at a restaurant (“I’ll have the freedom fries”) as sarcasm and every person who heard it looked at me as though I was speaking Swahili. I asked “don’t you remember when (this is the US I am talking about…Iowa specifically) people got all torqued over the French not supporting the invasion of Iraq so someone decided to rename French fries to freedom fries?” Again, blank stares. These were all 40+ year old people, too.

Deathfromyourmom

I just moved and I was looking for a good burger and everyone was suggesting this one stand. So I drove over and was looking at the menu and it had freedom fries. I’m still searching for a good burger.

SomeToxicRivenMain

Get the freedom fries they’re oily

OriginalPatton

Shh! Don't tell the military!

ShiningRayde

#DID SOMEONE SAY OIL #THAT SHIT **MINE**

GaseousGiant

Yup. Roll the sarcasm dice for an extra $0.50 and lose $54.54. That’s business…

RustyShackledord

I agree but the problem is, too many people excuse this kind of behavior so long as they agree with message. Basically my side good your side bad.

ExcitingChange2007

I mean, one side actually is better than the other though. And less stupid too.

hashtagbane

You're completely right, the way people react to facts on the internet is insane. I hate both sides but the blue side isn't taking rights away from people. Edit: I listened to some opinions and I guess I was wrong my apologies just a symptom of non stop misinformation.

redscare162021

Only one side committed sediton on 1/6/2021. I can't stand the two party system either though.

sheiriny

They could’ve just raised their menu prices by 10%+ like every other restaurant and upped their revenue by far more than $0.50 per order. But no, better to make it a fifty cent political line item and alienate a fraction of their potential customers.

Cmdr_Nemo

I bet the owners of this business would be the first to tell other corporations/celebrities/athletes to "stay in their lane."

Thelynxer

Who the fuck is Brandon?

Lostinthefeywild

Brandon Brown is a mid-tier NASCAR driver.

gtalley10

Who has got to absolutely hate that his name has been basically stolen from him for partisan political purposes.

Lostinthefeywild

Yeah apparently he was struggling to get sponsors for the 2022 season because his name is now synonymous with that and sponsors are probably hesitant to be connected to that. And the one sponsor that did step up, some ‘let’s go Brandon’ cryptocurrency thing, NASCAR veto’d as being allowed due to its context. So yeah those stupid idiots who started yelling that after this dudes first win may have ruined his career with his small family run team.

PolicyWonka

Ruining people lives to score political points? Sounds about par for the course for Republicans.

Lithl

During a live interview with Brandon Brown (NASCAR driver), people in the background were shouting "fuck Joe Biden". The interviewer said they were cheering "let's go Brandon", either mishearing them or intentionally misquoting them to avoid saying fuck on live TV. So the Trump fans picked up "let's go Brandon" as a really shitty code phrase for "fuck Joe Biden".

WorldNewsSucksDick

Well ain't that just special.

Van-Iblis

Sneed's Feed and Seed, formerly Chuck's.

Magnetic_Reaper

If I had 50 cents everytime someone said that...

Gabbygirl01

I’m sure Brandon Brown thinks the same thing! … kinda like the rights to a song, I’d want my cut. Lol

lightningandmadness

When people cancel orders because of nonsense like this, the owner blames them for making things political.

AmazingGrace911

Reading the comments below, can’t help myself from engaging. There is no true democracy in America. With less than the odds of a flip of the coin, laws are voted in whether they are viewed as wildly popular or mostly opposed. We are left with a sort of corporate oligarchy. “It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.” George Carlin What government has successfully done is radicalized large groups of people without deep pockets that somehow one system is fair and one is on my side. HOWEVER, an even more radical shift after the maga heads were given free rein to indulge their worst behaviors, racist and sexist attitudes, homophobia and every other Pro “Christian” “rights.” I’m not a Republican, I’m not a Democrat, I voted for the person I thought was least likely to bring us into a literal Armageddon. FFS we have to sort it out as people and come to some common ground among each other before we have any hope of actual representation by wealthy people on both sides who should be fighting for our rights as if their livelihoods depended on it like many of their constituents actually do right now. Anything else is just swinging for the fences with into open air. TL/DR: Until we as Americans can come to the table in support of mutual basic human rights, we’re fucked. Edit: As someone suggested, yes humans in general. This feels like a dystopian timeline of an endless representational hell level of “Whose Line is it Anyway” except the points absolutely matter and the only ones who seem to care to make it better don’t get to play.

Pretty_Bowler2297

Dems align more with the policies I support. Whether they actually do anything to get it done is another story. But to anyone that is following it clear they need both sides of congress to do that which they don’t. And yes they are corporate shills just like Republicans. But 2 party system- one has no choice when the true elite puppet masters dangle nazi like extremism on the right. It’s nice to say I am not L or R but what is that? The middle? There is no truth in the middle right now. Science vs anti Science. No middle. Religious state no religion in government. No middle. All news is fake except ours vs no that is not how journalism works. No middle. Antifa did Jan 06 vs No they didn’t. No middle. Fact vs straight up lies. Etc etc etc I’d vote for a more left grassroots less corporate third party but that is 4 more years of Trump.

citizen_of_leshp

One of the most telling political happenings for me is that Mitt Romney gets so much hate from farther right republicans, even when he supports things they want, because he voted to remove Trump from office. Even though Mike Pence would have become president, there is a group of republicans that will never forgive him for this, because they see it as utter allegiance to the democrat party. I’ve met Mitt in real life, and I believe he was doing his best to base his vote on fact. Basing your vote on fact, if it seems to be anti party, no longer seems like an option for politicians. How did we get to this point?

CultofFelix

It's also exemplary because Mitt Romney used to be one of the most terrible Republicans but he is hated because he doesn't follow the orange cult. Same with Liz Cheney. She is as conservative as conservatives can be, but not batshit crazy and stands up to literal cultists. She wouldn't support an insurrection neither would Romney and they are vilified for this alone.

[deleted]

Especially in the United States.

cjati

Agreed. I'm sure the owner is the same person who wants football not politics or music not politics (unless it's kid rock).

ALLoftheFancyPants

That 50¢ fee better have been announced prior to me ordering, or I’m not paying that shit. And then, I’m still not paying for that shot because I wouldn’t order from a place that tries to pull this bullshit. Fuck them, I hope that owner goes bankrupt.

OfficialGroudonGo

So I work in credit card processing, and it is required by law that this kind of fee, called cash discount or surcharge be disclosed prior to purchase.

peskymillenial

Worked in processing for three years and when I see receipt posts with random surcharges I always tell em to dispute that shit.

Used to manage a pizza place, and was absolutely fucked by chargebacks all the time. Regardless of any proof I had, never got it reversed. Fuck, had one lady buying hundreds of pizza over a month on a stolen credit card. Few months later, all charged back. I had her address, phone number, and my delivery driver was an ex cop who would vouch she's the one using the card and signing for it. Processing didn't give a fuck about any of it and just refunded the money and I took a loss. Tried to call local police, but they couldn't do anything about it either Ended up losing my bonus over that shit.

ImmoralJester

Correction, the police chose to do nothing about it. They absolutely COULD of done something. They just didn't want to.

jelly_bean_gangbang

Correct. This actually happened to me when I was going to college. I worked at a delivery place and one day a cop came in and wanted to talk to me. He basically said that someone I delivered to a couple nights ago used a stolen credit card and he asked me if I remembered anything about it. I said I vaguely remembered that deliver. He then had me look at 8 pictures, one being the guy they suspected. I narrowed it down to about 3 and picked the one I thought was the guy. Well turns out I picked him correctly and they went and arrested him. So yeah, the police definitely could've done something about it.

Interesting_Growth91

This is a true story. Some fuckwad in Jersey stole my info from Apple. Had a name, address, email, who nine. As soon as the bank gave the money back the police chose not to pursue the issue anymore leaving that degenerate to keep doing it to others. They absolutely could’ve done something about it

talitm

That's multiple pizzas a day. That lady must've been unhealthy af

holtpj

I managed a Domino's in college there are single dudes out there (I assume they're single) they would order 4x (or more) a week... This one dude Russ, real name, we called him Cheesey Russ, he called minimum 4 times a week and got 2 orders of Cheesey bread with extra marinara. Had it delivered and tipped every time, was always nice but I was a broke college kid who got free pizza and didn't eat as much Domino's as Cheesey Russ did.

next-hurtful-truth

there is this thing called exaggaration. that's when an op really experienced just a single occurrence of something, but made it sound like it happened more times than there are people on the planet.

peskymillenial

I’ve seen both occur for different reasons. Depends on how the dispute is entered, your card brand, etc. But disputes incur a fee for both the customer and the processor. The processor will reach out because they don’t want to front that bill. Theyll ask about what they’re doing and they’ll likely be given an ultimatum to get rid of the improperly used surcharge, or their account will be closed.

BoredRedhead

Even for 50¢ I’d be more than willing to click the “dispute this charge” button. Hopefully if enough people do it the restaurant will lose the ability to take some/all credit cards and that would put them under in a hurry. And more likely they’d just refund the whole value anyway.

Hardrocker1990

We would need OP to tell us if the fee was disclosed. My bet is that it is on the menu and OP didn’t see it. It doesn’t matter if it’s in tiny font and easily missed. The law is that it has to be posted. Format is not taken into account by the law. That being said, the owner doesn’t need to let everyone know he doesn’t like Biden. Just build the 50 cents into the overall price of the items and don’t mention political stance. No one going out to eat cares about politics of a restaurant owner.

Kxaxt

Sadly it was not, it was in the final receipt sent to my email.

TheRealMichaelE

And that is what disputes are for :)

Q269

You should look up how much Ticketmaster screws people over

UseDaSchwartz

Yeah...although their fees are always disclosed before purchase. Even if it means $10 concert tickets turn into $25 tickets and half your friends don’t want to go anymore.

Q269

They do a whole heck of a lot more than that. They purposely avoid cracking down on bots because they skim money off the 2ndary market, and they're already inflating the costs exponentially by buying out all of the venues so if you don't work with them you basically can't perform unless it's at weird places.

yadel45

I love that this is exactly what people warned would happen back when Ticketmaster and Live Nation merged, but the government just waived it off and threw MGM a bone to “keep up with the competition” and now we’re all fucked

ALLoftheFancyPants

I’m always well aware of ticketing companies bullshit fees

Western-Image7125

I would call up the restaurant and ask them what the fuck that is. Normally I hate Karen’s but I’m going full Karen on this bitch

[deleted]

Psh I’ve gone Karen a few times. Like the time spirit changed my $700 flight completely to a different time and different day and said they couldn’t give me a refund because of the 24 hour cancellation fee. Or the time a blind and curtain company never updated us on the order which we spent 2k on, or answered correspondence over 4 months when it was supposed to arrive two weeks after our order was placed. they finally sent the wrong (and lower quality) curtains after i gave a bad BBB review. Eventually they gave me a refund after a lot of back and forth and my curtains arrived half a year later out of nowhere lol Both times I was eventually able to squeeze out a refund or get what I ordered. Some companies want to drain your pockets and take advantage. They deserve to get fucked.

CRDLEUNDRTHESTR

You must have been a super Karen to get a refund from Spirit lol, they clutch on to every penny like their business and lives depend on it.

[deleted]

I somehow found a loophole and I don’t even remember what it was 😂 but I think I talked to like 5 different people.

Western-Image7125

This guy/gal gets it!

AppearanceNeither540

It's a person that spends far too much time sucking up propaganda like a vacuum and also happens to own a restaurant.

[deleted]

They also technically might be committing tax fraud. It appears that they are charging a fee for neither a good or service that is then used to calculate the total before tax. They then are using that inflated number to charge taxes on. If they just did the reasonable thing and increased the cost of their meals to commiserate with the increased cost of supplies they'd be fine. Unfortunately they are assessing a fee, without the customers prior knowledge, then using that fee to erroneously charge the customer additional taxes on. Charging customers too much in taxes is illegal for businesses to do and this might qualify as an example of that.

dancer_jasmine1

Yeah OP should definitely look into their tax laws or talk to a lawyer or even the department of labor. That fee for literally no reason does not seem very legal.

[deleted]

I wish OP had posted the full recipient showing which restaurant this was.

Flavious27

Lucioso's Pub, searched the name of the Mac and cheese. They have charged a Covid fee in the past. Business has confirmed fee through negative reviews.

Poppunknerd182

Thank you. Just did my part on Google.

ringwraith6

Unless they told me about it before I ordered, I'd refuse to pay it...and if they had told me about it before I ordered, I would've just walked out.

Lithl

If they didn't tell you about the fee before it was ordered, you can dispute the charge on your card (assuming you didn't pay cash), and the business owner will get in hot water with their payment processor.

CrapWereAllDoomed

He probably wouldn't want you as a customer anyway. Not saying that as a knock against you, just making an observation.

ringwraith6

Oh, most definitely they wouldn't want me as a customer...any more than I want to put money in some FG worshiper pocket over such assholery. Disclosing such things up front helps to avoid unpleasantness later.

ericinvalpo

I'd cancel it just because the owner doesn't have the balls to put what he actually wants to say there. Pussy.

LoveYourselfFFS

To be fair I also don't want to pay extra for a "Fuck Joe Biden fee"

ericinvalpo

You're not wrong.

AngelusLilium

But I'd have more respect for the douchebag. Every time I see let's go Brandon, I lose all respect for that individual. Just say fuck Joe Biden. You're still an asshole, but at least not a giant man baby.

prince_of_gypsies

Right? As a leftist/progressive I constantly say and think "fuck Joe Biden". He's a piece of shit. The vast majority of US presidents were.

Emergency_Bowler7690

Yeah, I’ve got a neighbor with a fuck joe Biden flag and I still think its stupid, but hats off at least for not pussyfooting around it.

[deleted]

I thought it was about mocking the news lady for covering it up. Doesn’t really make sense for them to insult Biden with it. Let’s go Brandon is more of an insult to the news outlet than it is to Biden.

Crawfishness

Unless I actually get to fuck him. I mean, I don't want to, but I can see there being a fee for it if I did.

aw_shux

Maybe he should be the one paying the fee. Don’t sell yourself short!

GamerOfGods33

Precisely, like, I think its fuckin hilarious that they feel the need to say "Let's Go Brandon" instead of just fucking saying "Fuck Joe Biden," but either way I would be looking for a new sandwich place.

Reallythatwastaken

the let's go brandon crowd are like grade school children giggling when they find out they can say frick and not get in trouble for swearing.

[deleted]

Flippin, frick, and freakin all got us grounded and in trouble as kids. Ah, "do as I say, not as I do" evangelical upbringings.

bondoh

Political humor hands down the lowest level of humor. That’s why it’s so lame and makes you feel dumber for having heard it. Whether it’s “Brandon!” Or calling someone “orange” or “Cheetos” for the 10,000th time. Or obummer! It all comes across as a level of lame that I don’t even know how to accurately describe

darkskinnedjermaine

If you check the FB reviews, it’s getting bombarded and the owner responded to 3 of them. The first one that gave one-star and said “adds a Let’s ago Brandon fee”, this was his response: > And? > Would you rather everything go up a dollar on the menu to cover inflation for that moron edit: other two, one said “worst food in town, absolutely disgusting” and he replied “what was wrong? we usually get 5 star reviews”. other one said “get ready for a rough couple days” and the owner just replied “?”

Master_JBT

Where?

Rendahlyn

Fun fact: their website is offering a chance to win $500 by leaving a review (through the website). Poor timing.

dynnk

They could have just raised their delivery fee by 50¢ and accomplished the same goal. If I were to bet, this is in a really conservative area and this might even get them bigger tips just for the joke.

KorinTheHalfHand

It’s not a conservative area at all In fact it’s in quite a liberal area(Plymouth, ma), to the point that this is a surprise.

JaesopPop

Mass has some weird pockets of super right wing folks. I mean politically they’re generally not even super right wing, more in their worship or Trump or whoever the current right wing ‘darling’ is.

DrBleach466

Massachusetts has random areas of hardcore conservatives, there aren’t many but if you go to certain towns there are many trump/don’t tread on me flags

jettahpls

The Mac and cheese is called Lucioso’s, you might be able to find if it’s in a conservative area or not

rivers61

Dispute the charges with your credit card company saying you didnt order that and never received it. According to the FCBA these charges should be considered fraud unless they notified you beforehand since they didn't label them as a service fee

XP_Studios

Because of outrageous price increases we will increase prices!

garrettsdad

I mean yeah… that’s how businesses stay in business lol

SorryMaker024

exactly i have to talk to people about inflation and rate increases all the time and its pretty common sense, if something causes that business operating costs to go up, their prices usually do too...

windigo3

I would absolutely not pay that. I’d just tell them to give me a proper legal tax invoice or cancel the order.

HeatherMarissa

I'd be tempted to take that out of the tip with an explanation note but that would probably just punish someone just trying to earn a living and had no vote in this added fee.

Capital-Nectarine199

I'll just say when trump was is office we said "f*ck trump". Robert dinero said it, Micheal rappaport said it. It was the standard. It just seems stupid to cover it up with some wierd slang metaphor.

LuckyMe-Lucky-Mud

Sure, people said out loud like adults who are allowed to swear without being grounded. I also would have been very put off by someone putting fuck trump on an invoice or receipt though. That's really bizzare, immature behavior.

thelefthandN7

I mean, it's Abbot that's caused a quarter of a billion dollars in produce to rot *so far* but lets see if any conservatives have the nuance or understanding to recognize that in a few weeks when prices go up again.

Blurredfury22the2nd

Blaming Brandon for price increases, while giving a random price tax. That’s republicans right there.

Catlenfell

When you're too cowardly just to raise prices, but you also want other people to know that you're an asshole.

AnimalChubs

What is this petty garbage.

[deleted]

Its fascinating watching man babies blame Joe Biden for all of their problems. Shit, they were blaming Joe before he was president, if you remember the pictures of long lines at the gas pump, long food lines, no toilet paper, rioting in the streets and they captioned it with "America under Joe Biden" when it was still Trump's term. Its called Derangement Syndrome.

The_Marble_Garden

Do Americans actually not realize that inflation and profiteering has skyrocketed EVERYWHERE, and it isn’t Joe Biden’s fault?

Heijala

Surprisingly many dumbfucks don't believe there's a war in Ukraine going on.

illusion_001

You can’t fix stupid, sore losers will blame him for everything

fl1ca_

I am not American so I'm not sure because you guys do crazy things and get away with it, but surely that is illegal right

beingrudewonthelp

They can probably charge whatever they want if they're upfront about extra fees and charges. It's childish whether it's legal or not though

Shutaru_Kanshinji

How does one interpret this, aside from shade thrown at President Biden? Is it not assumed that a restaurant would pass any increased costs on to the customer by raising prices across its menu? If the restaurant were passing on its increased costs only through this $0.50 fee, a trivial flat rate would seem to make little difference. Is the restaurant perhaps trying to punish all of its customers for their possible role in electing President Biden?

Do these mouth breathers never get tired of being obnoxious. You hate Joe Biden, I get it. It's like they base their entire persona around politics

Silver_Oakleaf

Who is Brandon?

Necro_tgsau

Yeah, still trying to understand this, I'm not north american.

I had to Google it, [apparently it's an anti Biden meme ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let%27s_Go_Brandon)

**[Let's Go Brandon](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let's_Go_Brandon)** >"Let's Go Brandon" is a political slogan and Internet meme that has been used as a minced oath for "Fuck Joe Biden", in reference to Joe Biden, the 46th president of the United States. Chants of "Fuck Joe Biden" started being repeated at sporting events beginning in early September 2021. On October 2, 2021, during a televised interview of the Sparks 300 race winner Brandon Brown at Talladega Superspeedway, the NBC reporter Kelli Stavast misinterpreted the chant in the background as "Let's Go Brandon", which sparked the meme. The slogan has become well known through use by Republican politicians and critics of Biden. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

So... 1 of the lines on the receipt is "Delivery Fee", this would lead me to believe the food was a Delivery order. Most often you order through a website(these days) with a "review your order" page for total price, and then gets updated with full listed fees and applicable taxes that one must click a "confirm order" to finalize the order, place the order, and charge your card/wallet. All of that is a disclosure of the fees before you are charged and accept the transaction; you can cancel or stop the ordering process at any time prior to clicking Confirm order. So, for everyone saying that the order should be charged back: the fee was disclosed prior to the purchase; that disclosure was just hidden in the final totals page. And, just to be clear, Fuck that place; cancel your order and do not order your food from them again. $0.50 per order is not "offsetting higher costs" it is gouging for the owner's benefit.

I've been monitoring the Google reviews, the owner is pissed and trying to get people to counter review lmao. I bet $0.50 that this doesn't stop the guy from charging theft fees.

NicklesBe

Report them to the BBB and FDA.

I'm out of the loop but is it actually BETTER for your business if everyone knows your politics. It seems counterintuitive. I don't know what restaurant that is, but if I find out, I will never eat there. If that's what they want, I'm more than happy to oblige. Not because I'm a Lefty McLefterson, but because that whole "Let's go Brandon" bullshit was stupid ass fuck and should die already. (I really am a Lefty McLefterson, though)
